The harpy got ready to evade Allein's blows, but was immediately blinded by the light cast from Z. He reeled to shield his eyes from the painful light, but doing so rendered him completely open to the rain of punches. The force sent the harpy stumbling back several feet and wasn't registering what just happened due to being disoriented.

The wolf girl shouted in surprise and shut her eyes tightly, shaking her head. "Ugh...! J-just because you've blinded me doesn't mean I can't hear or smell you!" Her fluffy ears flicked in different directions as she tilted her head. She wasn't moving with such mobility now.

Geist shrieked and promptly faded put from the room. Whether the light killed the ghost or forced it to take refuge elsewhere was a guess.

================

The hounds caught fire and barked with pain, howling nonstop as they fought the flames and tried to tackle Excalik and Vala.

"Now's a good time to finish them off if you can...!" Vala started to step back, feeling out of breath.

"Right!" Excalik held his dagger to the side. "Take this! Speed Cutter!" His body zip across the area before the hounds attack in all direction, before appearing in front of Vala.

"That.. should do it.."

Allein looked at her opponent then smirked as she took her sword and then slashedat the Harpy.

The Z-Clone panted, unable to float anymore due to all of her energy being wasted. She laughed slightly to herself and her body slowly started to disappear. She was unable to keep on due to all the fighting and creations she did. She turned to Gold and waved her hand at him, almost as if saying goodbye.

"I do believe my energy is finished~" Z clone echoed. "I must bid you farewell, Sir Gold~ Fear not, let my final wish aid you through this mess~"

The Z-Clone dispersed into what looked to be a mess of dust and glitter. All the dust circled around gold and healed up any wounds he had as well as give him a boost of energy. From that point, the Z-Clone was gone but she left behind a boost for Gold to continue on.

The wolf-girl was far too disoriented by the many sounds around her to sense Gold coming at her with his hammer, ultimately taking the hit directly.

"Uugh!" The blow made her spit out quite a bit of blood as she was sent backwards.

The harpy cried out in pain once he was slashed into the torso. Blood and feathers fell to the carpeted floor, but he remained standing; at least, until the wolfgirl collided into him from Gold's attack. The force of them colliding knocked them both out on the floor, the Harpy the only one to remain somewhat conscious. He dug his nails into the carpet as his wound opened further and spread his blood on the carpet.

"Damn you.... all..."

The hounds howled and thrashed before the lashes sprayed blood outwards, causing them all to collapse to their sides on the floor. They whined in a low tone as they bled out.

"Interesting. You managed to take out the hounds before they tore you apart." Said the raven woman, cupping her own cheek in contemplation. "Oh bother... that means I have to expend my energy. But I was prepared for--"

"Are you gonna attack us or not? Your talking is wasting our time." Vala cut in. This caused the woman to narrow her eyes and a smirk to form on her features.

"Very well then." She raised her arm forward, sending several spheres of some kind of dark energy towards the two.

"Damn, watch out!" Vala shouted as she prepared to jump out of the way. She couldn't tell which ones would hit first or closest to them though.

Allein slowly walked to the harpy lifted her sword and then stabbed into its neck.

"It is you who are damned." Gold said fully in his Vengance form. "I'm going to make every monster in this mansion pay for the blood you split, the blood of my friend Z!" He smashed the hammer down onto the Harpy's head with a yell.

Excalik narrowed his eyes, jumping towards opposite direction of Vala. "Whoa!"

The harpy's body had gone limp, releasing some kind of smoky essense with red flecks of light. It dissipated into the air accompanied by some kind of faint shrieking noise.

The wolf girl had bled out and lost consciousness.

Strangely, the flames of the chandeliers and other fixtures flickered back on, as if something was just holding them back from lighting the area. The storm was still beating on the windows of the mansion, but they managed to regain visibility.
=============

Vala was struck with the dark energy ball by surprise. She felt the dark energy burn her body where it hit, although her clothes didn't catch fire.

"Shoot..." Vala could feel her energy being sapped as it forced her to use her staff in order to stay upright. "Is that a--" her whole body suddenly tensed as she grabbed at her back and shoulders, letting out a strangled shout of pain.

"N-no!! Not now, damn it...!" Vala fell to the floor on one knee as her staff clattered to the floor, gripping her arms and shaking from the pain.

"I see now. So that was the energy I felt. You're just a human as I thought, but that 'other' energy, I sensed as you came towards me." The raven woman said. "I figured if I channeled some chaotic energy into my attacks, it would interact with it, and it did."

"I... don't know what you're talking about..." Vala said through gritted teeth.

"Hah. Don't act like you don't know why you're suddenly under excruciating pain."

The spheres that didn't hit left dark marks on the carpet, glowing darkly as a warning.

"At least I know the only one with a real nuisance is the other human."
