"Ow!" The vampire covered her ears and significantly dropped in altitude from her height in midair since her left wing had been damaged. Her bat friends mostly fell to the floor squealing in pain or were launched backwards, while the ones that remained out of the way of the grenade began flying towards the both of them to attack. 

"Ugh! You little pests!" She held her hands out as they glowed red. Red magic circles formed in various parts of the hall, which glowed brightly and fired red light arrows at the both of them. "I won't go down without a fight!"

Vala stopped in her tracks and look in the direction the boom came from, the little wisp hiding in Excalik's clothes in fear. 

"Uu!" It shivered. 

"I really hope we don't have to pay for any damages..." Vala muttered. "Let's just keep moving."

Now with the beast having been vanquished, the strange "shadows" formed some strange figures with white dots for eyes. Their long spindly limbs reached for the Z-Clone. 

"Hissssssss!"
 
Arlen, not seeing Allein moving, tackled her out of the way of harm. However, in doing so, he took an arrow to his right heel, making him lose usage of his right foot as a tendon was severed.

"The things I do for people... Arlen thought as he but his lip in pain. He aimed his M4 at the vampire and started shooting at her, using the floor as a support.
 
"What madness rushes to me~?!" Z-Clone tried her best to move out of the way but she had to throw her pencil in the way of the limbs rushing at her. "A-Ah~! My OmniPencil~! It's my favorite...~"

She didn't need her pencil for magic but she did need it for spear fighting. She floated back and away from the beast in case it might lash out another attack. A piece of her really wanted to get her pencil back so she mindlessly rushed to the beast, aiming to get her lovely pencil back.

"Looks like something spook the little one.." Excalik noticed it shivered. "Right.." He followed.
 
Allein saw this and felt rage build inside her. She then said "Thank you for saving me. Now stay here and rest ok?" She got up and moved forwards toward the vampire. She said "Do you realize what kind of demon i am, vampire? Im a demon of anger and wrath. You, just made me angry. You best say something, for those will be the words of your last as i take your last pitiful breath from this plane."
 
The vampire snorted with a smirk, even if her flight had been impaired from the grenade. "Ooh, seems I've struck a nerve? Whatever demon you are, it's all the same to me. You're just sitting ducks now, so why not accept it and die quietly?" 

She grinned mischieviously, snickering. "If you choose to keep going, then I'll make sure one of us goes out with a BANG!" The vampiress extended her hands out as she emitted a strange aura of energy about her. "I'm sure you wouldn't want a boring showdown either!"

The strange ghouls mimicked the Z-Clone, babbling something in a garbled language while pointing at her and Gold with her own Pencil like spears, looking like sinister versions of her; though they only copied most of the appearance and gesture, it would be impossible for the moment to tell what else they could do.

Soon, Excalik and Vala came to a set of stairs, looking to go up the second floor. "I'm guessing this is where the bedrooms and studies would be... only one way to go." Vala said, taking steps up the staircase.

Excalik nodded his head. He turns to the little wisp, to see if it's okay. "You know, it feels kind of strange that we haven't met anyone, aside from this little guy here."
 
Allein sighed and focused a small blast in her finger and aimed it right at the vampires head. "Die. Demon blast, gun version." She then fired the blast at a rapid speed.
 
"Give me back my pencil you naughty monsters~ I rather not pry it from your lifeless hands~"

The Z-Clone stayed where she was and only held out her tiny mitten hand, wishing to get her pencil back. She kept cautious around the enemy nonetheless. Her eyebrow rose when she noticed that they mimicked her. The clone looked somewhat amused.

"My, My~! You aim to use my weapon against me~? I assure you, you will fail~"
