Brachi nodded as she got ready, with Bara and Jize standing by.

"Right. I'll see what I can do to also amplify it's effects myself this time, which hopefully makes it last just enough for it to even harm them even when they do look away." Brachi said.

"So you're also going to try something new at that too?" Jize asked.

Brachi nodded.

"I just need to get the right amount of energy to at least double it myself, and then getting the extra boost from Avalon. It should be enough for an increased effect, that way we can make it into the tunnels before they can recover." Brachi replied.

Jize nodded.

"Very well. Bara, help me with generating the barrier to at least make it strong enough to hold the line," the Supreme Kai said, with Bara nodding with a serious expression on her face, stretching her head tentacle out to help in carrying Zenta to free up at least one hand for this, "Bage, Berserk, get ready to enter the tunnels the moment we set this barrier up right away! This is of the utmost importance."

Jize and Bara then stretched out their hands and generated a combined barrier around the group, pushing on it together to expand it outward and also making it bigger in the process. And since it were two people doing it, the combined effort would make the barrier strong enough to last for as long as possible.

"This may end up using most of whatever energy I have left at this time, given my cybernetic parts... but it's them or us now." Brachi said as she got ready, planting the sides of her index and middle fingers against her forehead, ready for Avalon's part.

Outside of Reality Metropolis

Gogeta gasped just as Spina slammed his head into his stomach, prompting the fusion to hack out spit in a pained shocked expression. He blasted back, barely getting his bearings in time when Spina appeared behind him. He tried to throw his right elbow back in a dazed effort, but his body shot forward from Spina's knee striking his back first, propelling forward. Under Spina's grip, Gogeta hacked in pain as he slammed into the ground of the scorched earth left in the wake of his Stardust Fall, sliding to a halt once Spina lept back and prepared his next attack.

In a dazed stupor, Gogeta managed to rise to his feet, shaking his head like a wet dog to send mud out in every direction. His silver eyes shot open wide in seeing Spina's massive energy and water beam head his way from his side, and quickly broke out into a sprint. The fusion grimaced as he threw out his arms in opposite directions while he ran, two spheres of bright pinkish silver energy forming at the ends of his palms. Once the massive beam had come close to striking him, Gogeta suddenly vaulted high into the air, letting out a grunt in his struggle to push his body beyond its limits and flipping gracefully up and over Spina's position on the ground.

The mud caked his boots as he landed on the ground behind Spina, and in an instant, Gogeta hurled both sphere of energy with a thunderous roar at the older Saiyan's back. The two explosions erupted outward in a devastating cloud of smoke while the ground rumbled in their wake. Gogeta used the brief pause after the explosions to catch his breath a bit, his vest and sash whipping around in the air as he pulled his left arm up behind him with a raised palm to the sky. Bright ribbons of rainbow flowed up from his arm, circling around his wrist and spiralling up into making a small sphere of the glittering energy.

Gogeta's narrowed eyes widened to the brim, the same attack he used on Ultraman complete in formation albeit lacking a massive chunk of power in comparison to the original version.

"Hero Punisher!!"

Gogeta launched his arm forward, hurling the sphere of rainbow energy at Spina like a baseball pitcher. The small orb shot through the air and rapidly closed in on the smoke cloud that hid Spina inside.

Avalon waited for the right moment, allowing the barrier to get wet from the rain as much as it would. The swarm would get closer and closer as Avalon prepared himself for the risky play. With rapid hand motions, he placed his hands on the barrier. The water that was on top of the barrier would begin to shimmer and shine, almost like glass. It was purely aesthetics, however, since it did nothing to enhance its strength. The water on top of the barrier became extremely reflective, shining every last bit of light. With the help of Brachi and her friends, they created a reflective surface that would enhance Brachi's Solar Flare. Once Eleki was close enough with the horde, Avalon shouted to Brachi.

"Now! Use it now!"

As Avalon shouted, he quickly flew towards Berserk and Bage. As he got closer to them, he hopped off the paper avian and unrolled his scroll to turn it into a glider. He glided down towards the entrance of one of the tunnels where he had a rough landing and waved towards Berserk and Bage. The little energy Lilith gave him was already gone in the final move he used, making him practically unable to do more moves or techniques.

At least that should stall more of them... If Zenta was right, then these tunnels should lead us out of the city... Let's just hope this is the right one!

"Berserk, Detective Bage!" Avalon shouted as he frantically waved his arm and pointed at the tunnel. "Over here! Hurry and don't look back! We're takin' this one outta here!"

Brachi nodded.

"Close your eyes, my friends." She said as she got ready.

Both Bara and Jize themselves got ready, managing to maintain the barrier enough as Brachi then unleashed her new attack.

"SOLAR FLARE TIMES TWO!" Brachi shouted.

The moment she said that, there was a sudden fiercer blinding light which emanated from the barrier, which amplified the effect of Brachi's Solar Flare even further thanks to the rain having made the barrier wet. Once Brachi was free to move after finishing the attack, she, Bara and Jize then moved after Avalon and the others, with Brachi using bursts of energy to push herself in the direction of the tunnels and where Avalon was, using the momentum and all to let herself glide towards their position and in the tunnels, while at the same time motioning and waving for the others to follow them.

"Thanks for the suggestion, Avalon." Brachi said, smiling at him, while Bara had moved her headtentacle back to its normal shape, carrying Zenta now normally again.

Berserk gave Brachi and Avalon a nod, readying herself for the next flare. Just after Brachi warned them to close their eyes, Berserk locked eyes on the tunnel Avalon gestured from.

"Roger that!" Closing her eyes, the Powerpunk headed straight for the tunnel, ignoring that the speed she traveled could make her feel like the rain was pelting down on her. She didn't stop until she felt the brightness on her eyelids gradually become replaced by the sensation of darkness, sticking her legs out to skid to a stop. "Whew-- talk about fast n' furious... damn it's dark around here." Berserk's eyes didn't adjust much but she slowed the speed of her glide to account for any potential turns on the way to an exit. "We can't stop just yet, but I'll put you both down once we get to some daylight." She said to Lucifer.

"Right!" Bage nodded, bringing a hand to Lilith to secure her in place as he picked up the pace toward the tunnel after Avalon. He kept his eyes on the others until the tunnel roof was blocking hom from the rain.

"Nice work Avalon, I don't think they'll be able to see for a while." The detective sighed in relief, looking back at the small light in the darkness as it slowly began to fade away. "Don't stop for anything! Brachi and the others should catch up soon enough."

Bage soon found himself in thought, worrying about Spina and the other detectives. Even the officers and the boy they rescued... It all happened so quickly. He felt bad that he wasn't able to do more for them. All he could do now was hope they would somehow escape with their lives like they did just now.

Brachi, Bara and Jize were gradually catching up to the others, with Bara still carrying Zenta along the way.

"I hope this is enough... I don't think I can do another one for a while until I've got some energy back." Brachi said.

"You did what you could, Brachi," Jize said, "we should capitalize on this opportunity while we have the chance."

"Right. Hopefully we can find a way out of this mess." Brachi responded in kind.

Reality Metropolis

“Don’t worry about me.” Lucifer kept his eyes shut as he responds to Berserk. The second round of Solar Flare did a number on his eyes and refused to open them until he is sure that they would not use the move again, and at least in total darkness. “Avalon and Brachi are done… their energies are practically depleted.” He tried to sense the Xy’phers but due to the lights hurting his eyes, he could not entirely focus. “Where’s Lilith? Is she safe?”

Outside of Reality Metropolis

Spina was still in the process of unleashing his water beam, ripping through everything in sight, including any Xy’phers in his trajectory path. As wave of both fire and water twirl together in an explosion in front of him, allowing Gogeta to jumped over Spina and land behind him. The old Saiyan turned his head slightly at the sight of duo energy spheres hurling at him, unable to move out of the way in time.

The brilliance of explosion shine like a diamond, yet, within the beauty came ugliness. The image of the struggling Spina was well presented amidst of the explosion. “Guuuuhaaah!!!” Spina screamed as he was being engulfed by the blasts, and an outward cloud of smoke swelled around him. His cracks became much more apparent pieces of his body were flaking off from the enormous damage left from the blast.

As Gogeta took a breather, Spina did the same. His boots were practically shredded, leaving his feet exposed digging through the mud in between his toes. Even though it was just a second, perhaps less than that, the old Saiyan’s body was trembling due to overusing his life energy. Yet, the thrill of the battle keeps him at bay despite the fleeing energy from his body. Slight cackles of electricity appeared around him as an outpour of rain continued to shower down on the area but did little to washed out all the raging fire and the dust clouds that accumulated from their battle thus far.

The rainbow sphere of energy entered the cloud of smoke and now in proximity towards the Saiyan, Spina’s eyes narrowed to the brim. Using more energy, Spina shot up his right arm, balling his hand into a fist to slammed against the Stardust Breaker. “Flowing Strike – Waterslide”. The aura from Stardust Breaker left a spiral of colors around the Saiyan, parting away all the smoke. Upon looking at Spina, he let out a genuine smile before immediately letting out a ferocious scowl, Spina dashed across the muddy field instantaneously before Gogeta’s attack exploded. In less than a second, Spina was in front of Gogeta—mere inches from his face—as the old Saiyan connect the Stardust Breaker against the latter’s chest.

The colliding forces of energy was overwhelming until it swells up rapidly. It burst into a bright light, surging around the two, then a silent explosion erupted immediately afterwards. As the light disperse just as quickly as it came about, both Spina and Gogeta found themselves in a new, grassy terrain. The scenery was impeccable and hard to describe, as a sea of rainbow flowers was presented across all directions, with towering trees in the distance and small light orbs falling around them. As they were in the air, no longer touching the ground, they were next to a tree that was massive in both height and length. In terms of size between the Saiyans and the tree, the formers were practically like ants by comparison. Yet, there weren’t in an entirely different area—the sounds of applause and cheering from the Xy’phers was still heard, and there was a slight mixture from this world and the Reality Vortex.

Not waver by the sudden scene of scenery, Spina let out a cry—this time, his voice cracked from shouting. Instead of a roar that showcase his intend for battle, instead, it was a roar that showcase a man on the verge of death—and show no intention of stopping. His aura flourished around him as it sends massive winds to all direction. Yet, it did little to the flowers nor the trees—no matter how powerful their attacks, it had no effect on the environment around them. The old Saiyan went straight for the uppercut against Gogeta’s stomach. His right hand digging into his flesh as he held the fusion above his head. Releasing his right hand, he followed up with another attack with his left. “Rising Star: Pressure Fist!” He shouted, slamming his fist against the fusion's stomach once again. Although it was a single lunge of his fist, it unleashed multiple blow against his body, launching him high in the air. As his energized left arm disappeared afterwards, Spina followed the fusion, unleashing savage blows to force him in a close combat.

As the Solar Flare shined on the reflective surface Avalon made, the effect shined so bright that it practically illuminated the whole city. The horde of Xy'phers chasing them would all scream and screech in pain as the sheer brightness of the 'mirror' shield caught them all off guard, even Eleki. This time, nearly the whole horde was affected and slowed down from the blinding effects.

As the group ran into the exposed tunnel and hid in its darkness, Avalon looked back at his bird and nodded to it before rushing away from the Breakers. Once the effect of the blindness wore off from the weaker Xy'phers, after a few minutes, the bird would fly in the other direction, hopefully leading the horde away from the Breakers and giving them more time to run. The Xy'phers chased the bird away from the tunnel, assuming that Avalon was still on it. Eleki rubbed his eyes, the second Solar Flare bugging him more than the first one. As he was about to give chase, he paused, staring intently at the bird. While it was too far for him to see if Avalon was on it or not, he could not notice the other Breakers ahead. It was as if they completely disappeared. While he allowed the smaller Xy'phers to chase the avian, he looked around with a few Xy'phers following him.

"Where'd they go..? It's like they vanished. No way that light move blinded us that long. Somethin's fishy..." He tapped a marble finger on his chin. "Hmm..."

As Eleki walked about, he was careful to check every corner and alley, firing lightning as warning shots. When nothing happened, he grunted and bit his lip. Finally, his vision turned to the tunnel, and noticed something a bit odd. There was a trail of water leading inside when it was practically dry everywhere else. He stood by the entrance and looked back to the last position the Breakers were. His eyes widen.

"I see now... Clever! By blindin' us with that move, you used it as a chance to perform a distraction. Not bad, Breakers! Not bad..." The Elite said to himself as he smiled. He turned to one of the Xy'phers following him and gave it an order in their native language before watching it scurry after the massive horde. He then turned back to the tunnel and began to walk inside it alone, in no rush to catch up to the Breakers. "But not good enough..."

I ain't as dumb as the rest of 'em. If you thought I was then you got another thing comin'...

Inside the tunnel was pitch black with no hint of light. With the roar of thunder drowned out by the tunnels, it was extremely quiet as well, almost serene-like. Their footsteps would echo through the underpass before fading away. Avalon was completely unable to see in such darkness so he decided to stick close to Berserk.

"My bird flew off to distract the horde... I'm pretty sure this tunnel leads to the edge of the city. We should be safe there..." Avalon sounded confident enough but there appeared to be a hint of doubt in his voice. "I think even that Elite-Xy'pher fell for the trick as well, so we should be safe..." He tried to take his mind off it. "Hey Berserk, can you see in the dark? I'm completely blind and can't see a thing. Detective Bage, got a flashlight we can use?"

When the Solar Flare lit up the city, it completely saturated everything. The entire city, for a few minutes, was completely black and white. No color, no hues, just monochrome. Spina and Gogeta would either be one with the shadows or stand out in the white spots. Their attacks had no color and just like before, the area they fought in seemed to be devoid of noise. The rain that fell on them was black and the entire scene almost looked like a muted black and white movie. (Again, this is just to set a tone and will not affect the fight in any way)

"Don't worry, Lilith is with me." Bage informed Lucifer quietly, the pitch black atmosphere causing him to use a more calmed tone. He landed and turned to Avalon at his request for a flashlight. "No flashlight, but I can provide some ki to light the way."

The detective made sure to use as little of his energy while also lighting enough of the tunnel for he and the others to see.

"That should be enough for right now. Bara and Jize, if you still have some ki left, don't use it. If I need to tap out I'll let you know. We can conserve the energy Lilith provided us better. All of you keep your guard up. Even if it did fool them, there are still millions. A few could be lurking around and we wouldn't even know."
