"Why of course~!" Gorecilia cheered. "I believe my large frame will be at least somewhat intimidating to the smaller and weaker ghouls. It should buy you some time. While you all heal up, I'll play with the corpses of any unfortunate ghoul who tries to follow you."

Gorecilia seemed a bit too happy about paying with corpses. She fidgeted around her bag to pull out a spool of her own silk and the same bone needles she used and began to knit. She smiled brightly to the group.

"Don't worry I'll stick close."

Exaclik listens through the conversations between Lord Belmont, Vala and Gorecilia and sparked up a question in his head. Although he was in no condition to speak, he asked the Lord himself. "H-hey, if she was looking to revive your grandfather... why did she kidnap you in the first place? Unless there's something that she can't do that only you can?"

"I'm not in the same league of might as my grandfather. She must have mistaken me for being a formidable opponent because of the fact Grandpa Simon's blood runs in me and tried to kill me off by sending minions as a precaution," Lord Belmont answered Excalik. "I can imagine an empty manor is best. Seems she waited for me to leave town before intruding."

"The witch did say something about turning this place into her own base to carry out her plans." Vala explained everything the necromancer had told the group before he arrived. "She probably only now figured out you aren't useful to her in the long run. Reanimating corpses must be far easier to use for what she's trying to achieve. They're just husks."

"Goodness... I know I definitely can't aid any of you in that upcoming battle. But I'm still one of the big fish here, I have to take care of the townspeople and my employees. I hope they all made it out safely." Lord Belmont looked saddened by the thought any of the servants ended up perishing due to his powerlessness. "So... when we get to town, and get you all patched up, that is where we part for the time being. There's plenty of humans to evacuate to the only safe place we have." They approached the desolate courtyard, with the rain still drizzling over them.

Allein looked up for the moment and said cryptically "The sky mourns a loss."

Gorecilia trailed closely behind the group, knitting away what looked to be the same tiny shirt she was making before she encounter Belmont. The shirt instantly reminded her of the boy she was looking for and she was worried about his safety.

"I wonder..." Gorecilia looked over to Vala and the others and pondered a question. "Excuse me, by any chance have you seen a little boy with ram-like horns on his head? He's quite the troublemaker and he's also got a rather big mouth... literally and figuratively."

"I.. I see." Excalik said. "That person... she seems to be quite a monster... can we even fight something like that despite being our second mission?" Excalik thought to himself. After a moment of pause, he began to speak again. "Then we definitely need to rest. Anything to heal my wounds like these? I can't really move my legs since I overexert myself and took too much damage."

"Thanks.. uh... G-gold right?" Excalik asked. He began to move his arms up and down.

"Not at all," Vala answered Gorecilia. "Everything around here's tried to kill us."

"There should be plenty of supplies with Sister Mary." Lord Belmont stood before the center fountain in the courtyard, kneeling down to step on the bricks lining it in a certain pattern before stepping back. In the span of half a minute, the fountain had lifted to reveal the hidden passage. "Alright, enter quickly." The passage was rather dark, so Vala tapped the crystal in her staff as she descended the stone stairwell to get it to illuminate the tunnel.
