As Vala and the others came out from the nuns' hidden room, they were met with Lord Belmont.
"You sure you don't want to come with? I kind of feel bad knowing we'll probably fight your gramps." Vala said.
"I'm sure-- there's no way I could stand a chance against Grandpa Simon. I'd only get in the way." Lord Belmont bowed to them gratefully. "Instead, I'll be looking after everyone here. Please return safely."
"You just worry about yourselves." Vala replied.
Vala, Excalik, Gorecilia, and the two sisters exited the sanctuary of the Church, departing directly for Belmont Manor once more.
However, the atmosphere changed drastically from earlier; the sky was blanketed by thick, unnaturally dark storm clouds that did not release rain nor thunder. The clouds were ominous and hovered above Grimsby Falls with a sense of imposing pressure. The only sound that could be heard was the howling of wind rustling the leaves of the trees around them as they walked.
Belmont Manor stood the same way the group had left it. Although the shadows gave off an eerie aura, nothing leapt out at any of them. The manor seemed devoid of any life.
The Wisp buried in Vala's scarf, however, turned toward the area that went beyond the manor's courtyard behind the main building. It turned towards the group and beckoned them to follow it.
