The Reality Vortex: New Roads

Cuki continued to angrily stare at Lucifer while her thoughts drifted off to something else for the meanwhile. Eventually, she sunk back down into her couch and bit her thumb. She began to think back to the information gathered by the others about the Coin Hunter and the new Detectives Goku and Broly. As the thought of the Coin Hunter came around, so did the image of Zenta.

Oh Zenta, I wonder how you're holding up... Things are interesting with the new Breakers, I wish you could see it. With you gone, some things are much clearer for me to see. The way some of the Breakers are acting is just... wrong. If you were here, I'm sure you'd be able to help the Breakers... Cuki lifted her head to face the ceiling before smiling to herself. But I'll wait for you to see it yourself. I want to see how you defend these... Breakers.

Cuki let out a small yawn before gently caressing the stump of a tail.

"So, uhh, you sure this will grow back?" She said to Gogeta. "I need my tail to cook my masterful dishes after all. I swear, if it doesn't grow back soon I'm ripping yours off and keeping it for myself. I look like some stump-tailed freak because of what you two did."

Cross asks Maijin Bara "What kind or just any candy?"

Cross says "got you three Saiyan Special." as he keeps writing down orders.

Gogeta perked his eyebrows a bit at the mention of Broly's name, mostly ignoring the other Breakers commenting on Goku and Vegeta. He turned his eyes upwards, his attention drifting a bit as he spoke.

"Oh yeah, Broly's a strong guy! I kind of fought him in our universe, but he's not that bad of a guy."

He reached out, the wine bottle that Bernkastel had set down on the counter now in his hand as he grinned.

"I can't see him being a detective though; he's way too dumb for that!"

Gogeta seemingly wasted no time flicking off the cork in the bottle, lifting it by the neck of the bottle and starting a small chug of the liquid. Within an instant, he nearly dropped the bottle and lurched his head forward, coughing violently and his face contorting in a twisted cringe as if he tasted the sourest substance in existence. He hacked, flicking his tongue with a disgusted expression.

"Gah!! This doesn't taste good at all!!"

He blinked a bit at Cuki's sudden threat, frowning immediately and forming a pouting expression.

"Hey!! It's not my fault; I was trying to get you to keep your tail so we could make you turn Super Saiyan 4 too! Spina was the one that kept trying to cut it off!"

“Hardboiled. The age group doesn’t matter.” Lucifer responded to Cross. “That’ll do, for now. Please, let’s get these foods quickly.” Before turning to Panich once more, Lucifer give out a warning. “I’d be careful of taking that drink mindlessly. It is, as I said before, quite powerful in terms of flavor, among other things as well. Don't get too carry away with it.” Chuckling at the sight of Gogeta hacking from the taste. "Then again, I don't think Saiyans understand the concept of "good flavors".

After giving fair warning about the ordeal, his attention was fixated on Panich. “I’ll ask again; do you find these two interesting? Someone you know?” Lucifer questioned. “if you want to meet them, I’m sure they’ll willingly to greet you if you have some connection with them.”

Cross says finishing the list "that everything." The paper vanishes.

Cross says "If not for what the storm's core(the voice) did say I would tell you all but one can find all kinds of possibility's ones life can take." Cross thinks "I meant a form of my self that did not go down the path of lichdom."

"And I can't see you being much of an alcohol aficionado. You can't chug it all at once either," Bernkastel teased, taking the bottle back from Gogeta in his coughing fit. "You have to smell it, then sip it. Otherwise you're just going to get heartburn." Still, she couldn't help but muffle a giggle at the sight-- his expression was pretty amusing. "Well, it smells nicer than it tastes for the uninitiated since the cheap kind is inferior in almost every way. I'm tempted to drink some now, but it will be best enjoyed with dinner."

For the time being, Bern placed it centered on the table for when the food would arrive, digging around for her favorite glass to drink out of. "The huge amount of food you Saiyans tend to eat gets you further than alcohol anyway since it doesn't really fuel anything in particular. Probably." She couldn't really remember the last time she got drunk... not even sake can get her further than a warm buzz half the time. "Maybe tea is more to your liking. Different flavor blends to pair with different foods... hot or iced... you only need to worry about brewing it properly. You can also throw a cup of piping hot tea to scald your enemy for an element of surprise," Bernkastel said matter-of-factly.

"'I don't think Saiyans understand the concept of good flavors.'" Cuki mocked Lucifer under her voice. "Hmph, Gogeta and Spina are idiots when it comes to good food but I'm definitely not like them. I'm the best darn cook in this whole realm. No one can outcook me in anything..."

Cuki was starting to get more jealous of Lucifer since he had more experience with his palette than she did and the way he mocked Saiyans was another trigger for her. She turned back to face the small angel with narrow eyes as she mostly kept her body hidden behind the sofa with the exception of her large ears. While there was nothing she could do now, she huffed in annoyance at his slick comments. As she waited for the food to arrive, she did not know what to while she waited. She idly gazed at the others, trying to paint a picture of them in her head. Her eyes lazily locked on to Lucifer, barely even blinking as she stared at him with a bored expression.

Lucifer... there is something I don't quite understand about you. Your demeanor, your class, and your knowledge. Why would someone like you hang out with us? I wish I can sniff out your true intentions, but alas, that would ruin the surprise I've been hiding. Cuki continued to stare at Lucifer, unblinking. Maybe I'm overthinking things but you are certainly unique. Every time you stare at me, it's as if your eyes pierce deeper and see what the others cannot. I wonder... Do you know, Lucifer..? And if you do, why hide it? Is it for your sake or mine..?

After a moment of hesitation, Panich's seemingly uncomfortable demeanor changed back to assertive.

"Of course! Goku was- is a very close friend of mine..! And Vegeta my brother! You said they were here!? ...I've been searching for so long...!"

She seemed a bit excited more as she got closer to Lucifer's face at the offer to take her to them. "Yes! Take me to them, please!"

Lucifer’s eyes widened at the revelation that Panich is somewhat connected to them—family wise. “Oh, this ought to be good.” Before the others can have a chance to intercept their conversation or attempt to force their way in, the small angel’s wings spread out. “I do need to exercise my wings, so I’ll gladly take you there. If they know you, that’ll increased our “outside” allies within a city that separate themselves from you, Breakers. Family is important right?”

He smiled, a smile that gives off a rather strange vibe—a smile of curiosity, or the possible revelation that things might not turned into something Panich is hoping for. “Let’s head out quickly. I’m sure we’ll make it back before the food arrives—and show this heathen on the concept of true cuisine.” Lucifer winks at Cuki. “Your food may impress the Breakers, but that’s the reality of a house chef—they’re only good when others don’t have expectations in the first place.” Lucifer nodded. “Shall we go?” Lucifer headed outside and levitated off the ground as his wings flapped. “Your… family is waiting.”
