The Reality Vortex: Doom Saga

Vegetto Black landed gently on the floor. His arms dangled at his sides, studying Spina and watching on as the other Saiyan slowly rose to his feet. His intense, cruel glare never faltered even after the taunt, a small vein across his forehead bulging out while he scoffed in annoyance.

"T̘͜ḩ̱̯̯i̜̪̣̪͈̣̹s̢͚ ̺̜̬ͅ...i̙̤ș̲͡n͈'҉̱̤̼̥̯t́ Z̞̣͈͍a̛̭̹͚m̟͓as͈͚̪̮͘u̺̤ ̨͙͓̣̙̭c̯̯̹͚͘o̴͖̻̞͓̘̰ͅw̫̜͚̜̹̺e͔̮̤̯͎̭r̦͍̫͕̣͘i̖̪̹͕ͅn̼̯̞̯ͅg ͍̩b̵̪̪̝̹e҉̩̥̤h̝̳͠i͔̭̫͍̙ǹ̰̫̤͇̮̥̘d͕̞̦͓͖͟ͅ ͎m҉̬͖̥ỳ͖̞̱ ̬͇̤͔̤s͍͔͎̣̰t̰͙̥ŗ͔e̸̦̲̲͙n̹͍͓̘g͔͕͇͎̟̻͕t̞h͢ ͏̣a̘̖̰̭n͍̖ý̦̩̩̰̰m͏̺̰̥͉̞o͓̼͚͉̮͎̕r͏̘ȩ̘̹̻͈͕͔.̣͈̯̙̬̫"

The silver eyes gleamed a bit like a flare of a solar ray, the hate clear in his strangely ominous dual voice.

He threw his arms out, gesturing to the body while the silver flames licked violently at the floor.

Vegetto Black raised his right arm, his fingers all pointed upwards with the open palm pointed directly at Spina. A violent surge of pink and silver energy ignited at the end of his hand, gradually building into a devastating ball of pure power that shook the ground violently beneath them both.

The destructive sphere of energy blasted forward, rapidly closing in on Spina as it tore up the ground below in its flight towards the other Saiyan.

Kassava gasped, the fist slamming into her stomach shortly after. Her golden and red pupils shook as she completely lost focus on the fight. Her eyes slowly shook, regaining their composure as she took the energy attacks head on. Grimacing in the constricted state under the energy, her eyes suddenly shot open in pure rage as she let out a violent, thunderous roar.

In an instant, the golden and red flames her aura blasted out in every direction. The intense, scorching winds blasted forward and the massive creatures within the immediate approximity of Kassava rapidly disintegrated into ash. The air in the entire area seemingly shifted and distorted like during an intense summer day, but the searing flames were only as strong as the immediate proximity. Little particles of bright yellow energy floated up like small fireflies all around Kassava's firey aura, her golden and red pupils trained on Demi-Fiend.

"You don't think I have power?! I'll show you-"

She suddenly threw down her fists, the aura flaring out along with her screams.

"POWER!!!"

With the shattering scream, Kassava shook violently as she continued the explosive surge of energy from her core. The entire ground rumbled like an earthquake and the air itself began to change. The vision of everything: Kassava, Demi-Fiend, the mountains, Cuki, and everything began to blur a drastically. Suddenly, from out of nowhere, a powerful pressure began to build in between Demi-Fiend and Kassava before suddenly forming a massive, red energy dragon. The dragon had already held intense, blinding speed from momentum that seemingly came from no where as it blasted past the two towards an unseen target. However, after a second, another identical copy of Demi-Fiend threateningly looming over Cuki suddenly materialized on the far end, both turning their attention to the massive dragon. The images of the fight occurring began to consistently form one after another, the literal history of the entire battle playing out in ghostly images that harmlessly phased through the real landscape and fighters.

However, the pressure of the images began to slowly grow as Kassava's continued screams echoed loudly. The images continued to play out harmlessly, but after a few moments, the energy dragons suddenly materialized into real, tangible power in blasting forward past the real Demi-Fiend. The air began to thicken as well, and the Demi-Fiend and Cuki behind began to slowly materialize as well.

Vegetto's arms flung up in defense, smashing through the planet's under Superman's extensive force with a grunt. Gaining a bit of momentum, Vegetto suddenly broke the downwards charge by flinging his arms up to knock Superman off cource. He suddenly latched onto Superman by the arm, grabbing on with both hands and slowly spinning in a circle to toss him away. However, before he could complete the swing, Vegetto's silver eyes suddenly widened from the gravity drastically pulling on him from below, and shot downwards towards the neutron star with Superman. He released his grip, choosing to brace himself and landing on the surface of the energy. He glanced around, his body physically straining to stay upright yet safely standing on the surface of the star without sustaining any damage.

He grimaced a bit, letting out a small grunt as his silver aura exploded outwards. The energy output came with Vegetto regaining control of his functions, clenching his fists together and looking around for Superman.

Whis floated downwards with the rest of the group until Cross cancelled the spells, floating to a halt and staring up. He narrowed his eyes slightly, studying the building development from Wordplay.

"Hmm, very well...I suppose I'll have to see if my strategy will work out."

He coughed into his hand, resuming his smile and holding up his open palm towards Wordplay.

"No."

“Ah… is that so?” Lambdadelta asked after Wordplay had said his piece. Her smile didn’t falter as she pondered his words. She had been sailing into the void with the pink sphere of energy in her hands, but thanks to Cross’s negation, she was able to regain her standing position. “I can sympathize with your goal of escapism juuust a little! But even so, we simply are not the same.” Lambdadelta sneered, betraying her easygoing tone. “Perhaps if I weren’t a being of abstract nature, I could understand your plight a bit better. The biggest difference is that unlike you, I’m not limited to a territory; Voyagers like Bern and I have no ties to anything, because we don't require a 'starting meaning' to achieve the ability to shift between formless and corporeal. Even if the Senate of Witches ceases to exist, I can remain on my free journey across the worlds at my leisure… nor am I limited to a territory like my metaphysical counterparts, so my laws are absolute; they manifest in every place my power touches.”

“We think; therefore, we are. Embodiments of abstract concepts have unlimited potential so long as we do not limit ourselves. Unfortunately, it seems like you are the opposite; you cannot hope to escape your fate. Heeheehee…” Bernkastel giggled. “Sorry, but the only person I really wish to toy with for all eternity is my one and only friend.” She stepped close to Lambda and gripped her hand as they exchanged gleeful expressions full of malice and contempt.

“We don’t just want to play games like these over and over…” Lambdadelta chuckled with a dark expression. "We have nothing to lose, but at the same time, we have everything to win. I'd really like to see those funny 'tools' Bern told me about, you know!"

“I intend to take this little chessboard of Doom’s and split it wide open. I’ll tear it apart, mock it, and then reassemble it however I choose after I suck the life out of it! There is no opponent who hasn't surrendered to me, and Doom won't be the last! Hehehe.... ehahahahahahahaaaah!” Bernkastel cackled with a twisted grin.

“Because we can sympathize with your misfortune, it will make this a very suitable end for you. Even though we aren’t tethered by anything, idle minds are the devil’s workshop.” Lambdadelta said, holding out her free arm. Bernkastel did the same with a sinister smile. “Knowing we are the ones throwing you back into despair, we won’t have to worry about letting our minds wander. Like I said, it really is unfortunate Doom put you up against us; especially two masters of probability. Perhaps if he pitted you up against the punch jockeys called Saiyans, you’d enjoy your infinite game a bit longer. We should’ve been a little nicer to you and just said no like Lord Whis, but since you’re very stubborn, we have no choice left...” She let go of the pink energy sphere as it concentrated itself between her and Bern. Still holding their hands together, they both spoke in unison.

“As the Witch of Miracles, I declare…”
“As the Witch of Certainty, I declare…”

“Wordplay certainly cannot win, and a miracle to escape his destiny of despair will never occur!"

"Only those who are willing to see things through to the very end will emerge as the victors, no matter the cost or circumstance! Those with weak wills serve no use!"

"Dread it… run from it… your fate absolutely cannot be changed! You shall instead join your fallen brethren in the most miserable Fragment there is!"

"Despair into tomorrow! despair into your memories!"

As they spoke their declarations with wicked expressions of gleeful contempt, their words began to materialize solidly in the void of space, one sentence after the other sailing right for Wordplay as a piercing collision. The pink energy combined with Bernkastel’s crystal shards between them to form a glittering mirror with a clear surface. Once their statements hit, a blinding light flashed from the mirror to completely engulf Wordplay but didn’t touch the Breakers standing behind the two Witches.

"D̬̗̠̟̼̮e̞̞̠̖s̗p̞͚̮̹̤̠̪a͔̥i̦͓̰r̞̼̼ ̞̮͍͕̫̳i̼n͎͍̖̠͖ͅto̱͓̭̖͎ ̣̭͈̳̹n̜o̹t͇̝͓̣̠h͖̳i̫̟̣̤͎n̳̝g͔n͕̳̗̳̫̝e͎̳͔̜͎ͅș͙s͖̬̗̲̟ͅ!̦͙͙͍̠̠̹”͉̦͓

For Wordplay, the bright light was gradually replaced with an endless darkness. The only things he could see were small emerald eyes that blinked in and out of view, along with the echoing pitter-patter of cat’s paws. He couldn’t see the Breakers or the vast expanse of space anymore; just the clear glowing mirror hovering in the darkness. Its surface alone was enough to peer deep into his subconscious… and it reflected the traumatic memories of all his fallen brethren back onto him as a form of psychic self-destruction. Watching the reflected terror dug up from the recesses of his mind materialize before him, the monster cats were laughing at his chamber of torment. The reality he was gambling everything on to run away from… had become undeniably concrete to his conscious mind.
====================

Waldo straightened up at the mention of Doom's motive of wanting to destroy everything. "Miss Lambdadelta said something like that to me when we had afternoon tea together... that beings who have grown tired of their immortality seek extreme thrills to overcome their overbearing sense of boredom. She even told me of a powerful being from her realm that has lived so long that she dies and resurrects herself because she becomes sick of living for too long. I can't remember the name because it's so long, but the name struck a bone-chilling fear within me. It makes me wonder if Doctor Doom is the same... nobody knows how long he's been here, right? As far as I can tell, the Breakers are all fairly recent newcomers to Reality Vortex."

He was cut off as the images began to distort. "Wh-what the?! What's going on now!? We'd better not stay in this room, or else we'll get trapped in with no way out if something happens!"

Cuki was flung back towards the mountains and crashed with a heavy force. Tons of rubble landed on top of her tiny body, almost burying her alive. She stayed perfectly still, feeling the wave of pain that consumed her body. Despite having transformed into a Super Saiyan like all the other Saiyans were capable of, she was still making no difference to Demi-Fiend. The rage she had earlier blinded her from the raw strength Demi-Fiend had over them. While she recklessly attacked Demi-Fiend, she barely had time to register all the damage she was taking in, and when she did, it was overwhelming. Her mind raced on about how she should defeat Demi-Fiend, but her body was no longer capable of meeting those requirements. The extreme power boost, the increase in speed and agility, the rapid adrenaline breakthrough meant nothing compared to Demi-Fiend.

Cuki's heart pounded against her chest, the effects of becoming a Super Saiyan still flowing through her body. She was still capable of more, but her spirit was faltering away. Her pride, her power, and her tail were all ripped from her in a single chain of events. It left the girl broken. Cuki attempted to lift the enormous boulders out of the way, but her will and might did not allow it. It wasn't that it was too heavy, it was because she was giving up. Trinkles of light slipped through the cracks of rock on to Cuki's face as she lay motionless under the debris. She gazed tiredly towards the small cracks of light, her expression empty of emotion. The way the fight continued, she knew that she and Kassava could not win.

It's all useless... Even with this power boost, I am not able to dent Demi-Fiend. Even if Kassava and I were to work together, our strength will not surpass Demi-Fiend. No matter what strategy I conjure up, it will only be in vain... Cuki stared silently at how the light flickered, no doubt Kassava's doing somehow. I can't think of a way out of this one... I just... can't.

You will not... fall here... A mysterious voice rang out to Cuki. This one was nothing like her master. It sounded far away and stuck in an echo. I picked you... to continue... legacy... By... ah... u...

"What?"

Rise... Ri... se... I will... le... nd... power... pro... tect... continue... My power...! The voice faded in and out of Cuki's mind, barely able to conjure the words it wanted to say. There was a pause before the voice faded away, chanting gibberish. You de... feat... Demi... if... m... e... bo... dy.......

Suddenly, there was a small pulse that expelled out of Cuki's body, blasting the rocks high into the sky. The force threw Cuki into the air against her will, just in time to witness Kassava's breakthrough in power. Still confused as to what just happened to her, she felt unknown energy faintly flowing through her. It was not her own nor was it the Super Saiyan boost. Her body was still weak and the pain still overwhelming as she noticed something strange going on with her skin. It slowly started to get paler. Her eyes widen at the odd shift in skin tone but decided to pay no mind to it, assuming it was part of the Super Saiyan transformation she acquired. She glanced over at Kassava's explosion of power and the shifts it made to the battle, or rather, the repetition. Cuki saw a clone of herself and widen her eyes in confusion.

"W-What the?! Another me?! But this one isn't a Super Saiyan! What is going on?!" Cuki failed to notice the Demi-Fiend forming behind her at first until the same energy from earlier forced Cuki to turn around and launch a palm of solid white energy towards the new Demi-Fiend. "Whoa! Hey!"

The force behind her palm was not her own energy, but something not of this world. Cuki gasped and tried to regain control of her body, forcing her palm to miss Demi-Fiend entirely. However, the power behind her palm seemed to visibly ripple the air before destroying the mountain range behind Demi-Fiend. It continued onward, destroying everything and anything that crossed its path, passing through the horizon. Cuki slowly backed away from the new Demi-Fiend, examining her hands as they grew paler. The lack of color started to gradually crawl from her hands slowly up her wrists until a solid black band formed over her wrist. The hands were moving on their own, barely resisting Cuki's control over them. Cuki stared behind Demi-Fiend at the damage her attack did; all that was left was a path of where the invisible energy traveled, erasing all in its wake. Cuki quivered at the amount of power she released knowing it wasn't her doing.

"W-What's going on..? What's happening?" Cuki said to herself. "Is this part of being a Super Saiyan?"

The young Saiyan shook her head, returning her focus back to the main battle at hand. Her body pulsed again, making the girl feel short of breath, however, she chose to ignore it as she launched the same fist towards the new Demi-Fiend(I'll refer to the new one as Demi-Fiend 2 from now on), ready to unleash that same energy directly on his face. Her other hand aimed itself directly to the old Demi-Fiend before launching an invisible force towards him, rippling the air as it did before. Demi-Fiend would feel an immense amount of pressure build upon him, almost as if he had something pushing him down into the ground. Whatever it was began to form a shape on the ground as it tried to crush Demi-Fiend, a star-like shape. The pressure dug into the ground, pushing Demi-Fiend lower and lower into the star-like crater.

2541486341_1_3.jpg

On the other side of the fight, Cuki 2 materialized thanks to Kassava's power. She looked about as confused as ever, wondering why there was a second Cuki and Demi-Fiend. She felt Kassava's power radiate across the field and tried to make sense of the situation she was brought in. She quickly felt the floor shake thanks to the original Cuki's attack on Demi-Fiend. She quickly dashed out of the way.

"W-What's going on?! What is Kassava doing?! What am I doing?!" Cuki 2 said frantically. "I-It's like... deja vu."

"Ah, so this is your true form? A formless being that takes control of the many objects around you... That is quite a unique ability." Zenta smiled. "It is certainly something that I praise you for, Air Dancer."

Zenta's smile quickly faded away when he heard the jet plane rush at him. He never heard such a noise before and didn't properly prepare himself for the force behind it. He gripped the nose of the plane, grunting as he dug his feet into the floor, the plane dragging him across the field. He gritted his teeth slightly, trying to push back the plane to a stop. His white aura surrounded his tails as he dug them into the ground, trying to give himself an extra boost in stopping the plane. He grunted slightly before digging his claws into the plane and pulled himself up on the nose. He ran on all fours on top of the plane as it passed by him. He was running blind, however, unable to see the very thing he stood on until he hit the tail of the jet, spinning out and landing on the floor on his side. He was quick to rush to his feet.

Air Dancer may be more vulnerable, but these machines are new to me. Perhaps living as a hermit was not my best idea.

Zenta took in a deep breath of air, rubbing his feet against the floor. It felt different for him, however, almost as if he was standing on top of some sort of tracks. He was unaware that he stood on top of train tracks, having little time to take in his surroundings before focusing all his attention to Air Dancer. He got into a familiar Tiger stance, awaiting Air Dancer's next move, however, he seemed to be hurt from his blunder with the plane, unable to take a grasp to what machine he was fighting.

"Energy that dances in the emptiness across time and space?"

"Think the Speedforce can mess with it?"
"No clue but-"

Both Remnants looked over to see the plane incoming for Zenta, getting ready.

"Momentum steal. Mom could do it."
"I never learned how."

"Then let's try using Stormruler."

Both of the Remnants sped off with one of the walls having collapsed. They turned the tables on Doom, turning an enclosed space to limit their speed into a weapon against the Air Dancer. Now though that had worked, it seemed that it was no longer necessary. So followed an opening of the playing field.

- - - - -

One Remnant sped off from their position, weaving his way through the remainder of the bullet storm, deflecting them with his sword and occasional blasts of blue aura to prevent them from hitting himself. He raced to the plane that Air Dancer was currently inhabiting and began to run around it, trying but having difficulty to establish a link between itself and him. In an ideal scenario, he would simply steal all of the moment that composed Air Dancer, rendering him an immobile statue or possibly worse. Unfortunately, Raune never learned how to do that. Instead, he cut across the plane with Stormruler, seeking to increase the destabilization of Air Dancer to prevent him from fully connecting into a new body and resulting in setting the battle back to phase one. However, Raune was also trying to disrupt Air Dancer's very core, utilizing Stormruler to try and siphon parts of Air Dancer's energy into the weapon, and the circle he was running with the Speedforce to pull away fractions of the same energy. Effectively, he was trying to tear the being apart.

- - - - -

The other Remnant suddenly appeared by Zenta, wielding Stormruler in a defensive position.

"I still need you in this fight Zenta. You're the key to handling Air Dancer. Especially since I killed him and it didn't put an end to this. If the next plan doesn't work... I might end up out of ideas." He stated, while making sure to get ready to defend Zenta.

- - - - -

The third, swordless Remnant was on the ground still, unable to even keep his eyes open as the chaos swirled around him, completely defenseless and open. But small amounts of lightning zapped between his fingers. Every so barely visible. But still there.

“Struck a nerve, huh?” Spina glanced at the upcoming energy blast to his direction. The ground splitting apart due to the wind pressure; debris flying in all directions; it engulfed his entire field of vision in the front. He raised his arms forward and caught it with his bare hands.

Upon contact, Spina felt the bones in his arms shattered; his feet sank within the soil; sparks crackles around him as bits of energy flung out of the energy ball. Standing firm in his position, a thought pop in his exhausted mind about his journey in this strange world.

My body is giving out. My mind is going blank and I’m on the verge of kicking the bucket.

Yet, Spina did not give in. He roared loudly as he positioned his hands to around the blast. His right hand shifted to the upper right side while his left shifted to the bottom left. He enclosed both his hands to condense the ball of absolute power—it began to fire off enormous amount of energy all over the place. He lowered his palms slightly to get his full view of Vegetto-Black; a gleeful smile was present on the mighty Saiyan.

“You are the real Vegetto? Let me give you one piece of information…” Spina suppressed the energy to the point that it was no longer a visible threat to him. “You lack the understanding of Saiyan power. You can go on and on about how pathetic mortals are… but Gods with unlimited power lack the understanding of what truly means of breaking limits. Especially for Saiyans such as I. You can break everything in your carnage, but you will never, ever break the Saiyan’s lust for battle!”

Spina roared—there was a visible change of his voice; deeper and raspier. His aura became denser, scorching around as it whip the ground in all directions. The Candy-Red fur on his body transition from to a darker hue, Merlot, becoming more defined in terms of length; and his tail increased in size that a single swing smashed the ground easily. Black hair became slightly longer and jagged than before along with his eyes went from red pupils to dove color, with the red highlights still enclosing it.

“You were right about one thing, poser. My power was weak. Far too weak.” Spina slowly held Vegetto-Black’s earlier attack in his right hand and tapping it once, splitting into twenty-four orbs. “But that’s the beauty of it… I can decide my power to increase, while you play shadow with something you will never understand. Shall I demonstrate it?” He bend his index finger downward, sending all 24 orbs to Vegetto-Black’s direction. It strike on each part of his body; head to throat, shoulders, to chest, to his arms and legs—until it embedded in his skin before bouncing off to push him back. They flung away from the battle and stay in their stationary position while Spina positioned himself to move.

Spina made a slight movement before appearing right in front of Vegetto-Black. His eyes locked onto the eyes of the madman who boast to destroy everyone; as if his eyes was seemingly predicating something. He cocked his right hand and launched it towards his jawline—the pressure of the launch completely obliterated everything behind him.

Unaware of Spina, there was a boiling level of energy that finally show itself—and despite the fear that sank deep within his spine, his greater fear was losing a power to a man who is nothing more than a man obsessed with mortals that he look down so much.

“Well, that’s new.” Demi-Fiend clenched his fists in preparation, but he realized the blurriness that occurred on his body and everyone else in this world. “Another time trick?” He looked around, seeing the images of history of their battles playing all over again. “Whoa, this is new… Man, is that how I looked like? I haven’t checked myself in the mirror for long time.” Demi-Fiend looked up towards at the raging Kassava that was pulsing with so much power. “Looks like you’re messing with time again… if I knock you out, then this should be over.”

Demi-Fiend cracks his neck. “Another god I’ll crush…” He narrowed his eyes when he sense yet another powerful amount of energy, but rather than being stationary, it was coming straight for him. He turned around, only to be hit by an invisible force of pressure. He was smashed through the ground so much that he was barely visible to the newly formed Cuki. “What the hell? These girls are suddenly gaining a ton of power now!” Demi-Fiend look to the right and smashed his hand to the side to prevent himself from falling even further downwards.

“Well, this is getting interesting.” Demi-Fiend clenched his hands, forming a blade of light. “Javelin Rain!” He send a massive spear of light towards the direction of Cuki to break away from her attack session.

---

Demi-Fiend-2 kicked the rubble upward in the air and stood up. “Ouch… that actually hurt. What the heck?” He looked around, trying to recall what happened. “Okay, I was about to attack Cuki, then suddenly I hit a mountain. Either I hit my head or that damn squirt actually pack quite a punch.” He looked up, sensing a tremendous amount of energy from Kassava. “Oh… what is going on...” He looked around, seeing ghostly images of the battle—some of the things he doesn’t recalled. “Hm. Yes. Time Magic… that feeling of déjà vu.” He noticed the ground shaking. “I’m sensing… myself? Have to check this out…” He dashed towards the area, seeing Cuki in the air and Kassava causing mayhem with her rage.

“Okay... pick one. Grandma or Cuki…? Fairly sure that’s the brat. I’ll just knock out both!” Demi-Fiend-2 jumped towards Cuki. “Deadly Fury!” He launched a powerful single black-like blade, that split into hundreds of them towards Cuki—from both at blistering speeds.

The Great White Whale went past the bottom of the sea, landing on his two feet to regain his composure. As his wounds recovered instantly, he lifted his head towards the air bubble above him. There were two options for the Great White Whale, defending himself or attack them as their guard lowered. Gambling his chance, he gripped onto his blade, bolting towards Brachi and Bara.

The pitch darkness is not an attempt to conceal his location—it a powerful attack that gives an illusion for his opponents to block their view, but the darkness is black ice forming around them. As the two warriors focused their attention elsewhere, cracks became visible throughout, become individual shards that bombarded them from all directions like an assortment of blades. The duration doesn’t last long—all of them came rushing in at once in a second. It does not pierce through them, but rather, slice tiny bits of their flesh upwards. As a result, water came rushing in as the ice melted right afterwards.

The Great White Whale seized the opportunity, raising his blade for another move. “Water Abyss: Liquid Shock!” However, upon calling his attack, his eyes narrowed at the voltage of electricity rushing and hitting him dead-on. The electrical shockwave spread throughout the ocean world—every single water molecule became energized with electricity. Although he managed to pull off his ability, causing the tiny bits of flesh to turn into ice, latching itself onto the Great White Whale’s body throughout to become a powerful set of armor to boost his defense—he was unable to regeneration; visible physical damages such as burn marks, is noticeable. The water that granted him near-immortality was unusable.

“Damnit…” The Great White Whale gripped onto his blade. His speech became slurred from the shock. He didn’t think these two would use it—now that they disabled his way of regenerating and figure out his weakness, he’s forced to use his trump card. “Water Abyss: Tsunami.” His tone changed for a darker one.

The Air Dancer, a small ball of black energy, has a special ability—the ability to attach to any object and give it life. His original body was specially made of properties that allows to conceal his actual energy, allowing him to go undetected by any energy users. If the Air Dancer, if time allows, attached onto an object, he can also manage to hide most of his massive energy from spilling out and revealing his location. Due to the devastating consequences of the Cross Beam that destroyed his armored body, the Air Dancer is forced to latch onto any object, but due to time restraints, he cannot stabilized fast enough to concealed himself properly, hence a pool of overflowing energy around the jet-plane.

The airplane was being sliced by the Stormruler, and the pool of energy pour out dramatically. Unable to stabilize its body, it became useless. Furthermore, it felt something was sucking away of its energy. “D-damnit!” The Air Dancer was forced to abandon the airplane as it split apart, crashing onto a wall on the other side, and went inside the wall still standing. Its fast momentum is now compromised due to Raune’s actions. The Air Dancer needs to think quickly before Raunes and Zenta take the advantage.

It jumped onto other objects to use, but because of Raune, its s energy was not efficient enough to handle large objects—just enough to charge it and ram it towards them until it can find a suitable, small enough body. It launched a gigantic train smashed through one side of the wall, rushing at Zenta. Another cruise ship burst through the ceiling to slammed onto the Raunes. A tank fired multiple bullets of energy at them—but none of them were strong enough to do any damage—just enough to offer some form of distraction.

The Air Dancer realized that the Cross-Beam attack took a toll more than it should have—realizing that a crack was appeared on its energy-like body, spilling out extra excess. Desperation fell into the Air Dancer’s mind as he search for anything on the other side of the walls, small enough to manage some form of stabilization quickly.

“There it is…” The Air Dancer saw something worth in value. It was a tough call, in fact, due to him pouring so much energy, making him an easy target for Raunes and Zenta, he had no choice. It was all or nothing as he went inside it.

“You’re not done, are you?” Superman appeared behind Vegetto. His chest, now exposed as his costume ripped into shreds, was pulsing with energy due to his reaction of the Neutron star. His body shine brightly with a blue hue illuminating from it. “I will not let you go down that easily. I’ll make sure of that.” Superman threw one punch so fast—to an outsider, it looked as if he hadn’t move from that spot—slamming onto Vegetto’s back, sending from flying away from the Neutron Star so hard, its gravitational pull wasn’t enough to pull him back.

The Neutron Star, as opposed to yellow stars, increased his strength and speed to unimaginable levels. Superman lifted his head to see the flying Vegetto being flow back. “Migatte no Goku'i… what an outstanding ability… he managed to counter all my attacks and no doubt, he could keep up with my speed….” Superman’s eyes narrowed followed by a gleeful smile. "It's making me very excited..." He crotch down, bolting upwards in such speeds, it caused the Neutron Star to collapse within itself—forming a black hole. Superman crossed distance between himself and Vegetto in a picosecond. The solar energy engulfing his body as the man of steel throws one punch after another in rapid succession, in one direction, then appearing behind him to the next, to test out the might of Migatte no Goku’i.

Wordplay narrowed his eyes when Cross negated his techniques, becoming visibly angry. “You think that will work!? I’ll just throw another! Boom!”

Yet nothing happened. Whis’ statement of the word, no, blocked his attacks. “Snap!” Wordplay shouted once more, but nothing happened. “Zap!” He uttered another word, but it failed all the same. No matter what sound bites he shouted, Whis had completely shut him down. A vein was budging on his temple.

“This isn’t fun! You are destroying the spirit of the game!” Wordplay’s blue eyes grew dark red in anger. “You folks know nothing! You all know nothing! I will become victorious! You will not incite boredom here! Rules are over! You can’t stop me anymore!”

When Bernkastel and Lambdadelta questioned him, Wordplay’s eyes widened in fear. Sweats dropped from his body like bullets. He looked around, seeing if he can toss anything at them, but the whole was nothing but a debris mess of destroyed planets and gasless stars. Soon after, he was pierced by their statement in a literal sense, causing him to lose his concentration. He turned around to face the wicked witches, until he saw a bright light, then leading to an eventual sea of darkness other than him and the mirror.

--------------------

He looked deeply into the mirror, until it reveal a small child with a blueish tee with pink stripes. “…. You?”

He heard screams; terrible, terrible screams. From all sides, the ocean of darkness became a sea of terrible memories of his fallen comrades, friends and his brother. All lay waste around him in a pool of their own demise as a single child step out of the mirror.

“You did all of that and you still wasn’t determined enough.”

Wordplay roar loudly, launching himself at the child, only to be piled up on by the fallen. He lifted his head, seeing of what he considers family, latching onto him.

“You abandoned us!” ||| “You left us to die!” ||| “Brother, why did you leave!?” ||| “You could have stop him! You could’ve saved us!”

He couldn’t keep up with any of the statement. He couldn’t understand what they were saying since all of them were shouting at once. This couldn’t be real. This can’t be real. But their touch, their skin, their rotten fleshes, their agonizing cries and their terror on their faces is real.

“You change your name?” The child shook his head. “No matter where you go, the trail of carnage will always follow.” The child see the torment in Wordplay’s eyes. “What’s wrong…? What was that thing you said to me… you’re having a tough time, right?”

Wordplay tried his best to move as the bodies kept piling increasingly. He lifted his head to stared at the child that stand before him. The child crouched down with a smirk on his face.

“You told me that I wasn’t good nor evil, I was simply doing this because I wanted too. …Aren’t you a bit hypocritical? Disappearing like that to show up in this world… simply because you could?” He stood up with a blunt object in hand. “Well, I guess we could all use a form of escapism, but in the end…” He raised the object in the air. His eyes filled with rage as it locked onto Wordplay’s eyes. “I’ll finally achieved completion.”

In multitude of sequences, Wordplay remembered the last moments before he disappeared from his world. A child came down and started to destroy everything in his path. No matter who, good nor evil, they were nothing more than punching bag for the child with a damned soul burning. He remembers that he has the power to prevent this by erasing the timeline from occurring, but no matter what he done—a child like him will always appear. He grew tired of deaths of his friends; he grew numb of their screams; he became “use” to this trend. He wanted to escape—something that would change for the better. If he wasn’t there—the game will forever be incomplete. As the sequence ends, he seen the object lunging at him.

No. This cannot continue. This cannot happen again. This. Cannot. Ever. Happen. Again. Wordplay’s red glow bright eye as the child beat him repeatedly over the head. “This game will never end.”

--------------------

To the perspective of the Breakers, it was like Wordplay was motionless, sitting on the meteorite. Suddenly, his head tilted a bit. His red eyes darted around like ping pong. “types like you, uh, very determined, huh?” Wordplay’s final words.

“bang.”

Wordplay’s body suddenly burst with a powerful explosion—so powerful, it was greater than the power of the Big Bang itself. It quickly engulfed the entire room—and since Wordplay declared the rules were over, they cannot use their abilities to negate this. This was a sheer force of pure endurance. His body burst up into flames as his mental mind is now destroyed. His skin peeled off, his clothes vaporized into nothingness as infinite amount of celestial bodies such as planets, stars, nebulas, black holes, etc. collided with the Breakers. It slammed onto them and upon touching, it activated another series of big bangs on their persons. It was inescapable—it cannot be prevented, negated or stopped; the only chance is to see test their endurance to can handled such destructive force of an attack.

The space became engulfed into the flames of the big bang, as Wordplay’s final, suicidal attack to bring them down. Wordplay’s head drop downward as his arms went limp; his body now a burning corpse with a broken mind, as the powerful, destructive explosion continue for several minutes, engulfing everything in a bright light of explosion into an endless void of celestial bodies crashing onto each other.

Detective Vegeta nodded. “You don’t need to tell me twice!” He lifted his hand up and pointed at a wall. “Big Bang Attack!” He shouted, hurling a powerful ball of energy at it—only for it to suddenly disappear upon contact. “What!?”

The images began to distort rapidly, showcasing a scene, presence in all of them, Doctor Doom appearing in a barren wasteland. The room began to warp dramatically, matching the location that was present in the photo where Doom appeared. They didn’t change locations—instead, it seems to be a memory file being play after the Detective and Waldo took the black orb from its spot.

“What is this…?” Detective looked around. It looks like Reality Vortex, but it was far emptier. There wasn’t much buildings nor cities. There was a Doom that was building a machine; at first Detective took a stance, but Doom is unaware of Waldo and Vegeta’s presence.

[“Damnit… how much time has passed? No signs of native life anywhere…” Doom muttered to himself. “Damn that Black Kaiser…” He tried to wrench a screw on the device.]

The new individual grinned, having seen the damage done to the Great White Whale and noticing it preparing for another attack. Raising one arm above her head, she began to power an energy sphere of her own, but this one was increasing in size and strength, until it was at least ten times her own size, before hurling this large sphere towards the Great White Whale, the force of the sphere began to push the water a bit apart in only that area, intending to stop the Great White Whale from launching his attack. But this was only to make a bit of extra room for her, as if this individual was planning for when the whale would still launch it.

Being a Goddess of Destruction, Gervene did have remarkable strength, but even she had to brace herself for the sudden incoming last attack by Wordplay, using her four arms to at least shield her face and chest, intending to make it through.

Cuki's hand gripped on to the spear of light but she felt a sudden jolt of pain swell up in her chest. She looked down only to see the spear stab right through the center of her chest, grabbing it just a second too late. She looked up towards Demi-Fiend, violently pulling out the spear from her body. Blood began to pool out of her mouth as she turned her hands to fists, ready to attack Demi-Fiend with her unknown power. As Cuki rushed to attack Demi-Fiend, she failed to realize the other Demi-Fiend attacked as well. Her body was yanked by the same mysterious energy in order to attempt to dodge the light blades but all Cuki saw was a red mist of blood.

Cuki, unable to dodge the attack, was impaled in every part of her body. The girl was unable to register what happened until she slowly looked down to see the many blades she was skewered with. Her eyes widen as she stared directly at Kassava, opening her mouth but not being able to say anything thanks to a blade piercing her throat. A moment later, her shoulders slumped and her body fell from the sky, entering freefall. This caught the attention of Cuki 2.

Cuki 2 quickly rushed over to the falling Cuki and grabbed her before she landed on the floor. She skidded to a stop and placed Cuki on the floor, her entire face full of panic and worry. She pulled the blades out of Cuki's vital spots and checked the wound on her chest. Cuki 2 ripped off Cuki's jacket and noticed a large hole right through her chest, large enough to stick her arm right through. Due to the rules of Reality Vortex, Cuki was unable to die, however, the situation caused the girl to essentially stop breathing and enter a comatose state. By this point, her Super Saiyan aura and hair disappeared, returning it back to black.

"K-Kassava!" Cuki 2 yelled. "Kassava! H-Help me! She's not breathing! Kassava, please!"

Deep within the confines of Cuki's head, she saw her clone screaming and yelling but couldn't hear a single word she was saying. Her eyes were still wide with the same expression she had earlier when she realized the extent the attack did on her. Soon, her body began to feel cold and her vision fading away as the last thing she saw was Cuki 2 yelling and shaking her body. Finally, her mind drifted away, leaving Cuki in a dark place where she had no control. She floated aimlessly in the abyss, staring up at pure darkness. She refused to struggle any longer.

So this is it, huh..? I failed Kassava... I failed the Breakers... I failed myself... It's all over now, so why continue to fight..? There is no point, not anymore... Why save the universe when I can't even remember mine..? Everyone has something they want to go back to, something to fight for... I have nothing. Nothing... So why should I even continue..? I barely even remember my master, so why return to him... Zenta, was it..? He would be better off helping the Breakers than I ever could...

Have you given up already? My, my, how anticlimactic...~

Cuki's eyes widen as she jolted up within the darkness in her mind. She looked around, trying to see if she could spot anything.

W-Who's there?

There was a small pause before a bright light shined from behind Cuki, completely engulfing the space she was in. The girl shielded her view from the blinding light until she opened her eyes again. Once she looked around, she noticed she was in a room made of entirely white walls, floor, and ornaments. There was a faint smell of mint in the air and the environment was pristine, almost as if nothing was touched by time or by any living creature. The only object in the room that wasn't solid white was a massive scroll depicting a beautiful white tiger with three other beasts by its side. Cuki stared ahead at the end of the room where a single throne resided.

It is about time we met, I have been eager to speak to you, Cuki...

A wisp of white smoke came out from behind Cuki, swirling around her body before trailing to the throne in the front of the room. The wisps started to take shape and materialize into a man with an extravagant looking kimono of primarily red, white, and black, long white hair, and icy blue eyes. His bare chest was exposed to show odd markings and symbols, none of which Cuki understood. He had a tail that flicked curiously and ears atop his head that twitched as his intimidating gaze locked on Cuki. Next to the man appeared a white tiger, pressing its head against the man's palm as it purred. The mysterious figure held out his free hand, curling his fingers as he urged Cuki to come forward.

"Come, I won't hurt you."

Hesitantly, Cuki obeyed, taking a cautious approach to the new figure.

"So... who are you?" Cuki asked.

"I am Byakko, it's a pleasure to meet you." The man held out his palm in front of Cuki, preventing her from speaking. "I know you have many questions, but time is of the essence." The man rose from his throne turning to the scroll behind him. "I have been watching and listening to all your adventures in this... Reality Vortex. It's quite an interesting realm, far different from the universe you are from. You can accomplish much in this realm."

"Well... Byakko, was it? How are you in my head? And why?"

"Well, when my siblings and I finish creating a new realm, we pick someone from the new universe to entrust our powers to. We pick a worthy person that we believe will be pure and virtuous. Simply put, you are my incarnation, Cuki. You are one of the Guardians of your universe. A reincarnated God." Byakko chuckled. "And so far, you are the most interesting person I've gifted life to."

"A... A God..? Me? No way... Kass is a God, not me." Cuki took a step back, trying to grasp the information. "I.. I can't be a god. I'm not stronger than Vegetto or Spina, I'm not faster than Raune, and I can't even get people to work together before everything starts to break apart. How... How can I be anything better?"

"True strength does not come from comparisons, but failure." The god held out his hand, his arm finally visible from the long sleeves of his kimono, shown to have black stripes. "But alas, I cannot explain everything here, Cuki, not yet. I am here to aid you in this battle against the Demi-Fiend."

"You'll lend me your power?"

"You already carry my power, you need to control it."

"How do I control it?"

"Now, that would be cheating, would it not?" Byakko laughed before turning to face Cuki and walked to her. "I am very curious to see how you handle such a massive amount of power. It might overwhelm you and you will never look the same again. You could go mad with power, are you sure you are willing to take such a risk, little Cuki? It would be easier for you to watch the battle with me, here in my room."

Cuki pondered the thought, remaining silent. She thought about Kassava and all the mean things she said to her during their first fight, how she completely ignored Cuki and belittled her. She clenched her hands into fists before shaking her head, thinking of all the moments she had with the other Breakers, even if they were hard to get along with. It wasn't right for her to leave Kassava all alone to fight Demi-Fiend, even if she didn't agree with everything she did or said. Cuki turned to Byakko, eyes full of determination.

"No way. I need to help Kass and the others. I still have to help them get home!"

Byakko grinned before snapping his fingers, lifting Cuki into the air, a white aura surrounded her body. Byakko's eyes widen with excitement, almost ecstasy. "That's it..! That's the will that drove me to you, Cuki! Continue this fight and show me how well you control your power..!" Byakko then shot his hand towards the door, flinging Cuki out as blazing speeds, the darkness once again swallowing her vision before consuming her body and mind. All Cuki could do was scream in the abyss.

You will return, but this time, on your own...

Cuki's body suddenly pulsed and the same white aura Byakko surrounded her with before started to consume Cuki in the physical world. There was an explosion of power from Cuki's body, easily flinging Cuki 2 into the distance. The world they were in changed color, siphoning back towards Cuki as a singularity point, faster and faster until all the colors visible to Kassava and Demi-Fiend were completely inverted until only the outline of their bodies remained. With one final explosion coming from Cuki's mangled body, all the color rushed back to the world and the fighters followed by a strong force and winds. The air felt very heavy and uneasy, almost as if the realm they were in shook.

The young Saiyan's body was soon coated by this mysterious white energy, appearing as an ooze that overtook her entirely. The holes in her body released steam as they closed, filling up with the raw energy that burned anything it touched. Cuki's body finally moved, jerking and contorting wildly as she let out a yell. Her body landed on the floor with a thud as Cuki gripped her head, pulling her hair at the uncontrollable energy possessing her. She arched her back while the white aura appeared to slowly solidify as it crawled up her body. Cuki grunted and squirmed as the energy burned away her ears and etched black markings all over her body. Cuki gasped for air as she struggled to control herself. Finally, she pushed herself on her knees and as sudden as her screaming started, it ended.

The white aura finally crawled up to her face, covering it entirely before sinking away to show eyes with no pupils, a covered mouth, and the same 4-point star symbol on her forehead. Her body began to glow as markings etched themselves on her body, starting as a bright light and ending as black stripes. Atop her head formed two large cat ears with tufts of fur inside them. Finally, a tail began to form from the bits of energy, materializing itself on to Cuki. With the same black markings following her ears and tails, Cuki's entire body lacked clothes but she was not in the nude, it was almost as if she was in a skin tight suit made of pure energy. Once her new transformation was complete, the air returned to normal but everything was mute with the exception of Kassava's yelling. It all felt as if the fighters were in a room instead of an open field.

Cuki's head dropped, her hair casting a shadow over her blank, unblinking eyes. She took a stance, this time on all fours, as she stared at the main Demi-Fiend. Her tail gently swayed behind her as she was heard emitting growls and snarls towards the boy. She let out a loud roar despite having no visible mouth. The scream was strong enough to cause a blink, or ripple, in reality, only shifting light as if lightning flashed in the area for a moment. Cuki did not wait for Demi-Fiend to attempt a move and rushed in.

Her newfound powers made her appear behind Demi-Fiend and claw at his back, sending him flying towards the sky, however, there appeared four claw-like tears in the reality before them. In each rip was a glimpse of the other fights going on in real time. Spina vs. Vegetto Black, Zenta and Raune vs. Air Dancer, Brachi and Bara vs. Moby Dick, and Superman vs. Vegetto. The others would not be aware or affected by these tears, however, the amount of power Cuki had managed to literally claw the dimension in front of her. After a few moments, the claw marks disappeared, returning everything back to normal. This was no longer the same Cuki that Kassava knew, this was something far different.

Zenta relaxed his body, allowing his ki to encase him in a somewhat protective barrier so to avoid another sudden attack from Air Dancer. His ears twitched upon hearing Raune.

"Thank you, Raune. I can see where the Air Dancer is going... but I cannot make out the machines he throws at us. Whatever that thing was... I could not see it entirely." Zenta kept a sharp pose, awaiting for the next move Air Dancer does. "I will aid you in any way I can, Raune."

As soon as Zenta finished his sentence, he heard the train Air Dancer rushed towards him. Once again, he was only able to see the small speck of energy within the train and not the train itself. He gathered his energy in the palm of his right hand, waiting for the possible moment the train connects with him. Zenta took a deep breath and carefully listened to the train getting closer and closer until he launched his palm out mere moments before the train collided with him. The train immediately stopped and began to show visible cracks on it, light escaping from those cracks until the entire train shattered into millions of pieces.

"It appears that the Air Dancer is throwing objects at us as a distraction. I believe he is in the walls... he is weak, you can slice him to bits with your blade."

"You got it Zen-" was all the Remnant that had been talking to Zenta got out before the train suddenly came in and was stopped by the martial artist. The Remnant quickly traversed around Zenta, trying to get to floating ball of energy only to miss it with his sword.

Not fast enough.

- - - - -

The Raune that had attacked the plane form of Air Dancer glanced up, watching in slow motion as the cruise ship was falling from the ceiling towards him.

Not fast enough.

Caught off guard, he sheathed his sword and caught the falling ship with his hands, straining under the immense weight and crying out in his distorted voice, before seeing the tank firing off more bullets at them all and in response, heaving the entire ship and simply throwing it to the tank. Too slow once again, the boat would be in the air only after said tank form was abandoned, but still taking out the energy shots with the boat. Meanwhile, the other Remnant was deflecting said energy shots while also blocking Zenta from them.

- - - - -

Both of the Remnants briefly caught sight of the Air Dancer rapidly putting himself into a new form behind a wall, and both ran off to try and stop him. The one that had been protecting Zenta ran across the section of the wall that Air Dancer was behind with Stormruler, using his super speed to phase the sword through and disrupt the molecules that composed the wall, priming them with kinetic energy in order to cause them to explode. The one that had dealt with the cruise ship instead surged forward with one fist, dashing forward into the wall and slamming his punch into it with tremendous strength. The first Remnant barely had the time to scream for the other to stop before both explosions occurred, rapidly decimating the entire expanse of wall.

Bernkastel and Lambdadelta simply remained where they stood; though, it wasn't like moving or trying to evade the cosmic eruption would make any difference since there were explosions inside the explosions.

"Waaaaah~" Lambdadelta drawled as she tanked hit after hit. It didn't matter if it was even too loud to hear anyone else's voice, but she decided to speak anyway. "I guess this was his parting shot. Maybe we went a little overkill on that one?" She said to nobody in particular.

"WHY ARE YOU ALWAYS SO CASUAL ABOUT THINGS LIKE THIS?!" Bern shouted at her with a volatile, distorted tone. It sounded like she was choking on something stuck in her vocal chords even though overall there wasn't any blood or bruising on her.

"I don't see the big deal you're making, Bern! We won, didn't we? This is just the same stuff from before, but annoyingly happening an infinite number of times. It's not like it actually hurts. Stop being a baby!" Lambdadelta scolded her like she would a child.

"You aren't the one who used a tremendous amount of energy to set up a trap that went completely to waste! If only I got to turn him into a pincushion when we had the chance--! Do you know how much effort it's taking me just to maintain a form after all that!" Bernkastel gritted her teeth as she held a defiant glare. Her knees buckled at one planetary body striking her from behind as she yelped, however, making the other witch soften up a bit.

"Geez, you're so helpless... but it'd be bad if you lost your form right now while this is all going on. Not like you'd die since this isn't like those erasing blasts. Just hold my hand and don't let go." Lambdadelta said calmly, holding up their hands with a small reassuring smile.

Bern gripped tight as she could, her long nails digging into Lambdadelta's glove. "Wh-what if I...?"

"Just let it happen. Worry about it later."

Once the dust settled, it was just Lambdadelta standing by herself, but she was covered in dust particles and her dress was very ragged-looking. Her beret was on her head only because she used her other hand to hold it down. Lambda briefly complained about how busted her dress was before dusting off the hem; she'd fix it up later. "Phew, at least that's over. It really was a bit fun for a while... maybe in a different set of circumstances we could have been friends. He had a nice sense of humor." The pink Witch noticed Bernkastel wasn't with her, causing her to look around with a blank stare.

"Bern? Where'd you go?"

She turned around; on the back of her dress was a small black cat hanging onto the train of her frilly getup by its claws. Tied to its tail was a lilac ribbon like the one Bern wore on hers. It climbed up her back before perching on her shoulder, looking at Lambda with deep purple eyes.

"I technically didn't let go. This is very embarrassing though..."

Lambdadelta smiled in return. "You did just fine. We're all still in one piece, right?" She called to the others besides Cross.

Waldo watched the scene play out before him, sweating nervously at the confusing sight.

"Is... is this a snapshot of the past? I feel like we shouldn't be watching this..." It made him wonder what the orb's properties really were and what purpose it served to someone like Doom. "And what the heck is a Black Kaiser?! This thing ought to be renamed to the Orb of Confusion." Waldo said, scratching his head questioningly.
