(Sorry for the month-long hiatus. I've scrapped my drafted reply to this at least 5 times. Maybe because of the C-C-Combo Breaker!)

Eyva was launched into the air after Gold had hammer-thrown her; she was unable to regain control of her position in midair, which had left her wide open. Excalik's hat had sailed right for her back, the blades making a deep angled slice between her shoulder blades. This made her let out a scream of pain. Eyva instinctively reached for her shoulder blade to try and get the embedded blades out of her back-- her right arm and wing were both sliced through by Allein's weapon. The top wing suffered far more damage, falling down to the floor while she flailed through her effort to stop her arm's bleeding. She let out a screech in a distorted voice.

"A critical hit!" Vala got out, managing a smile. "Now to finish her off!"

"My-my arm...!" Eyva reached out towards her severed wing, Excalik's hat falling to the floor due to her struggling loosening the blades out from her back. "Please... help me..." her voice was a strained whisper.

"Hmph, you expect me to help you again after making me watch that pitiful performance? Sorry, but I'd rather spend my magic energy on something that would actually give me a benefit. Your arrogance was your downfall." The telepathic voice sounded both disappointed and cold. "Get back up and fight, you stupid pile of feathers."

Eyva pushed herself to sit up on her knees, holding her severely injured arm while she tried to get up on her two feet again. She tried to blast more magic with her remaining wings, but pulling her wings back made the blood loss even more prominent, forcing her to stop.

"Please don't eat me, I wouldn't taste very good at all..." Lord Belmont stuttered. "Let's hope that the manor is empty because they all escaped and not because the monsters got to them... it's all so odd... we never have encountered monsters around here in all my years... At least, not so close to the Falls. It's been a century since there were monsters attacking the humans here. What could have brought them to my manor?..."

"I assure you I will not be feasting on you, Lord Belmont." Gorecilia smiled. "Perhaps all these ghouls and monsters appearing in your lovely estate may be because of a curse? They might be running out of living space and decided to make your manor their new home." Gorecilia headed out into the rain but the space under her legs and thorax was just tall enough to make room for Belmont so he doesn't get wet.

"Where do you suppose we search first? Maybe a room of interest or value? The ghouls might have been after material goods."

"We have to kill her. Don't want a last minute power up." Excalik grabbed for his dagger, forcing himself to walked towards Eyva as he raised his weapon in the air. "So much for that cocky attitude of yours, eh?" Excalik's eyes narrowed as he gritted his teeth. Blood spilled from the side of his mouth. "Now perish."

Allein glared at Eyva and let her sister's Chill of death ability leak out from her, directing it towards Eyva.

"She isn't the last enemy we have yet." Vala said. "There's someone calling the shots around here. But we don't know where they would be."

"And I won't tell you either. You won't have to look for long at least." Eyva said, her voice weak. She didn't even gather the strength to get up, and began to shiver uncontrollably due to feeling incredibly cold all of a sudden.

"...."

"Make it painful." Vala ordered. She had no sympathy for the monster, and it showed in her venomous tone of voice. "Quick and painful, I guess. We can't waste time finding the mastermind behind all this." She quickly glanced over at Allein with a vague sense of discomfort. Due to being mostly unaware of her current inner state of being.

"The only place I can think of is the study at the top floor. Plenty of family heirlooms are in there." Belmont replied after giving the idea a thought. "Otherwise, I'm unsure."

Allein saw that she was making her friends uncomfortable and she reigned in the power as she went to get her weapon and then put it on her back. She looked at Vala and said "I'll explain everything once this mission is over. Until then, please don't ask any questions."

Gold took his hammer, swung it into the air, and brought it crashing down on Evya's head, trying to make it as quick and painless as possible.

"Light rest your soul..."

"Well, I believe we might find some answers there." Gorecilia chuckled. "Are you royalty Lord Belmont? Maybe these ghouls would like to feast on your blood. That sounds rather tasty if you ask me! I wonder what royalty tastes like..."

Gorecilia looked back at Belmont with a nervous smile.

"Ahh... I won't be eating you, I promise." Gorecilia started to make her way back to the manor, trying to find a way to the third floor. "I sure hope we don't meet any nasty ghouls tho', you need to recover from your injuries!"

"Heh, you got it before me. Thanks. My body is actually aching right now from doing all of that. Lifting my dagger actually snap the last bit of my strength." Excalik said to Gold. He turns to Vala and slowly walked towards her. "You okay? You got ruffled up earlier. What was that all about?"
