The Reality Vortex: New Roads

Bernkastel hugged her legs close to her body as she suddenly was raised up into the air by the pillar, looking up to see Lucifer also having taken substantial damage from the attacks. She had been processing what he said focusing entirely on Hart's ultimate motive, staring straight down at what went on the ground below them. The moment she uttered her last sentence, Bern's eyes widened before she narrowed them in blatant scorn.

"What she intends to do... is flood this entire world with insanity-- that's the cost of coming in contact with Dark Energy. She isn't protecting innocence by any means... she's just taking it away." She balled up her hands into fists til the knuckles turned white, her expression taking on one of indignant fury. The phrase immediately invoked memories of the white and destroyed black orb known as the Tools with which supplied the Voice's powers. "The one she wants is that useless god Voice who can't even do his one job correctly! Dark energy can't be purged; Doctor Doom was lucky to retain even a scrap of reason within him from using it to power his lunatic plan." In a balancing act Bernkastel pulled herself to stand and placed a hand on Lucifer's shoulder, a deep grimace making its way across her face. "From the moment this new world was created, darkness has been slowly collecting here... he won't 'save' anyone or anything. Knowing him, he'd just erase everyone to deal with it. Nobody will be saved... they will be damned to that fate. To put all her faith into a worthless, useless, incompetent god like him-- ridiculous, isn't it."

She began to chuckle humorlessly as she watched Cuki begin her full-on assault straight for Hart. "That's all Hart's farce is... righteous justice twisted and distorted by madness into what she thinks must be the governing truth. Now that I think about it, spitting on my face is less offensive to me than trying to pass that off as an absolute before me."

"For desecrating the Witch of Certainty's name with words of such audacity... I'll crush those illusions to dust," Bernkastel hissed venomously under her breath. Although her body was battered beyond belief, her fighting spirit considerably flared back up feeling such intense emotions of indignant anger. Without the magic of certainty, I'd sooner cut your tongue out than hear you speak any more! I'll make you know your place, woman!

"Cuki's bought us some time by forcing Hart to focus on close combat, but any number of coins lie in wait to dispatch her. How do we weaken her..." The ground was unstable and there were crystals everywhere-- if Hart avoided touching them then they were also a danger to herself. "Those towers were summoned, so they're physical entities. It's possible to forcibly time out the magic by attacking the towers physically." Bern did not know who Beatrice was, but the way the magic manifested resembled how they were performed from her world.

Valley of the Black Crystals

Lucifer’s eyes widened when Bernkastel explained what Hart was truly seeking as he was raised in the air by the pillar. He took a few seconds to stare up in the sky, seeing the Vortex Moon that orbits the entire Reality Vortex, before turning back at the Witch of Miracles. The small angel let out a breathy laugh, his shoulders bounce up and down repeatedly. “Reliance on a god, you say. My, my, That is something I cannot let such ideals continue.” Lucifer placed his hand on Bernkastel in kind, seeing her face filled with disgust when revealing Hart’s intentions was a delighted sight to see.

“I can share some of my energy with you—due to my size from that strange attack from earlier, I still not be able to truly cap my true capabilities, so they’re lingering within me. It won’t be enough to reap the benefits, but it’ll provide some aspect, so you won’t be completely and utterly defenseless.” Lucifer, despite taking massive damage, was unfazed about the amount of wounds bruise on his body. Licking his lips, he pondered on the question on getting around the Vortex Coins. “We know that it takes time to activate the coin in each succession—is there any other information?”

Hart collapsed on the ground from Cuki’s tackle, taking the barrage of punches against her face, causing the helmet to form small cracks. She extended her arms forward, grabbing Cuki in through the punches, digging her fingers into the young one’s skin. “Armée géante!!”

A group of giants formed around the young warrior and Hart with large shields infused with magic. The giants smashed their shields against Cuki simultaneously, halting her movements, giving Hart ample enough time to activate another Coin. “Coin Activation…” initially, in the previous rights, the Coin Hunter activated a Coin one at the time, leaving the previous one to returned in her collection—but here, she’s adding onto another coin. “World War Hulk!” It took 5 seconds after utterly the phrase to activate it, as she cocked her right hand back and hit Cuki, held in place by the giants, directly in the stomach. It send her flying upward in the air as the Towers refocused their target towards Cuki. Hart stood up, as sparks of electricity cackle around the gauntlet due to using two at once.

“Did you see that? It took her a bit to switch coins.” Lucifer said, extending his right arm to, causing Cuki to fly further upward to their direction, just enough for the projectiles to not reach due to the sheer height. The small angel noticed Hart making a move. “We need to make our move; I don’t think I can control this one from rampaging.” He said, as Hart ran towards the pillar and started smashing against it.

Cuki’s Apartment

Hit after hit, Spina took extreme punishment from Panich’s brutal assault. “She’s getting stronger; that energy of her is steadily rising the more she fights.” Hi head whipped back and forth at her incredible speeds exceeding his expectations. As blood trail downward from his forehead from the savage damage, he went through the sky once more, seeing a mighty powerful blast engulfed him entirely.

Smokes disperse quickly, Spina rose his head at the Saiyan Princess. Blood dripping from his fingers; bruises apparent across his body, yet, despite the condition, the old Saiyan smiled. For the past three years, ever since they failed to stop Doom and prevent the destruction of their worlds, Spina felt lost. A purpose was never fulfilled—not even Bernkastel’s suggestion of doing some type of work was something he wasn’t familiar with. He was a warrior that seeks death battles for the sake of enjoyment; he was a warrior that sought out to fight the strongest. He was not a warrior that forms relationships with others.

Yet, when he fought Vegetto-Black, Doctor Doom and Gogeta, he felt those feelings remerging. The high of fighting to the death. The feeling of two warriors in equal standing to give the best of their all. His blood was pumping, his sense sharpened, and his primal instincts equalized to that of the similar concept to that of “Ultra Instinct”. His golden and red aura flourished wildly as he tensed his body to engage in the battle once again. But then a single image of Kai appeared on his mind.

Spina narrowed his eyes remembering her. Is this the path he chosen and forsaken his training with her? Doesn’t his relationship with Kai refute the concept of not forming bonds? The Old Saiyan considered all the other aspect on his inability to linger around. Shaking his head, he’s seeing a powerful enemy that is constantly getting stronger. In his mind, it was time to take control.

The Saiyan rushed towards Panich and punching her against her stomach. A powerful shockwave forced all the clouds to disperse, and the nearby crows to flock aimlessly. He let out a second strike by kicking her left torso, leaving another shockwave from the impact. Spina cocked his right hand back, and instantly unleashed devastating blows against her body.

Spina grabbed her face and headbutted her. “Look at yourself, you damn fool! Is this what you seek!? Do you want to show up to your family like that!?” He pulled back his giant left arm and uppercut her further up in the sky. “Flowing Strike—” For the first time, Spina have showcased a move he hadn’t used before. “Instant Slayer”. A stream of water trailed from his fingers, and instantly land on the Princess in rapid blows, slicing her flesh apart in hopes to make her arms unsable.

“Need more time to use this…” Spina flung afterwards, colliding with the Princess as they hurl further up in the sky. “Aren’t you a Saiyan!? Where’s your pride?! You can’t even think straight!!” Spina launched a barrage of punches, baiting the princess to counter.

Reality Metropolis

Detective Goku paused for a moment. He stared at Gogeta for a moment, then stared at the destruction of Reality Metropolis. Once he view the destruction, he turned to the direction where the Valley of the Black Crystals is located. “The safety of this world is always first—and I have no qualms that the others can do something more significant than this one barging in with his usual acts.” He was firm on his stance. “However…” He loosened his grip on Gogeta and placed his hands in his pockets, the Detective focused on Clark Kent referring to his name. “I can see that you have confidence that this one can provide some assistance in defeating the Coin Hunter. I can see that ”

The Detective turned around, his back facing Gogeta and Clark Kent. “Once the battle is over, and they managed to take down Hart. I’m taking him in. No questions asked.” He turned his head slightly. “Not even you won’t stop me from arresting him. Got it?” He looks at Gogeta. “Be thankful to the one that always have your back. Once you have a proper meeting, behind bars.”

Reality Metropolis

Clark Kent kept his warm smile, nodding curtly.

"Of course, and if he acts up, I'll even help you bring him in."

Gogeta grunted, rubbing his shoulder for a moment and standing back upright next to Clark Kent. He glanced between the two, noticing a bit of the tense atmosphere in the conversation, but kept his eyes on Clark with an eyebrow raised.

"Huh? How do you two know each other?"

Clark kept his smile, but quickly shook his head and turned towards the valley.

"Come, there's no time to explain all of that. Your friends need you; Bernkastel needs you. Go help her take down Hart, and we can talk after."

Gogeta kept narrowed eyes, staring down Clark for a brief moment before promptly blasting off in a white aura. The fusion cringed a bit, struggling to maintain his flight slightly in leaving Clark and Detective Goku behind on the ruined city streets of Reality Metropolis.

Cuki's Apartment

Panich was halted in place by the powerful punch, spitting up her stomach acid before her head whipped to the left, then the right from Spina's heavy hits. Stumbling backward a bit the Princess disappeared once again, trying to surprise Spina from behind only to be forced into a headbutt. She grunted loudly as their heads collided, glaring deeply at the older Saiyan warrior. A look of doubt appeared briefly on the crazed Panich's face seconds before being shot into the sky by the powerful uppercut.

NO. She wouldn't let her ambitions be clouded by him. This was the right thing to do! She promised she wouldn't fail. And she would keep that promise. Just win. JUST KILL!

Panich's unsure expression changed back to the angered scowl as the water stream sliced at her limbs and leaving gashes. It was clear that all thoughts had been suppressed once again as she barreled toward Spina Slamming herself into him as they rose into the sky nearing the edge of the atmosphere. The oncoming fists were indeed countered with her own melee of fists, but as the other looked closer at the crazed Princess, he would notice the dark energy appearing to be regenerating and replacing the sliced muscle tissue from Spina's earlier attack.

As Zenta continued to pass through the Valley of Black Crystals, he sensed a very familiar energy that seemed to give him goosebumps. He picked up speed, knowing that Brachi and Cross would have no trouble following his trail. His only hope was to get there on time.

The hit on Cuki's stomach knocked the wind out of her entire body, making her almost pass out from the blow. It was hard for Cuki to breathe thanks to the immense blow to her stomach. Her vision grew blurry as she flew in the air, her body and mind needing a couple of seconds to recover from the massive attack. Only until she was saved by Lucifer did she regain her senses and let out a loud gasp for air.

That one really hurt... Only more attack like that and it could get really ugly for me...

Cuki continued to gasp for air as she rose her hand in the air. Icy blue eyes shined vibrantly as she started to concentrate some of the mist surrounding the group began to lift into the air above her hand before condensing slightly into a ball. Cuki grabbed it and tossed it over to Hart where it exploded into several smaller spikes. The spikes would scatter about, carefully aiming away from the Black Crystals. Cuki did not seem to care for Bernkastel or Lucifer's safety since the spikes seemed to attack all those who were nearby.

No more... No more..! NO MORE!!!

The pillar that Hart was punching away chipped away greatly but the spikes sliced through the giant metallic pillar like butter considering it was made of the same substance. The spikes grew larger and rushed towards Bernkastel and Lucifer, leaving very little openings for them to escape and it would no doubt impale them in their current condition. However, a soon as the spikes grew close enough, they were deflected by an unseen force, saving the Witch and Fallen Angel from serious harm. Two large tails swayed in front of them nearly blocking the view of a large fluffy beast that deflected the last of the incoming metallic spears from the two beings. The spikes that attacked the metal pillar began to break it down along with Hart's massive punches. The pillar shook before breaking in half, falling dangerously close to the Black Crystals. The beast scooped Bernkastel in his arms and Lucifer with his tails as he hopped off the falling pillar to safety. He released Lucifer and gently placed Bernkastel on her feet. His tails were coated in energy that left a blueish-white streak, the same one Cross and Brachi were following.

"My, my, you certainly are the Witch of Miracles, Lady Bernkastel," The beast chuckled as he turned around to face both Lucifer and Bernkastel. It was Zenta. He had returned from being a coin! "This was truly a miracle in some way, yes? A second too late and you two would have been impaled. However, I assume you have seen better days, Lady Bernkastel."

Cuki's ears twitched upon hearing a familiar voice and slowly turned to see Zenta. Her body froze for a second but she bared her teeth slightly. Acting as if she never saw the fluffy beast, she rushed directly to Hart and slammed her palm against her shoulder. Similar to the attack she did on the Coin Hunter, Hart would begin to feel numbness on her shoulder until spikes jutted out of her shoulder and armor.

Behind Zenta, Brachi and Majin Bara both arrived, moving to check on Bernkastel and Lucifer for a moment, while being careful to avoid whatever Cuki had thrown their way, with Brachi observing Cuki's attack on Hart.

"So, we finally have our true enemy..." She said.

Cross did keep up with the group and did much as the group did.

Cross says "Lest get this over with." The Dolls seem ready to fight.

The apartment
(this is going to be assumed innless Spina dos not want it to be so)

The wisps/jacks are supporting Spina the best they can.

Throughout the oncoming onslaught of spikes and feeling the pillar collapse beneath herself and Lucifer, Bernkastel wrenched her eyes shut, expecting she would be impaled or swallowed up by the cracks in the ground.

But it didn't happen.

When she heard a familiar voice she slowly opened 1 eye and looked around before opening the other. Bernkastel, seeing Zenta up so close after three years only knowing he was stuck as a coin, was speechless. She stuttered in utter disbelief.

"Z-Zenta?! But how did... how are you..." Bern thought she was hallucinating, but it was him in the flesh. Brachi, Bara, and Cross arrived in tow too. "I thought you would have been stuck in Hart's gauntlet..." She shook her head to confirm Brachi's thoughts. "Your timing is a miracle indeed. That's her alright... the Coin Hunter. She's on the second coin now, but she's bringing out the heavy artillery. Each switch takes 5 full seconds."

Bernkastel side-eyed the battle from afar with a frown. "I remember Cross said we can force Hart into using multiple coins at once, which we can do now that you four are here. But Cuki... I can't tell whether she is friend or foe anymore. The aggression, the fury... it's too unpredictable. Like she's been possessed by it. Even so, I won't lie down and watch Hart bulldoze her down over and over." The witch turned to Lucifer and held out her hand toward him. She knew the old adage to never deal with a devil, but Bernkastel decided it didn't apply to someone who learned her levels of cruelty from a monster in witch's clothing. After all, she didn't earn the epithet 'Blue Devil' for no good reason.

"I'll take any amount of energy you can give me by a transfer. This is my fight as much as anyone's else's, so I'll make do-- I'm in a good mood to sock her across the jaw."

Valley of the Black Crystals

Hart spun around, nearly collapsing to the floor but managed to hold herself up. Grabbing her shoulders, she noticed the metallic spikes growing outward, piercing through the armor, Hart noticed that several people have arrived at the scene. Letting out a hefty laugh, Hart jumped back, due to the strength of the World War Hulk, shattered the ground beneath them. “Perfect. You roaches flock as I expected.”

“I guess this is the other Vortex that was friends with the Breakers. The one that destroys energy within a person.” Lucifer observed Zenta for a brief second since this is his first time seeing him in person. Due to the nature of the fight going on, there was no time to communicate effectively in an honest conversation. Especially that Cuki had started attacking everyone it seems. “I wonder if that’s the case, or perhaps, it finally decided to show the true nature. Well, never mind that…” Seeing Bernkastel held out her hand to him puts a smile on his face. A graceful smile, a smile that tells many stories, many arcs and many lessons that been involved. This will be another “lesson” in the grand scheme of things.

“Excellent,” Lucifer took hold of Bernkastel’s hand tightly. “Make good use for it, and please, show the idea that gods have no bearings in this world. Here and elsewhere.” Some of his excess energy build within him transferred into the witch as the angel smile with grace. It wasn’t enough to give the full restoration of her magical abilities, but it was enough to work with for the time being. “That should do it.” He turns to Hart from afar, taking on Bernkastel’s intel she gained from Cross. “Force her to use many Vortex Coins? I believe I can assist with that. Keep her at bay, I have an idea to executed this, but it needs some time.” Lucifer spread out his wings and fly further up in the air as high it could be—but enough distance to avoid the Black Crystals. “As expected, the only way to enter here and get out is by foot on the ground or through unknown forces…” Lucifer placed his hands together.

“2 years in the making… how long I prepared for this day.” Hart said, still holding onto her arm that had spikes forcing through the armor. “I’ll smash all you to pieces! Coin Activation: Dark Schneider!” Five seconds have passed since the activation. Accompanying with the previous Coins, Beatrice and Hulk, Hart formed powerful fire and lightning balls around her, launched indiscriminately, but avoiding hitting the Black Crystals towards their target. The shoulder towers, still in effect, started firing magical projectiles towards Bernkastel and Cuki in specific, intending to force them all back to hit the crystals.

Cuki’s Apartment

Spina and Panich’s punches had enough force to output more energy than the explosive death of a gigantic star. They spun around in rapid blows being exchanging as both soared in the air so high, they were extremely closed to the actual barrier—a barrier impossible to destroy no matter the strength of any individual.

The Old Saiyan gritted his teeth seeing that her body was slowly regenerating. He dodged one of her punches and grabbed her face with his right hand and slammed her head against the indestructible walls. “Look at yourself! Is this what you want!? Is this how you want to go down!? Is this the pride of a Saiyan who calls herself the Princess of the Saiyan Race?!” Spina shouted, but underneath his lecture, his blood was boiling-the excitement of a battle was raging high.

Reality Metropolis

As Gogeta flew away, Detective Goku fixed his glasses. “And there’s goes someone that’s susceptible to the dangers he possessed.” He stated, not referring to whom he was talking about. “So, you’re planning on keeping this act up? Not that I’m judging. Just an interesting analysis that this is the method you chose to do so.” Detective took out a watch. “Whatever your reasons are, I sure it something to do with “their” benefit in some fashion. Ah, I need to make rounds.”

Brachi merely scowled as she saw the attacks headed her way, while Majin Bara powered up to her Potential Unleashed state, before she hardened part of her gooey body as a shield to block the incoming projectiles safely.

"You've come so far, and tried so hard, but in the end, it doesn't even matter." She said, before transforming into Super Saiyan God, with its iconic reddish hair and the fire-like aura, before dashing at high speed directly towards Hart herself, her right fist reared back for a punch.

The instant Brachi was in front of Hart however, she instantly transformed into Super Saiyan Blue before delivering the actual punch to her face, followed by a fierce kick to send the woman back, after which she reverted back to Super Saiyan God, and giving chase to Hart, dashing in front of her and delivering another kick while switching to Super Saiyan Blue, and then reverting back to God form to gain some space and keeping her guard up to follow-up actions from Hart or any of her allies.
