The man stopped, catching his  breath, to see a large monster laid dead on the floor.

"My god.." the man uttered.

"And this is?" Silence said, catching up with him.

"The Guardian.. he's been slaughtered. It.. it can't be.." the man's voice was about to crack.

"Oh my..." Faunix said while looking at the remains of the guardian. "I guess this whole temple is under a far greater threat. We must find Master Shine quickly before he gets caught up in this mess..."

Lix looked at the remains of the monster and tilted his head at the scene. He didn't look at all phased at the situation. He only wondered who was strong enough to easily take down the guardian that was suppose to guard the place.

"I can hear things nearby..." Lix said while continuing to move.

Black Shadow became alerted when Lix said there he heard things. On guard, Black Shadow followed behind Lix. She felt a bit of sadness of the man. Perhaps the Guardian was his friend? She turned around, still seeing the man in the same position.

"Whoever did this.." Black Shadow said.

"Does not matter..." Silence said. "It's no concern to us. Leave the emotions after the fact. There seems to be high levels of energy coming from the door..?" Silence pointed towards a large door. It contains three beings, each of them have a singular eye, observing a giant "sphere".

Faunix looked at the doors and stood before them and sighed. He knew what was behind that door in a sense but he remained quiet for the most part. Lix, on the other hand, stared at the door but didn't move an inch from there. He didn't want to burst the doors open out of respect.

"So... behind those doors, we find our main culprit." Faunix said with a small smirk. "Now then, shall we proceed and end this madness? I bet Shine is waiting for us."

Black Shadow cleared her throat and nodded.

"Let's get a move on, we don't have all day." Silence said.

Lix took Black Shadow's cue as his excuse to punch the door wide open and expose whatever or whoever was hiding inside. His ears twitched, the noise obviously leading him this way. Faunix shook his head in disbelief at Lix's rash way of opening doors.

"Damnit Lix..."

As the door was forced opened, it reveal the room was filled with riches. Diamonds, rubies, gold coins—from every corner—filled the room. In the dead center, was a chamber with a man standing before them. There was a beaming of green light shooting upwards to the ceiling. The man turned around, to see what had transpired.

“Hmm? Oh, Faunix and Black Shaodw..? What are you doing here?” The man revealed himself to be none other than Shine himself.

Black Shadow narrowed her eyes. "Shine! You're al-" Black Shadow was about to rushed in, only to be stopped by Silence. "Hey, what are you doing?"

"You don't sense it? There's something wrong here..." Silence said.

Faunix glared at Shine knowing that something was wrong. He remained silent for the most part and tried to pin point what was up with Shine. He felt a corrupted aura around Shine and he bit his lip, unable to see who or what was controlling him.

"Shine... what are you doing here? The Brotherhood needs you." Faunix said with a hint of worry.

Lix slithered close to Shine and looked down at the man, casting his shadow over him. He didn't say anything and he didn't attempt to move an inch unless Shine pushed him that far. He knew all about Shine and he would never openly hurt the man, unlike Z.

"Huh? I was just doing my personal study, that's all. What's up? Don't tell me Z managed to screw up in my leave of absences right?" Shine chuckled. He look towards Lix.

"Mind taking a few steps back? You have a serious demeanor coming off of you from what I tell. Is something wrong?" Shine asked with a smile on his face.

"Master Shine." Black Shadow was having doubts of the wording of Silence and Faunix. "Please returned to the brotherhood. Things have gone quite crazy in your absences." Black Shadow moved away from Silence and moved closer to Shine.

"I do not have feet." Lix said to Shine. "I cannot step back."

Faunix fidgeted under the pressure of assuming Shine was corrupted or not but he took a couple steps forward, keeping a distance from Shine. His stomach turned at what his horns picked up from Shine.

"Well Lord Z didn't screw up...too much." Faunix nervously laughed. "She's... just sleeping on the job, as usual."
