The blast appeared to strike the vampiress directly inthe forehead, collapsing to the floor.
... before proceeding to dissolve into nothing more than smoke.
"While you had your little monologue, I took it upon myself to set up my next move. At this rate things will be boring! My poor bats are all out of commission, so it looks like we are down one to one." She said bluntly. "Long range versus long range is too boring too! What's in that sword of yours? If you lose, can I have it?" The vampire fired another series of arrows towards Allein.
"You won't last long if you just use up all that energy so quickly in the dark you know. Never fought a swordswoman before!"
Heavy rain could be heard outside as thunder began rolling its rumbling throughout the Falls, lightning flashing.
"Ah, what poor timing. I guess I can't hide in the dark as well. Oh well!" The vampire swiped her other wing over herself, disspating into a dark mist.
"Makes it all the more fun." Her voice came in close behind Allein's ear before echoing again. It seemed she was forced to fly low to the floor due to the injured wing.

The ghouls attempted to fight back using their knock off pencils, but were only defeated by Gold's attacks. Several remained clustered around the Z-Clone jabbing their pencils out at her and hissing loudly.

"Ivan did say he sealed this estate off. Anyone else left in here before that must be..." Vala stopped once she reached the top of the stairs. "Dead."
She didn't move from her spot, a pungent stench of copper wafting through the floor. Lightning flashed theough the windows.
"Uu!" The wisp shivered again, covering its eyes.

"If any more beasts come, a shame my mostly defensive Paladin form seems best at dispatching them. They would resist my Death Knight form's dark magics, and my Vengeance form would burn this manor down."

Allein said "My sword is made of my blood. Kill me and it disappears. I lose the sword, I lose control of myself and destroy everything in sight. You won't win anyway, vampire." She picked up her sword and let her emotions fade from her face and gained a calm mind. She said "Fall into the shadows." She charged in a swift motion, showing how the sword was light to her, despite its bulky appearance.

The Z-Clone was obviously angry at this point and held out her hands in opposite directions. An invisible force pushed the ghouls away a few feet from the clone. The Z-Clone floated in the air and continued to push away at the ghouls, specifically the ones holding her pencil.

"Pray tell, how will you win with an opponent who is one with the dark?" Inquired the vampire. "I'll leave you with nothing!" Her figure was visible with the flash of lightning, although Allein could see her throw several daggers in that brief moment before the hall became dark again.

"If he suffered a fate like these servants, then where would his body be? Did those monsters dispose of it already?" Vala asked, poking one of the slain servants with the end of her staff to watch the arm flop back down to the floor lifelessly.
"They look like a animal chewed them up or something."

The Z-Clone casually floated to her pencil and picked it up. She floated back to Gold and perched herself on his shoulder while swinging away at any ghouls who attempted to him them both.
