Outside of Reality Metropolis

Gogeta threw up his arms, pushing back against the advancing Spina in trying to force his blast from reaching him. He braced himself immediately upon the massive explosion that soon followed; the very force of the attack changing the entire scenery. Yet Gogeta managed to step back slightly; both Saiyans unharmed from his variation of the Stardust Breaker due to neither one being heroic and filled with negative energy. He glanced around with a perplexed stare, seemingly confused at the sight of being in another dimension and spoke despite no one being able to hear what he was saying, including himself.

"Uhh...what the?!"

He had little time to think; Spina launching into him with another viscous assault and sending him flying upwards in the air. His eyes were wide from the intense multitude of strikes that had followed from Spina's technique, his back jutting out while he shot forward into the air. The fusion quickly recovered; his tattered gi and scar ridden skin as well as his heavy panting indicating his exhaustion. Yet in the split moment of watching Spina surge forward, Gogeta's lips rose into a slight smirk. The older Saiyan had already tapped into his final reserves from his viewpoint; Gogeta sensing that the man was on his final stand.

Gogeta threw up his arms, the surge in confidence and pride spurring him on further in his instinct to raise his power. His muscles and body cried out in pain for him to stop, but his mind raced in seeing Spina's limits finally starting to take form. For the first time since they met, Gogeta could see the potential to finally overcome Spina. The gap was closing by the minute as Spina's life force waned, and in that realization that victory was close, Gogeta pushed his power to even further heights and his aura flaring out violently. His arms rapidly shot in multiple directions; at the beginning of Spina's charge, multiple blows had managed to get in and pummel into Gogeta. Yet now, as Gogeta's excitement and push for power took hold, the fusion rapidly threw out parry after parry, managing to block each strike that came his way.

"Hyaah!!"

Gogeta slapped Spina's arm to the side, leaving the older Saiyan open mid combo. The fusion twisted to the side, rapidly twirling in a graceful spin and unleashing a devastating roundhouse kick upwards into Spina's chin. He quickly corrected himself mid air, floating back towards the ground while Spina shot up from the force of his kick, and he suddenly threw out his right arm in a straight angle. A bright sphere of pink energy formed at the end of his palm, and despite no sound, he shouted at the top of his lungs because his attack has no power without stating the name of it.

"Big Bang Attack!!"

The large blast of energy shot straight upwards, heading towards Spina's path of flight in threatening to engulf him in another destructive power.

"Bage's right, we're best off saving what we got in case they come back. The small fry are only as smart as the person directing them. Your bird won't send them on a chase for too long if the chatterbox is half as smart as the one we fought back in Allire City." Berserk said to Avalon as they walked, though she gave a half-shrug. "They can't do any flashy stuff like out in the open down here at least. All else fails, maybe we can cave the tunnel in and escape for the exit once we cut them off."

The darkness of the tunnel and how silent it was bothered Berserk enough to put a damper on her usually cocky loudmouthed attitude. Her gaze moved down to Lucifer. "You seem to know a lot about the tunnels. Any idea where this one might lead us to? If we end up somewhere infested we might be..." The Powerpunk trailed off for a moment, but said it anyway. "Well, we'd be shit out of luck, wouldn't we?"

Bara and Jize nodded.

"We still have a bit of reserve left," Jize said to Bage, "we will only use it if it's absolutely necessary."

Bara was also concerned about Brachi whom was now sweating, clearly from having nearly exhausted her ki reserves and was running dangerously low; having just enough left to move, something which wouldn't be that much of an issue back in their normal world, if given the time to recuperate properly...

Reality Metropolis

Lilith slithered a bit after Bage states that she was alright.

“Thank you...” Lucifer said to Bage regarding Lilith’s safety. “These tunnels should’ve led to other cities, but the way it looks right now, I’m not quite confident to assume any safe route to go.” He opened his eyes slightly, seeing that the solar flare was not there anymore. “Hmm…” There was a city called Federation City. “It’s not safe since there’s a lot of people that tend to align with, uhh as you people called it, “evil” living in these parts. Though, I happen to know someone there… if we can make it, of course.” He paused for a second. “If we don’t make it, it’s great to survive this long, Breakers.” He joked.

Outside of Reality Metropolis

Spina tumbled backwards from Gogeta’s kick, recovery after being lunged towards the sky. Shaking his shake after being dazed, the old Saiyan’s eyes narrowed upon Gogeta taking a stance with his right hand in position to fire an attack. Letting out another scowl, Spina moved his right arm in position, paralleling towards his torso. A surge of purple energy formed on each of his fingertips before combining into a single ball of energy. “R-r-r-r-….”

His voice cracked at saying the name of his move. The voice was lost the moment it tried to move out of his lips as Gogeta launched the Big Bang Attack. As it hurled closer by each second, Spina’s eyes narrowed despite the utter condition he was in. “Rising Blast Extreme!” A move that required two hands to performed but forced to relied on one as he shouted as loud as he could. Quickly threw his right arm forward as a beam of purple energy erupted form his palm, colliding against the Big Bang Attack.

The collision between two powers was great—it sends out waves of energy across all direction, as multiple points around cackles with great electricity. As it happened initially, the sheer destructive prowess forces the scenery they were in suddenly to change. The beautiful landscape of flowers and the gigantic tree of light suddenly changed into a void of dead stars and destroyed planets. Then it changed into a completely black space with a single, young woman with bunny ears and holding a staff with her back turn; she turned her head slightly towards the two. Then it changed into a white space where a gigantic person with a blade that shine like an adamant diamond. The area they were in was changing through all of them back-to-back rapidly, but devoid of any color due to the solar flare that rages on slightly earlier. Then another silent explosion erupted from the collision and a bright light devoid of any colors other than white and gray engulfed everything around them.

The light had dispersed, Spina, being blown away from the collision, crashing through the ground on his back. After a moment, the old Saiyan started to laugh. He was covered in dirt; cracks were so apparent that his body was pulse with light to indicate an explosion at any moment’s notice. His body protest at moving anymore, but Spina forced himself to stand on his feet. “Hahaha… Hahahaha!!”

As his laughs continues, Spina’s eyes were devoid of any colors, a slight greyness was now apparent compared to the usual dove color. “That’s your answer…” He spoke. “That’s your answer… you’ll do anything to surpass me. You do anything. You discarded your friend, you disown your own master, and you even disown the one you call a brother for this sake. Just to get that fill...” He paused for a moment. “I started to realize… how foolish I was… for thinking nothing but fighting to satisfied my desires. I lay waste to so many lives and destroyed many companionships. And for what?” He stops to think about his own words for a bit. He realized that he never attempts to make any friends and rebuffed any attempts to go the extra mile to do such. Even proclaiming to protect Bernkastel wasn’t as heartfelt as he made it out to be—from where he stood, he was no better than the man standing before him. It did nothing but push his need to the extreme each time.

A silent pause before continuing as Spina raised his right arm upward as the rain continues to fall. “You’re walking in my path, a path of destruction. You wasted the will of everyone, the Breakers, and yourselves. There's no saving you. Only you can save yourself. I shall humbly accept my defeat. You’ve won.” A sudden of energy rapidly formed slightly above his palm—a star-like energy increased in size. “Rising Star… Mizu Atomic Star…Blade.” Grabbing the edge of the star, he’d placed to the right of him, giving the indication that he isn't going to go to him, instead, remain in place. With a smile as rain drops dripped across his body. “Let this be the moment we drawn our last breath for salvation or reap the awards we both seek. Fell deeds awake, through wrath, through ruin and now for the final dawn.”

"I wouldn't joke about stuff like that, Lucifer. Even if this tunnel leads to Federation City, it's better than being stuck here with the horde and that Elite-Xy'pher. Besides, I think this tunnel leads to the other side of Metropolis..." Avalon said in a low voice. The light coming from Bage's ki showed nothing but doubt on his face. "My paper bird managed to distract the Xy'phers, so we should be safe, even from the horde. I made sure that it flies in the opposite direction of where this tunnel is going, that way we shouldn't be cornered again. I... I'm sure of it."

As the Breakers traveled through the tunnels, everything was quiet and very peaceful. Small water drops were heard through the tunnels thanks to the rain as well as their footsteps. The group felt safe, at least for the time being. Above them, upon the surface, noises were heard but it was hard to tell what it was. It came and went but it didn't seem like anything serious. The tunnel was not very long but each step felt like they traveled a mile. They traveled for several minutes in complete silence before seeing a light at the end of the tunnel. The light was from the outside!

"Hey, is that light?" Avalon's eyes squinted but he soon cheered up upon seeing that they could finally escape the tunnel. "Heh, we did it guys! I knew this tunnel leads to the other side of the city!" He ran ahead of the others and exited the underpass. He disappeared into the light, it being slightly blinding to the others since they might have been used to the darkness of the tunnels. Several seconds passed and there was not a word from Avalon. The only thing the Breakers heard was the rain pouring outside followed by low rumbles of thunder.

Outside of Reality Metropolis

Gogeta floated down to the muddy floor, landing gracefully on his two feet. The poised move seemed to heavily contrast the man's state; his chest rising and falling with each heavy breath he pushed out from his body. His narrowed eyes followed Spina, remaining silent throughout Spina's proclamation and understanding of the fusion's state of affairs. His lips slowly rose into a smirk once he had finished and watch the older Saiyan form his next attack in his hand, his dual voice firm and nearly flat.

"I have saved myself. I am free of them...free of their control...and now all that's left-"

He crouched down slightly, his arms slowly bringing his hands together in front of his chest.

"-is to be free from you."

The fusion's fingers flexed outward slowly, his hands cradling the sudden emergence of a tiny, silver spark of energy. The little light ignited like a flame in his hand, the destructive energy slowly mounting to life. The pinkish silver gleam in Gogeta's eyes brightly illuminated in the movement; his smirk vanishing into a strong scowl. The power behind his form ignited forth from the clarity in his viewpoint; at long last, he had finally reached the moment he had strove for. With Spina's announcement of surrender, Gogeta had finally found the small peace he had yearned for in reclaiming what he had assumed was lost in defeat to the older Saiyan.

The silver energy rose dramatically, the ground cracking underneath Gogeta's feet.

"Kaaaaaa-"

Gogeta slowly drew his arms back to his side, twisting the growing sphere of energy in his cradle to build up the energy even higher. Fire erupted outwards off the attack, catching and igniting the splotches of mud nearby and the tiny flames remaining strong despite the downpour of water high above.

"Meeee-"

The sharp, ferocious stare of the fusion indicated his entire focus had pushed past disarming or stepping back from the unescapable moment at hand. His stare locked onto Spina's; unburdened by the weight of his pride, his arrogance, his bloodlust or even regret for a glorious fight that had now reached its end. All of his emotions; his struggles and plights had become one with the flame.

"Haaaa-"

An unyielding and ruthless, stern scowl showed the ominous stare of a warrior who held no mercy for his opponent, and would not stop until they were dead. Looking into the man's eyes would show little compassion or remorse; only the staggering force that was Gogeta's will. The destructive and dangerous energy rose even higher; Gogeta's eyes expanding out in a near enraged glare trained on Spina.

"M͟ẸE̤͡EE-"

Nearly every muscle in Gogeta's body suddenly expanded out, his dual voice roaring with passion and thunderous power to shatter the muddy earth cracking beneath his feet under the weight of his attack.

"HAAAA!!!!"

Gogeta's arms flung forward, the silver sphere of energy glowing brightly and igniting forth. The sphere itself cascaded forward like a flamethrower igniting the flames; the massive stream of silver energy blasting across the ground and vaporizing any of the mud and rain even within a few meters of the approaching blast. Gogeta rocketed backward on the ground, his firm stance planted on a small piece of earth that smashed through the crumbling ground beneath his boots while the immense stream of silver energy rapidly closed in on Spina.

"Avalon, wait! Stick together!" Bage called out to the relieved Breaker as he rushed forward and into the open. The detective then stretched out his arm in front of the others to stop them from venturing forward. "Avalon..? Avalon..!" He waited for any response from Avalon, only to be met with more rain and... thunder..? Thunder! Bage could feel a pit drop in his stomach as his mind speculated what could have happened to Avalon as he ran out. At that moment, Bage released his hold of the ki ball, causing it to disappear and conceal them all into the darkness with only the dim light of the tunnel opening lighting the way.

"Everyone stay put. I'm going to go out and get Avalon. I have a bad feeling... and I really hope I'm wrong." He stated firmly before handing off Lilith to Brachi. "If I don't come back right away... prepare for another fight. I don't think we have anywhere else to run..."

With a heavy exhale, Bage cautiously approached the tunnel opening and peeked out in hopes of finding Avalon... or whatever may have silenced him.

Berserk squinted to shield her eyes from the unnaturally bright light, since her arms were currently occupied. Patiently, she waited about a minute to hear back from Avalon.

"Hey! Are you there?!" She called out. "... where could he have gone? It's one-way only." She was expecting to have heard him give an all-clear but it was far too quiet. The Powerpunk wanted to step closer but Bage's order made her stop; glancing down towards Lucifer in one arm and Bern in the other, she had to stay put. "O-okay..." was all she could muster watching Bage disappear and leave them literally in the dark. Standing by Brachi only her red eyes were visible as they darted around, her anxiety starting to show as the utter silence became unsettling rather than relaxing. "Nowhere at all...?"

It was my idea we go down here in the first place... some braniac I am. Good going Berserk.

Brachi blinked at this as she stood beside Berserk while accepting Lilith from Bage, while Bara whom still carried Zenta as well as Jize stood behind her, with Brachi looking around cautiously, a bit unnerved by the sound of thunder and rain.

"Where did he go off to?" Bara asked.

"I have no idea," Brachi said, while holding Lilith close for the moment, "but we should keep our guard up nonetheless. If we happen to get in a fight, it would be most difficult... I'm already spent as it is; best thing I can do is use martial arts without the use of ki, but that would only get me so far..."

"How is everyone else doing?" Jize then turned to the others whom were with them in close proximity, turning to Berserk first.

Reality Metropolis

Lucifer’s eyes widened when Avalon rushed out towards the exit after proclaiming everything is safe and sound. Yet, there was nothing from Avalon after a minute, then came forth silence. “Ah, there’s goes Avalon. He was a funny thing. Naïve, but funny nevertheless.”

After Bage went after him, the angel chuckled a bit. “Who’s next? I wager Berserk to out there and see what happens. Maybe Avalon fell into a deep pond on his way out—or got electrocuted since he does use water attacks.” He joked about the state of Avalon. “But in all seriousness. This is quite unfortunate. Maybe this is the end for you, breakers… Anyone want to state out your will before you guys get turned into Vortex Coins for…” He tapped his forehead. “Next thousand years?”
