"Nope!" the voice responded to Whis' question. "I'm very bad at impressions. Lich, this isn't one of your little tricks, eh?" the voice joked.

=======

"That would be a wise decision. My concerns shouldn't be yours." Spina responded. "If you're looking for something that would peak your interests, I recommend checking into that apartment complex. There are tons of things that you can lend a chance too."

Vegetto leaned back slightly, his arms crossed in front of his bare chest.

"This thing is starting to get really annoying."

Kassava peered up as well, frowning.

"Huh...do I really sound like that?"

Whis, however, leaned forward, scooping up the small doll in his hands. He narrowed his eyes, examining the doll and lightly poking it with a finger.

After a while or so Cui decided to leave the room in order to make dinner for the group. She glanced to the others and thought about what she could make for dinner. The thought troubled her until she began to pull out ingredients from the fridge and chop up vegetables. She knew the dinner would have to be even bigger with the addition of more saiyans and other beings. She looked at the clock and sighed.

As Cuki began to boil water, heat the stove, and properly prepare her ingredients, her marvelous cooking show began. The way she cooked resembled that of a chef someone would see on TV and it was even more efficient thanks to the amazing use of her tail. She dunked some pasta in a pot with one hand, seasoned some meat with another, and chopped more vegetables with her tail. She popped a few items in the oven and added the vegetables to a hot pan and began to make some stir-fry.

With more and more food added, the smell of her wonderful cooking would engulf the room. The stir-fry was added rice and eggs along with finely chopped meat and few spices.

"Alright guys, eat it while it's hot!" Cuki called out to everyone in the house. "More on the way so eat it before it's gone!"

Cuki placed a large amount of fried rice, seasoned pasta, vegetables, meatballs, tomato sauce, ribs, and pork on the counter. She did not finish because there were so many people and continued to cook for. From the earlier chat with Vegetto, it was clear that Cuki wasn't going to speak to him any time soon. She would simply ignore him and focus on her own priorities.

He certainly has the brain of a monkey...

The doll remained motionless in Whis's hands and simply looked like any ordinary rag doll.

"A clue!" The mysterious voice imitated Whis. "The culprit is mostly active at night! Not many people can find me at night! Can yooooou~? Heehee!" From that point, it didn't speak again.

The lich says "I think Whis has a new friend." The lich shuts the book he was reading and starts to help Cuki cook.

"What a strange voice!" the voice said. "It wasn't me! I can't afford to make any good impressions. Besides... being the voice is my gimmick! Hopefully, that's the last of it for now... until nighttime strikes, according to that mysterious voice." the voice turned to Whis who held the doll in his hands, curious about the object.

"I wonder if it can copy my magnificent voice?" he praised himself a bit too high. "Anyways, you folks need to eat! Maybe we can learn a thing or two from one another before these trials begin."

"I don't think I would be able to handle two different annoying voices in my ears at all times. Oh well. It isn't like I get any sleep anyway." Bernkastel muttered. She squinted her eyes at the strange doll in Whis's hands before floating off to the kitchen, not wanting to fiddle with it any longer. Despite how cutesy the doll looked, it felt like she couldn't look at it directly for more than a few seconds without feeling like it was staring back into her eyes.

Bern poked her head into the kitchen seeing the giant piles of food. "Oh my. You certainly cooked up an even bigger storm than this morning. Looks like your hands are back to working order if you managed all this." She wasn't used to being surrounded by a big group of people, so she wasn't very outgoing in her interactions. "Full of vim and vigor I see..." She didn't waste her chance to get first dibs on the food, picking up the cuts of meat first before anyone else were to touch it and ruin her finicky palate. A few light foods on the side and her plate was already heaping full as she sat down to enjoy it. All that would top it off for her would be her favorite drink. "Have you any sake in that strange refrigerator?"

Whis' eyes narrowed even more at the response, confirming his suspicion and setting the doll down on the table.

"Whatever is behind this strange voice appears to be connected with this doll."

Vegetto grunted in annoyance, raising his right arm.

"Then let's get rid of it. One less gateway for another abomination to mess with me here."

He recoiled rapidly, Kassava's slap on his wrist prompting a small yelp from the dual voiced fusion as he turned his head to her. Kassava kept a small scowl, pulling her own hand back.

"Can you just calm down for once? What the hell is wrong with you?"

Vegetto narrowed his eyes, meeting Kassava's as she shook her head.

"Why would you blow up the only clue we have about whatever this...thing is?"

Her head lifted, both watching as Cuki made her way into the kitchen with wide eyes. They prepared for any reaction from her, but after she left in completely ignoring them, Kassava pulled Vegetto up by the arm once the call for dinner was made.

==============================

Kassava and Vegetto entered the kitchen first, finding their own seats and filling their plates. They both continued to dodge looking at Cuki, more in Kassava focusing on eating while Vegetto glanced away with a small scowl. Whis entered in after the two, peering at the ribs with a wide eyed expression. His smile returning, fawning over the scent with a happy grin.

"Oh my...this dish smells absolutely wonderful!"

He raised a brow, however, picking up a small rack in a fork after repeatedly failing to pierce the bone inside three times, before finding a small portion of meat to dig the metal in.

"Curious...why are the bones still inside? Surely you don't eat them with the meat as well?"

Vegetto only sat at the table, his scowl to the side on the floor while Kassava kept her eyes lightly shut, smiling as she chewed her food with a closed mouth. Her elbow shot out, poking Vegetto in the side suddenly, prompting the fusion to lift his head and glance at her. He paused, knowing what her jab meant, and let out a heavy sigh, his narrowed eyes turning up to Cuki.

"Cuki...please. I want to apologize for earlier...and I didn't say those things you heard. I wanted to say I'm sorry for my behavior on my own, not because Kass was making me."

Listening Bernkastel's request, Cuki turned around and allowed her tail to continue moving the stir-fry on the pan. She moved to the refrigerator and looked through her supplies, trying to find any sake for the witch.

"Sake... sake.." Cuki spoke silently until pulling out a small bottle of sake and even the traditional cups that it is drank from. She gently poured a generous amount for Bernkastel. "Hope you like it Kettles, try not to get drunk off this stuff."

Cuki returned to the hot stove and continued to serve freshly cooked food and add more ingredients to begin cooking again. Her attention shifted slightly to Whis and his comment on her cooking. Her cheeks turned red from the slight praise.

"Thank you Mr. Whis. And no, you don't eat the bone, just the meat. But go on, dig in!" Cuki said while placing another large bowl of rice on the counter followed by more pork and even some chicken wings. "There is enough food to feed even the Say-Yams."

As Cuki went on to continue her cooking, she overheard Vegetto's voice speaking to her. She didn't face his direction when he spoke and only listened silently to his apology. A sigh forced itself out of her mouth and she shook her head slightly. It looked as if she was fighting her own words but when she turned around to chop some vegetables she spoke with an annoyed tone.

"Listen Cactus-Head, I know you're new here but you need to learn to take it easy and give people a bit of a chance." Cuki scoffed slightly, still upset about earlier but somewhat accepting. "You were willing to kill me and Spina just to get an upper hand with that Doombot and it didn't even get you anywhere. At least you got your wife to put some sense into you. If she can see the nice and kind heart in you then I can too. But don't think you're off the hook, I'm giving you one last chance to redeem yourself." Cuki's eyes trailed to the floor slightly and she bit her lip. "Don't forget that..."

========

As the entire group entered the kitchen and began to eat, the doll slowly crawled away and disappeared from the table she was set on. It crawled under the sofa, away from everyone's view.
