Vegetto winced as he was flung forward, colliding with the ground. With each of Demi-Fiend's hits, the silver flame around Vegetto's body began to diminish in its display. He skid to a halt, propping himself back up onto his feet and tensing his muscles.

========

Underneath Demi-Fiend's boot, Kassava laid haphazardly on the ground with her body mostly still. Her face cringed heavily in pain, tears rolling down the sides of her face while her lower body remained fully limp. Only a few whimpers erupted from her mouth in response to Demi-Fiend's question, crying out as she was pulled up by her hair and suddenly flung forward.

========

Vegetto rose to his feet steadily, inhaling deeply. The frustrated scowl his face normally held relaxed slightly, yet the intensity remained as he cleared his mind of emotional attachment. The silver flame responded back in kind, the gleam in his eyes and the silver color of his hair resonating strongly once again as he removed the prying emotional annoyance he felt from Demi-Fiend's taunts.

However, the silver flame nearly vanished within an instant, seeing Demi-Fiend hoist Kassava up by her hair into the air.

"Kass!!"

The silver gleam completely left Vegetto's eyes, the hair returning to its normal shade of blackish brown while he stood near helpless. He gritted his teeth in anger, the emotional rage completely contrasting the intense, yet emotionally detached state of his Ultra Instinct form.

"Put her down!!"

His eyes only widened, watching on as she was slung forward. He quickly bolted into a sprint, completely ignoring the root of Demi-Fiend's point and ironically proving him right in his single minded venture to save Kassava. He quickly came to a halt directly under her, watching Bern's magic take hold.

"Kass!"

Vegetto stared up, glancing between Demi-Fiend and Bernkastel with wide eyes.

"Leave her out of this!"

======================

Whis perked his eyebrows, taking notice of the sudden disappearance of the silver aura. He blinked for a moment, moving up closer towards Bernkastel but still keeping reasonable distance.

"Today's results are far from what I had hoped for these individuals. Forgive me, hopefully the current state of affairs won't set us off schedule for the trials."

His eyes narrowed slightly, glancing towards Vegetto.

His ability to maintain that form...it faltered when Demi-Fiend moved too fast for him to follow the flow of battle. If he is unable to keep pace...then his mind starts to think again, reverting away from the power. With Kass' life being threatened...he became attached to his mind and heart once more...and the power instantly left him...

The taller angel sighed.

Attachment is the weakness. His body cannot react to the flow of combat and ki when his mind and heart are clouded.

the lich stars to heal and revive need it. The lich says "worst case it takes a night of rest but odds are the group shooed be fine after sleep."

Demi-Fiend turned his heard towards Bernkastel, seeing that she suspended Kassava's body, preventing any action to take place. As Bernkastel's cold stare, Demi-Fiend returned with his own. A brief moment of silence between the two, there was an understanding. The concept of power no longer matters. The vastness of strength cannot be understood. They were far gone into the state of normality, where they witness things far more than the simple basic reality of morality. In the end, Vegetto's words ringed through his head. Fighting is pointless.

Demi-Fiend shrugged his shoulders and conceded. "OK. I was getting bored anyway." He lifted his arm to the suspended Kassava, but not looking at her, and waved his hand to dispell the Gaea Rage coating around her body. He turned around towards Cuki after the Lich began the healing process for those who had fallen, picking her up by the tail and shaking her around a bit. You can hear the crackling of her bones.

"See this? This girl seemingly and nearly found her resolution." Demi-Fiend turns to both Vegetto and the awaited Kassava. "I have mighty praises for those who aren't bound by the reliance of others and instead, make their own choices." Demi-Fiend praises the fallen warrior, despite his rather awkward display of shaking her around like a doll. "In contrast, your wife is nothing sort of pathetic. Not only did your wife succumbed to her own fragile ego, she resorted outright destroy someone who was practically a walking dead man."

Demi-Fiend chuckled. "And your wife had the audacity to cry. I faced all kinds of Gods and none of them, even those that are begging for their own life when they're at their lowest, never shed a single tear." Demi-Fiend turns to Vegetto. "Shall I sing the praises of sympathies that you and your wife bite more than they can chew? I mean, she is a God right? A god that cries out whenever she is in danger, but have no qualms to stop when someone is practically dead. Karma is quite sweet when paid back?" Demi-Fiend turns to Vegetto. "And you. You quite disappointed me there. I thought you show some promise based on that outburst earlier, but I was wrong. You and your wife are a danger to this mission. All this Doctor Doom had to do is target either of you, and both of you will lose sight in the battle."

Demi-Fiend started to walk, Cuki over his shoulder. "I'm heading off since this training is done for the day, and I still need to clean up the apartment since this little chick impressed me." He looks around. "How we get out of here?"

Gervene on her turn frowned.

"So, is the training done for now?" She asked, having different thoughts about it compared to Bernkastel, while at the same time, Brachi and Majin Bara were wondering what was going on.

"For the best interest of the group, training is over for today. It's better something like this happened now than during the trials." Bernkastel said in response to Whis and Gervene before releasing Kassava from her magic, dropping her under the assumption Vegetto would catch her in his arms. "Here you are."

She stepped towards the others. "I apologize for not intervening until now. But what's done is done. Please check on Raune's condition, I'm afraid he's alive at bare minimal levels." She asks of the Lich, walking towards Spina and patting his frozen arm to shatter the crystals away as though it were no different than snow. Bernkastel tapped Spina with her shoe to see if he was still alive.

"You may have Brachi and her friend continue training since they are still at least in one piece, but I'm calling it off for the others now. Come along, Spina," Bernkastel waved her hand to conjure up a single black cat from her shadow, solidifying from a misty apparition. Without a sound, it bit onto Spina's gi and began to drag him along behind her as though he were merely a ragdoll. "Messy, messy. But I award valiant efforts."

Snow, having recovered from being flung back, looked at Brachi and Bara and said "I still have something to teach you two, and I was hoping Gervene wouldn't mind helping me with it."

Gervene nodded.

"Thank you. This is why I have recently taken up training them and their other friends personally; each of them have their own pros and cons... Tempest and Xeno for one are quite adept at being a battle couple for one; they're constantly co-ordinating each other's actions and are always fighting side by side. You should see them in action once we're back to my universe." She said, smiling as she got ready.

The lich says finishing healing then going to the next person that needed it "did that before you ask Bernkastel. I will start reviving people after I finish healing those that need it or want it." The lich thinks "There is some irony in my actions a lich healing and reviving people." The lich says

Vegetto's eyes remained wide, carefully catching Kassava once Bernkastel released her magic. He gently knelt down, his uncharacteristically worried eyes looking over Kassava.

"I got you...it's over..."

He felt Kassava quickly pull onto his upper gi, burying her face into the cloth and tremble against his arms. Vegetto's frown remained strong at the sound of her muffled whimpers, but his head soon titled up at Demi-Fiend's words. His narrowed eyes sharpened heavily into a tight glare, the smoldering rage slowly mounting at the smaller child like entity's wounding words. Yet his own narrowed eyes only lightened slightly at the end of his statement, lowering as he retreated into his mind.

Target one of us...and we both lose sight in battle...

Vegetto perked his head slightly, noticing the Lich move closer to the two as Kassava was next to heal. He barely turned his eyes to look as the healing process began, his own eyes shifting to the side and looking at his exposed arms.

Why did the power leave me when I needed it most...

===============

Whis moved casually towards the floating door at the end of the arena, having already inserted the single key in the lock. He twisted it to the right, the door swinging open once more with a blinding white light.

"I leave the key in the door for the others to come back when they finish their training. We should rest up as best we can, today was quite the experience."

Demi-Fiend exited out of the arena, with Cuki still on his shoulders. "Man, who knew that such a boring battle would kick up an appetite?" He rubbed his belly as he entered Cuki's apartment. He looked around, trying to find Cuki's room, but none could be found. "Looks like she doesn't have a room or something. Well, this would do then." Demi-Fiend tossed the fallen warrior on the sofa.

"Well, that job is done. The healers will take care of the rest. Now I just have to clean up this place." Demi-Fiend noticed that the apartment was still destroyed from the dodgeball game, seemingly taking a bit longer to reform itself. He was hoping it would fix itself up once the first day of training ended, but it seems he had no choice.

"I'll be over there. Holler when I'm needed, but don't break your backs over it if I don't respond immediately." Demi-Fiend walked off to the hallways.

=========

Spina's body twitched a bit, after being heal by Lich prior; however, from the devastating blows from Raune's attacks, he'd still immobile.
