Whis turned his eyes towards Bernkastel, his blank expression remaining.
"She holds the title in our universe for it, but she has yet to undergo the proper training."
He frowned slightly.
"One of the requirements for her actual position to be recognized by the other gods from the different universes is Ultra Instinct: none of the other deities are inept in combat as she is. Once that is achieved, however, a being known as the Grand Priest oversees their direct instruction on time manipulation."
Whis kept his frown, turning his eyes up.
"Yet for now, she is simply a brute with too much power on her hands. Today should mark a turning point for her training, however."
=============================
After the Lich finished healing her, Kassava slowly relaxed in Vegetto's grasp. She took a moment to collect herself, before peering up at Vegetto.
"Thanks honey."
Vegetto only nodded curtly in response, his eyes narrowing.
"Can you walk?"
Kassava shifted her legs to the side, using Vegetto's shoulder to prop herself up before placing her feet on the ground.
"Yeah...yeah I think so."
Vegetto helped her up, still walking alongside her as the pair approached the door where Whis and Bernkastel waited for the others. Upon reaching the two, Vegetto turned his eyes up to Whis, his dual voice flat.
"Whis."
Whis perked his eyebrows, glancing down while Vegetto continued.
"Stay here and train her. We're going to need to fix this arrogance problem once and for all."
Whis raised an eyebrow, watching Kassava also blink in confusion as Vegetto suddenly moved out from supporting her up. Kassava stumbled forward slightly, her eyes widening in confusion.
"What?"
Vegetto turned his head slightly, but began to move towards the door.
"You heard what that kid said. That fight was enough to make it clear: we're both embarrassments. Look how easily he broke you down."
Kassava narrowed her eyes into a glare.
"He blindsided me!! How was I supposed to know he was going to break the rules?!"
Vegetto scoffed.
"That's the point: you weren't. What if this Doom decides to do the same thing in the trials...what if he wanted to just mess with us and decided to catch you unprepared again?"
Kassava kept her stern expression, placing her hands on her hips.
"Well...you could help me. Just like how I could help you: we're a team."
Vegetto mockingly laughed, shaking his head.
"Right...help each other. Did you forget what happened not even ten minutes ago?"
Vegetto's glare sharpened, gesturing out to the open field in no particular direction.
"That kid was about to destroy both of us...and when I needed to protect you most...this Ultra Instinct...the power of the gods...left. You could've died, and I wouldn't have been able to do a thing to stop it."
He turned back to his side, preparing to finish closing the gap to the door.
"Whis was right...this bond has become a problem for us. It's made you soft...you need to start working on what matters again."
Kassava grunted in annoyance, raising her own eyebrow with a venomous tone.
"And what about you? You aren't exactly humble yourself."
Vegetto paused for a moment, his back still to Kassava.
"You're right. A couple of days ago, I would've tried to kill everyone here if it meant seeing you again."
He glanced down at his hands, his frown returning.
"I'm starting to see why that's a problem now."
Kassava's eyes widened a bit, a small shiver running up her spine watching Vegetto stride forward again.
"Wait...what's that supposed to mean?"
She waited for a few seconds, her voice raising at the lack of response Vegetto as he continued to walk away from her.
"Vegetto! Answer me!!"
Kassava's expression only detoriated as Vegetto still walked forward, nearly at the exit.
"Fine!! If you won't respond to your wife, than respond to your god!! Stop!!"
Vegetto's movement continued, prompting Kassava finally to snap into a full blown scream.
"Your god commands you to stop!!"
Vegetto finally halted in his movement, his back still turned to her. Kassava panted lightly, the rage still burning strongly in her expression while Vegetto slowly turned around to face back towards her. A small scowl formed for a moment, but the intensity in his facial expression diminished, an uncharacteristically wounded expression forming as he slowly turned his head to Whis, his dual voice soft and low.
"Please train her, Whis."
Kassava's eyes widened, watching on as Vegetto finally turned on his heel again and disappeared through the portal door, leaving the arena behind. Kassava's eyes darted from side to side for a moment, her anger slowly morphing into embarrassment as she turned her stare to the floor. Whis stood with his scepter, covering his mouth with a fist and coughing audibly once.
"Well...that was something."
