The Reality Vortex: New Roads

Gogeta grimaced, laying behind the group and the shield protecting them from the devastating explosion before them. He ducked his head down, barely any strength left to hold onto the floor.

The Saiyan princess was thrown back rapidly by the explosion of the crystals, taking her a few seconds to regain her footing. To which at this point, she had just noticed being caught by Spina.

At the massive eruption from the Vally of crystals, Panich unshielded her eyes to see if Hart had managed to escape. She sighed heavily and settled into the silence of the barren battlefield.

The destructive power of the Black Crystals lasts for several minutes, and the impact the few had left showcased the absurd consequences it can have on the world. Right before their eyes, the dark clouds, expanded greatly from the explosion, spun around in a circular motion. Dozens of tornadoes formed and landed on the ground. It spun around but did not move from its position—it remained stationary. Thunderous booms and powerful black lightning strikes increased, continuing zapping the ground. Black Mountains grew as large as the tallest of buildings—even from the distance between the Breakers and the Valley of Black Crystals, the sense of dread can be felt. The Dark Energy remained singular in this Valley as it should be and did not spread across the city—the area where Hart fell became a crater of black soil.

The combined powerful between Lucifer and Cross protected the Breakers from the explosion, but once everything ended, it quickly fall apart. “Phew… that was more than enough…” Lucifer said. “I say, good show Breakers.”

Spina stood up, staring at Lucifer with a confused look on his face. “Uh, yeah…?” The old Saiyan turned to the direction of where Hart crashed. “I can’t sense her energy anymore. It’s a done deal—” His eyes narrowed when a figure emerging from the smokes that total the land near the Valley. “She’d somehow managed to survive that?” He clenched his fists.

Emerging from the clouds, a man with golden hue around his body walked as he held Hart in his arms. He had a V shaped imprinted on his chest. His left eye closed with a noticeable scare going across; his hair was spike and messy; and have giant scars riddled on his back. Hart was protected in a strange veil that save her from the wrath of the Black Crystals—but her battle wounds is noticeable. She lost all her hair and pieces of flesh were missing from her body.

Raising a brow, Spina maintain his battle stance as the man approached him—Hart was still around despite all of that. Yet, the man carrying Hart walked past all the Breakers—with no indication of inciting a battle. No malicious aura, but a steady calm one instead. He look ahead, until he gave Bernkastel and Gogeta a scorn look, before continuing walking. After enough distance between himself, and the Breakers. He stopped for a second, adjusting his arms around so Hart can be comfortable. “Rest easy. You don’t need to do this anymore.” The man said. He turned his head slightly to the Breakers. “You’ll never see us again.” The man blasted off with Hart in high speeds, disappearing quickly.

“….Who the hell was that?” Spina said.

Gogeta remained still on the floor, his eyes narrowing at the sight of the familiar man that approached with Hart in his arms. He panted lightly, a small smirk forming the second the man's scornful gaze landed on him. The fusion didn't speak a word, yet in the very brief exchange, Gogeta winked with his right eye at Ultraman.

He groaned a bit in pain, flipping around off his stomach and propping himself up by his arms, his delight clear in his dual voice.

"Heh...a worthy fighter. That's who he is."

"My, my, is it finally over?" Zenta said, lowering his tails that shielded Bernkastel and Cuki. He gently moved his arm back to pluck Bernkastel off his back and place her on the floor next to him where he towered over her. "It appears that you made new friends and enemies in my time away, Bernkastel. I certainly hope things have not changed drastically."

Cross says "I don't think that fool is really relevant to our group as now. I trust we have issues that should be resolved before we go on. That before what I suspect dealing with that thing(referring to the Overseer)"

"If only you knew the half of it," Came Bernkastel's answer, sounding groggy and only half-awake. She had passed in and out of consciousness throughout the duration of the Breakers hiding behind the shield. The total exhaustion was evident on her face in addition to how she was too tired to even move. "A lot has changed but maybe it was for the better. Even if none willed for things to turn out this way."

"I guess there's no word other than 'friend' to describe it. There is no logical thought I can come up with for being at peace over the choice I made... I cannot say how things would have turned out if Lucifer didn't rescue me in time. Throwing off planned attacks usually isn't my go-to strategy, you'll have to forgive me."

Bernkastel tried to stand up from her spot on the ground before Zenta, but merely moving caused her form ripple, dissolving away like seafoam leaving only a small black cat. The attack she performed used up so much energy she was unable to maintain a human appearance. Her tail curled around her legs sheepishly, feeling like she wasn't allowed to use the word 'friend'. Her body simply moved on its own, and her mind went along with it; she was unable to understand that her irrational decisions were driven by things that logical thought couldn't place into reason.

"Hmm, I suppose that word alone is its own special magic. It can put even the cruelest witch under a spell~" She looked over at Gogeta with a neutral stare before sticking out her tongue playfully with a purring sound.

Maybe that's why she was always a bigger fan of happy endings.

"But now, I'm unsure what to do next now that this is no longer a Valley, but a mountain. I am uneasy about what else could have been changed by the explosion..."

Powering down to base form, Brachi sighed, having seen the mysterious man leave with Hart.

"Well, at least this is all over and done with for now. I can use a bit of rest." She said, crossing her arms.

Cross asks "Do you think your place is recovered or shooed we use one mine Cuki?"

(No one expected a post at 5 AM!)

Zenta stared at Bernkastel as she spoke until she transformed into a cat. He gasped as he peered down at the smaller energy form of Bernkastel, completely unfamiliar with her new form. He seemed intrigued by her cat-form and fiddled his hands in an attempt to grab her. Since he has no idea what a cat is, he obviously had no idea how to pick up a feline, let alone handle one. He was still gentle in his approach, letting his fingers feel on the feline as a typical blind person would. When he picked her up, he hoisted her up by her underarms, similar to that of a child.

"Oh my! I have never felt anything so small and fluffy... What form is this? It almost reminds me of Cuki."

Cuki was slowly stirring up from her unconscious state, grumbling while she did so. She rubbed the side of her head and pushed herself so she can sit up and finally gaze at the others. Her vision was still groggy but she was able to tell everyone apart. She easily noticed Zenta playing with Bernkastel's cat form. She said nothing at first and slowly rose to her feet. Her face still showed the horrible lack of sleep as well as the immense stress the girl had to harbor. She was quiet as she watched her Master. Was she speechless about his return or still on the buzz of the battle?

"Ehh... Let's just go to your place..." Cuki said softly to answer Cross's question. “I just want to rest...”
