Z-Clone escaped the jar she was hidden in and moved up to a higher location. Her glow illuminated a small part of the basement they were in but she hurried up in gathering her energy. She was about half-way done.

"The beast sounds rather large, be careful, Sir Gold~"
 
Allein looked back and said "Kid, how fast can you move?"

Excalik followed suit. "I'm beginning to have a bad feeling about this..." He thought. "What the heck is it doing..?" Excalik went to try to get up and personal with the little wisp, in order to examine it better.
 
The strange beast snarled before lunging directly at Gold, attacking for his side.

A couple of daggers whizzed through the air as did the flapping of wings around Arlen and Allein.

"Think fast~!" The girl's voice echoed throughout the hall. "I won't give you time for a light."

"Uu?" The wisp cooed and floated further away from Excalik as he advanced towards it.

"You'll scare it away." Vala warned.
 
Gold sighed generating his divine shield to protect himself, before swinging the hammer down on the mutt. If he missed, there was going to be a big dent in the floor.

"In the Light's name, wreak havoc!"
 
"Fast? Probably not nearly as fast as--" Arlen was interrupted by the strange girl, one of the daggers hitting his M4. "Shit! Too close!" He scanned his surroundings, the flashlight illuminating the area in front of the carbine.

"Ah, sorry.." Excalik distance himself away from the wisp. "Though.. did you hear that? It made a sound.."
 
Allein said "Get as far back as you can." She blocked the dagger with her arm and then ripped it out before channelling her demonic energy.
 
Z-Clone charged up enough energy to try and help out Gold. She stopped glowing and held out her large Orange OmniPencil. She attempted to rush to Gold's side as fast as she could to aid him and hopefully, have a...whack at whatever was attacking them.

"Foul Beast, beware of my Pencil~!"
 
"Aaw, what's the matter? Don't you wanna have some fun!?" She giggled while the bats began squealing and flying at the two in order to disorient them.

"What about it?" Vala asked. 

The wisp simply looked between them and continued floating towards the doorway that would lead them to the next room. "Uu..."

The beast was hit and collapsed to he floor, but dissipated as the snarling continued from behind Z and Gold. It appeared able to either clone itself or create illusions of itself. As the beast attacked again from behind them it opened its muzzle full of sharp and jagged teeth, intending to bite Gold, or at least Z if she was close enough.
