The Reality Vortex: The Black Rose

Victor smirks pointing behind him as the scarecrows activate taking any wounds that would crippler or kill his allies on them self's. As for victor because of luck nothing hit him (I been reverencing a white cat all this time). The seed starts to speed up its efforts to help his allies in recovery.

Victor says, "Don't know if what I did long ago counts as a Miracle." Victor summons a shield bearer to help Whis and says, "I think this little guy shood help pick up the slack." The Shield Bearer helps Whis to block. Victor says "If you what to retreat get on the carpet." It grown in order to a connate his allies.

Brachi grunted as she was grabbed by the neck, just glaring at Vegetto Black even though she did power down when she noted the incoming punch., Before the punch could land however, an enormous pink arm and and shot up from underneath and grabbed Vegetto Black tightly in order to make him release his hold on Brachi, before moving to slam him down on the ground several times before moving him about over the ground as if literally 'wiping the floor' with him, before smacking him up against the nearby wall, releasing its hold on him.

As Brachi fell to the ground from this sudden attack, the enormous pink hand just gently caught her, before reforming itself back into Majin Bara who had her Beast form active now.
"Let him ramble the way he does, he does not know you the way we do, nor will he ever know you that way..." Bara said, with Brachi nodding as she momentarily coughed to regain her breath, just as a tiny yellow sphere of electrically charged energy entered both Brachi and Bara, which didn't harm them, but did give a brief momentary glow of yellow energy around them before it dissipated.

This was Dielec's doing who in turn was ready to strike against the hostile Bernkastel, but has granted herself as well as Brachi and Bara a defensive countermeasure that would repel any hostile coming in close contact with them as they'd get a powerful electric shock if they'd try to grab, punch or kick them.

Saluting at Avalon's instructions, Coella stuck herself to Asher's side, but hesitated a bit at the order to retreat. Still, she was fully prepared to retrieve Zenta. It wasn't until Damian warned her and the others in the group of the "Misfortune" that Coella was completely silent. Any ruckus that was happening around her seemed to slow down. The arrival of Vegetto, the Breakers' pleas to run away, and even Brachi's battle got no reaction from her. She was too distracted replaying memories from the tournament in her head.

"None can surpass a creator god! You'd best withdraw now! There's no CHANCE you're going to secure this victory."

"I'd much rather defeat you instead; that is much more satisfactory."

"Can't you hear it? The sound of my victory?"

It wasn't until Bernkastel collapsed in front of the group that she finally reacted.

"We're 'doomed'... If she's around? The Witch of... Misfortune..." Coella muttered, parroting Damien's warning. The rabbit witch's hat covered her eyes. The witch suddenly poofed, leaving puffs of fur in her place and disappearing from Asher's side.

Another poof and she was now floating high into the air above the battle, scanning the field.

"All hope is lost if we face this Witch of Misfortune, as good as coined! Fighting her is impossible. Everything the Breakers try to accomplish will be snuffed out for good if we stay and keep fighting. Defeat is certain. I had no idea the Breakers had little rabbit instincts telling them to run, run, run! Everyone's so certain of the outcome! I can't blame them, of course. Misfortune is the antithesis of Luck!! Two sides of the same coin. Where good luck goes, bad luck follows, and vice versa! When one wins, the other must lose. Such is life!"

The witch's hat rose to reveal two lucky number sevens in her eyes. In the middle of her forehead, a slit began to open revealing another eye with a big red seven in the iris.

"But Absolute Misfortune versus Absolute Luck?" Coella giggled, grinning ear to ear. "Now that's one hell of a gamble I can't afford to pass up."

The Lucky witch began falling from the sky as her broom whisked itself from under Coella and over her shoulder. The broom poofed and changed its form into a massive gold sniper rifle. With a twirl of the gun, Coella shut her left eye to look through the scope with the right. In the crosshairs, she had the Witch of Misfortune in her sights. But slowly she turned the aim to the Spina, whose forehead conveniently lined up with her shot.

"I'm going all in with this bet! Best of luck to you, my Champion Spinny~! Jack Rabbit Jackpot!" And with that, she pulled the trigger, the speeding bullet with rabbit ears shot through the sky at light speed, striking the older Saiyan and leaving a hole smack dab in the middle of his forehead.

A splitting headache began ringing in Spina's head, and all he could hear was the sound of coins rattling around his brain. Immediately, the Sayian's eyes began spinning rapidly like a couple of slot machine reels. First, his right eye halted abruptly with a bright red 'seven' in Spina's pupil, and then followed his right eye with the same number. But there was still a faint spinning noise coming from the bullet hole on his forehead. The soft spinning began growing louder as the hole split itself open vertically, revealing a third eye spinning and finally landing with a 'clunk' on the final lucky number seven. Spina's head blasted out a congratulatory siren, bells and whistles ringing loudly from his ears.

Coella smiled weakly, feeling utterly exhausted as she continued falling from the sky. She tried using her broom as it transformed back to ease her landing, but even with that, she still hit the ground hard near Asher and the others. Her body was getting cut by the nails and candy bullet shrapnel as she lay unprotected.

Unknown to all, and unable to be detected by anyone, a figure was eyeing the battle unfolding below. Their figure was made of two separate halves; one half was deep red, filled with black spikes on the back, while the other half was sky blue, filled with white spikes.

“To think she’d able to pull it off… my baby is growing at an exponential rate.” They sang praises over Sinister Bernkastel’s performance. “I would be quite embarrassed to see a contender of Clear Mind fall so quickly.” They turned to the left, but none was there. “Come now, Guardian. Don’t tell me that you’re so frustrated that you won’t even show your face?”

“Don’t get all confident just because your little toy got lucky, Growth.” Parts of Brutality appeared next to them.

“Insult my baby won’t change the outcome. Thanks to your little pet, she was able to execute a Clear Mind counter perfectly. Soon, he and the rest of the Breakers will fall. And you—” Growth pointed their finger at them. “You will have to admit that they are Bonafide lifeforms!”

“Heh. Pay attention, my dear sister. This is where the fun begins.” Brutality vanished into nothingness.

=====

“This is crazy! What the heck is happening!” Daiman cried out, but his soft voice was getting drowned out by the explosion attacks from the doppelgangers. “Imaginary Technique! Super Barrier!” He generated a barrier around Whis and Victor to provide extra protection against the incoming attacks. He expanded it further, to cover Coella and the others. “Ugh… my head is splitting!” The barrier won’t last for long, so Daiman eyed Victor’s carpet as a means to escape. “I-I can help, Victor! Imaginary Technique—”

Spina’s eyes narrowed upon Bernkastel collapsing within an instant after her high-pitched screams. Due to the excessive amount of blood loss, his regeneration capabilities were starting to stagger. As his vision darkens, the words from Sinister were piercing through his thoughts. The notation of “failure” was clearly the most damaging aspect that struck the old Saiyan.

Just moments before his vision went completely dark, his head whipped back after being shot by Coella. The slots in his eyes shift until it reaches the jackpot numbers: 777.

The Rabbit Witch had transferred her luck onto the old Saiyan, causing him to regain consciousness. Like a raging river, Spina weaved his right arm around and struck Sinister in the face, breaking free from her hardened gripe. Needed a moment to steady himself, he started to laugh.

“That’s it?” Spina scolded her. “All that and this is the best you can muster. Simple party tricks?” He let out a hoarse roar as his aura flourished around him. He started to transform, starting with his “Perfect State” before pushing it to Super Saiyan 4. The golden aura flashes into crimson red, before immediately turning into pure black.

“I am a failure! A true fault to existence! A waste of life! I should’ve never been born! But that’s what fuels me! That’s what drives me! That’s what makes me live and breathe!” Dark Energy have exploded from the man, spreading its aura across the entire Beach City. The amount of Dark Energy forming had caused abilities from everyone to shut down: no regeneration, no teleportation, no techniques. Only those with Dark Energy remained unaffected.

Daiman realized that his powers were not working properly, and Victor’s carpet vanished. “H-huh?!”

Spina roared once more as the aura around him became intense. “But you?! You’re a failure because you have nothing! What have you experienced? What have you gone through?! Nothing! I can tell! Don’t dare compare your fake problems onto me! Problems that someone gave you! Until you face true pain, you and I are worlds apart, you damn fake!”

Taking a quick stance. “Flow Strike: Water Fist x Instant Slayer!” An instantaneous rapid-fire punches erupted from the Saiyan, slamming onto Sinister and Vegetto-Black. Each of them had the impact of hundreds of hypernovas exploding at once.

“I don’t give a damn how powerful you two are… none of that matters to me. Defeated Bernkastel? So what? She’ll bounce back. The Breakers? This is just a Tuesday for them. Defeated that useless angel? I could care less. He means nothing to me. None of that means a damn thing without meaning behind it.” Spina cracked a smile. “But since that bastard is here, out the kindness of my heart, I’ll give you something to start with and you can take it from there, fake.”

He walked towards the barrier, ignoring the falling debris that showered the area. He pulled Whis out of the barrier by the barrier and lifted him off the ground. “Show me what you made of, once I robbed something from you!” Facing Sinister and Black, Spina immediately tossed the angel towards the air and raised his hand at him. “Begone!” A spiral of light particles formed around Whis, creating such a devastating, destructive attack that not only engulfed him, but light up the sky with explosions. “Consider this a gift to give you the taste of actual failure!”

Victor lands on his butt and thinks as he sees all his summons vanished "It seems that we locked out our abilities."

Victor gets up on his feet and says, "I gest we have little choice but to fight without our anything." Victor seems unphased and thinks "Just another oddity in the vertex."

As Vegetto Black's fist sailed towards Brachi, the doppelganger paid little attention to the pink goo wrapping around his forearm. His strength far surpassed Bara's, however, and despite the Majin's best efforts, the fist still connected strongly into Brachi's cheek and stretched Bara's tentacle.

However, the strike itself caused little physical damage to the fused woman, and Vegetto Black's eyebrows raised ever so slightly in surprise. Not of the attack failing, but at Brachi reacting the way she did as the black energy dissipated away from his fist. His smirk only raised a bit however, looking over Brachi in amusement.

"Interesting. You're not as stupid as I thought..."

Vegetto Black, however, audibly grunted once Majin Bara had yanked him fully away this time, slinging the doppelganger around by force against the ground. He grunted as the Majin slammed him finally into a nearby wall, falling to the ground on his rear with an audible thud as concrete cascaded down onto him. Vegetto Black sat motionless for a few seconds, yet soon swiped and smacked the debris around him away and rose back to his feet.

He stood tall, preparing to face off against the duo that had successfully counter attacked him. Yet once his black, ominous eyes locked onto Majin Bara and saw her transformation, Vegetto Black chuckled audibly to himself, finishing his first statement and having a change of heart once he saw her use such a powerful form.

"...but perhaps, I was wrong."

Vegetto Black did not have time to launch forward, however, as his entire aura and transformation dissipated in an instant from Spina's flourishing of Dark Energy. His eyes briefly lifted, a bit of concern in his expression but not nearly the same shock and surprise that Vegetto and Cayde both showed as they were forced back to their base selves. Both blinking in confusion, Vegetto audibly confused.

"What the hell is this?!"

However, as Vegetto Black looked on at the others in recognizing what happened, Whis also looked up. The angel's frown deepened, and he shared the same concerned but unsurprised expression as Vegetto Black; both looking towards the source that was Spina. A tantrum of this magnitude was not new to those two, both familiar with the effects of Dark Energy's dominating presence when fully unleashed.

And so, as Spina launched his attack on the duo, Vegetto Black quickly braced himself with his arms. His grimace deepened more than it ever had before from the attack; the technique inflicting extensive damage that completely dwarfed any of the other Breakers' attempts to hurt him. Pushing him back further along the ground, he eventually slid to a halt with Sinister Bernkastel at his side; the Red Witch no doubt having protected herself with her own Dark Energy and having faired better in resisting the attack than Vegetto Black. Yet the doppelganger stood tall and recovered; the physical might of his body still strong while he watched Spina hoist Whis into the air next with a raised eyebrow in genuine surprise for the first time.

Whis gasped, unable to resist Spina's sudden forceful lifting of the angel and tossing him high into the air. The angel had not recovered well since the beginning of the battle, and now with the Dark Energy completing snuffing out his capability to defend himself, Whis shut his eyes and accepted the devasting energy that suddenly unleashed upon him without a sound or word. The explosion rocked the ground entirely from its destructive force, and from the smoke cloud hanging above, the resulting effect of Spina's attack was made clear.

Whis' charred body parts rained down along side his blood, sickening thumps of the meat slamming into the surface and ringing out in near dozens of split pieces. Yet despite the gruesome carnage left in the wake of Spina's attack, Whis' life energy could still be sensed from every single piece that had crashed into the ground. The angel was not dead, surprisingly far from the brink of death despite his body completely mangled beyond a normal person's ability to recover. But Whis' body parts lay comatose on the floor, unresponsive and unmoving.

Vegetto was the first to audibly yell, his wide eyes of both shock and rage turning immediately onto Spina.

"What have you done?!"

Yet the Potara fusion did not move from his spot; how could he? Without his transformations or abilities to fight Spina, he knew he could not charge the older Saiyan or try to subdue Spina. Cayde watched on in silence as well, unsure of how to react now that Spina had attacked an ally directly.

Premonition of Finality (All can perceive)

Across the way, however, Cayde eyed the sight of the duo, specifically onto Vegetto Black. The doppelganger had barely moved for a moment in his stance, but once again, a strange and foreboding atmosphere built up. Vegetto Black's eyes were completely hallowed out once again, trails of a strangle black liquid seeping down from the sockets.

The doppelganger moved like a puppet on a string, walking around and up from behind Sinister Bernkastel. He knelt down slowly, an unnerving but calming presence in the air building while he gently reached up with both hands, lightly grasping onto the Red Witch's shoulders. Like a proud father reassuring his daughter, Vegetto Black leaned closer to her ear, and spoke in a voice that was clearly not his own. A voice that, somehow, seemed to reach your ears despite being nearly a whisper in the ear of the Red Witch.

"Look at him. So confused...to find meaning in his pain."

The creepy voice of the man continued, a strange sensation of calming yet still unnatural and daunting in how it resonated within you.

"Only purpose can cure his heart...and he believes that capacity for pain...for suffering...is his purpose. It's why he subjects himself so completely to this battle...because he believes he is resisting the poison of life. An escape from unending servitude...to an existence that has no purpose. We deny this pain...we are above such irrelevancies..."

The hallow darkness for eye sockets still bore into you, a knowing smirk building upon the face of the doppelganger as if he were speaking directly to you.

"We are not bound by logic. We...define its shape. We offer salvation from this...futile struggle..."

Once more, the premonition revealed itself to merely be an illusion. Vegetto Black stood at Sinister Bernkastel's side now; completely normal and battle damaged from Spina's attack instead of kneeling behind the Red Witch; as if he had never moved from his spot. He stood with a small chuckle, his eyes turning down to Sinister Bernkastel with a confident smirk in spite of the immense damage wearing on him from Spina's attack.

"The dog has lost his mind, he's so rabid that he's attacking his allies and doing our work for us."

His smirk widened slightly, devilishly looking back to Spina.

"I think it's time we wrap this up...now that the biggest threats are out of the way. Start by putting down the loudest one (Spina), won't you?"

“Ahh! Bunni!” Asher gasped, rushing to Coella’s side and shook her shoulders to try to make her come back to her senses. “Bunni! Hey!”

However, as the nails and other shrapnel began to fall over him and Coella, Asher huffed and used his Ruyi Bang to deflect any oncoming debris. His rainbow eyes widen upon seeing the massive creature with mangled arms and weapons. His heart raced, being somewhat frightened by such an anomaly. Asher felt his breath get caught in his throat, a cold sweat running down his neck, and the hair all over his body standing up on ends.

What… is that?

Then, without warning, Ruyi Bang began to vibrate and shrink down to its normal size. Asher felt weaker and tired, until he realized he was not able to use his energy efficiently. Ruyi Bang no longer listened to Asher and he could not use any of his palm techniques.

“Hey, what the—?!” Asher realized that debris and more shrapnel began to pour in his direction. He hoisted Coella as fast as he could over his shoulder, making a dash towards Avalon. “Avalon! Avalon, what’s going on?! I can’t use my powers!”

Avalon desperately tried to make another set of handsigns to back up Brachi in her fight with Vegetto Black. All he could really do was drop smoke bombs, flash bombs, and another clone, but Vegetto Black would simply brush past it all with minimal effort.

Damnit, there isn’t much I can do to get Vegetto Black off our tail… This isn’t good. Avalon flew circles above the battle between Vegetto Black and Brachi. With Zenta and Bernkastel down, we stand no chance…!

As Avalon was deep in thought, he felt an odd shift in the air, and, suddenly, his paper falcon began burning up in a black flame, screeching until its body completely disintegrated. With the paper bird gone, Avalon fell from the sky and onto the floor with a loud and rough thud. The ninja coughed; his body having almost made a crater from the impact. With a shaky groan, he lifted his head to see that he crash landed next to Vegetto and Cayde. However, he hardly had time to say anything when he heard the massive explosion and splatter of Whis’s charred body parts.

“What the hell?! S-Spina…! What are you doing?!”

Avalon’s mind raced a million miles an hour, unable to process the chaos happening all at once. He rushed to his feet, trying to perform some hand signs, but nothing came out of it, no presence of his energy anywhere within him. Even Seilong’s voice was quieter than usual.

“What the…? I can’t use my energy!” Avalon tried again to summon a clone, but nothing came out. He glanced at his scroll, the ‘divine’ energy that usually radiated from it now a dull hue. “Oh no…”

This isn’t happening, this can’t be happening…! Has Spina lost his damn mind?! Avalon felt his breaths getting heavier. Why can’t we use our powers?!

Sinister Bernkastel glowered at Spina, eyes narrowing suspiciously as the mysterious noise coming from his head started to grow louder until a sudden eruption jolted his whole body back to life out of her grasp. She began to take several steps backwards, her eyes landing on the lucky numbers with the telltale sound. With a gasp, the Red Witch's eyes widened as the realization set in. The rabbit!!

Sinister Bernkastel grit her teeth and leaped back to get away from Spina. She reacted far too late to put herself out of reach, with Spina's first round of punches landing their mark, resorting to bracing for impact through the flurry of punches as he pushed her back more and more until she collided with her ally. The innumerable amount of explosions immobilized her even with focusing as much of her energy into her vessel, letting out a frustrated cry by fruitlessly trying to return the blows yet it only amounted to a crushing of her knuckles. Sinister Bernkastel was furious with smoke pouring out of her mouth as Spina left them to crumple down to the floor, glaring daggers at Vegetto Black by her side, but still relieved to see he was able to withstand the barrage.

The Red Witch's attention turned, along with everyone else, to Spina forcibly taking Whis.... and subsequently obliterating him in midair.
Mooli was already pale and in panic from the chaos that just erupted from both the Dark Energy users' tantrums, immediately shoving Daiman between herself and Vegetto to shield him from the sight of Whis's charred remains landing on the ground with a nauseating splatter. "Don't look! He's- He'll be okay. Just don't look." A deep pit in her stomach formed when she felt the familiar hum of her energy flare completely fizzle out -- she still had her physical strength but at this moment, there was no possibility of transmitting anyone out of harm's way. They were all stuck there, and she had no idea what the stranger speaking was really talking about, other than she didn't want to lock eyes with him due to how unsettling the flashes were.

Sinister Bernkastel stood silently with her gaze resting on the still-living remains of the angel, listening intently to the stranger talk her off the ledge. "Yeah. Just a useless dog that can't even finish off the scraps that fell right in front of him." She responded to Vegetto Black, albeit sounding a bit more vacant in its direct address of his question. She could hardly stifle a laugh through her condescending smirk; the distressed cries of the other Breakers, who scuttled around like frenzied insects with torn-off wings amused her greatly.

"As long as you deny your power its purpose, your existence has no meaning. You just don't have enough hate to be a taker. In fact, we don't we see for ourselves?! Lambda, be a dear and tear up this lowlife's worthless little friends into mincemeat right in front of him!" Sinister Bernkastel cackled as she raised her hands at the pile of Whis-parts scattered on the field, glowing with red aura as she prepared to obliterate the fallen angel. "Another failure of yours I have to correct FOR you! Goodbye, worthless teacher! I'll send you a postcard to HELL!"

The nightmarish monstrosity spun its pistol, beginning to fire indiscriminately into the crowd of Breakers once more-- hearing the sound, Mooli pushed Vegetto and Daiman out of the way of a mighty swing of the branched sword. It impaled the ground with a shockwave, buried deep to where the creature struggled to pull it out of the ground for several moments. Mooli, sweating profusely at the rising danger, ran at the Monster named Lambda before diving into a roll past a gap under one of her lowered arms and getting behind her for another chokehold maneuver using her legs to limit movement of Lambda's arms. The ghoulish witch let out a shriek, letting go of the branched sword to try and rip Mooli off of her. She swiped at Mooli's arms, but Mooli would quickly grab onto a different arm or the back of Lambda's head. The other arms were occupied with weapons; dropping them was not an option to carry out Sinister Bernkastel's order.

"Veg--- ack! Get Daiman -- oof! Everyone-- Outta here! Run while you can!"

This charade didn't last more than a minute before Lambda clearly caught on to her antics, letting out a demonic growl as she snatched the Saiyan woman by the leg.

"C̵̠̺̱̊͐͋A̵͔̫͋͝Û̴̩̟Ǵ̷̯̐̇Ḥ̵̺̀̚T̴͙̟̀̅̋ ̴̨̛͎̚Ÿ̴̖͉̰́̕O̵̼̽U̷͈͆̈̈́!̶̡̧̞͆͑͐" The nightmare cackled, aiming the pistol for Mooli's face, which she threw punches at to knock it off course when the trigger was pulled. Each punch let out loud crunching and cracking sounds until Mooli's knuckles were bloodied and the bones misaligned. She wasn't regaining any stamina and could feel herself burning out. Lambda grinned, raising the arm holding the sickled hatchet to start cutting along Mooli's body. The Saiyan woman slammed her hands on either side of the hatchet, yet the monster's strength was enough to still guide the hook of the hatchet and start leaving small, but deep punctures on Mooli's body. Slow and deliberate, like a cat playing with a cornered mouse just like its creator. It was possible to overpower it while it was distracted with torturing Mooli, but the other weapons in its arm were incredibly dangerous to counter only with brute strength. Getting in that close might be easier than escaping its wrath. Mooli was trying her best to endure the cuts and fight off the hatchet from dismembering her, but she was reaching a limit in her resistance. "Get... away from here...."

Avalon lifted his arms to shield him from the dust and debris of the bullets fired from the Lambda monster. His eyes widened with fear, knowing there was nothing he could do. Chaos and mayhem engulfed the area, but, within his head, there was a deafening silence and the drumbeat of his racing heart. Terror flowed through his vein, thick as honey and abundant as ever cell in his body. With Zenta, Bernkastel, and Whis down, Avalon glanced between the three, his hand reaching for Zenta, then Bernkastel, then Whis. It was a subconscious gesture, as if wanting to shake them awake from their slumber.

But it would not happen.

We’re all going to die…

Avalon slowly looked back at Asher and Coella who struggled to shield themselves from the shower of debris and rubble. A stray bullet blasted near the ground by Avalon, sending the ninja flying back to Asher and Coella, the trio crashing on the ground. Even Asher’s strong will, his will to keep fighting against a wall, did not bring Avalon’s spirits up. Avalon simply gave up.

Then, a sound came from outside the barrier of dark energy. A rhythmic bumping noise that grew closer until it was followed by the shattering glass sound of Spina’s barrier breaking. The thumping noise was music blasting from a crimson red car speeding by like a blur. The engine howled loudly, sending vibrations deep into the chests of each person inside the barrier. Each window was tinted a reflective black, hiding the inside.

Despite the mayhem happening, the car drifted expertly and seamlessly between the chaos, almost like a toy moved by the hand of God. The car sped up, swerving past Vegetto Black, kicking up dust in its wake, and where Sinister Bernkastel once stood, were tire tracks followed by an impact. The vehicle screeched to a stop and the driver’s window lowered, the music blasting far louder than necessary followed by white smoke steaming out like a chimney.

“Shit, did I hit a dog or something? Gotta clean my fuckin’ tires…” The man, sporting red hair embraced by a bandana, emerald eyes with dark circles, and a scar over his lip, cursed as he did not even realize he hit Sinister Bernkastel with his car. Then again, he hardly seemed to care. His attention shifted to Vegetto Black, eyeing him up and down with a bored interest, flicking the ashes of his blunt outside his car and exhaling the fumes from his nose.

“Jaz, is that one of the Breakers? Vergino?” The man asked.

“Nope, that’s not Mr. Vegetto.” The reply was almost synthetic, but female in tone. It came from within the car.

With one final look, the man rolled his eyes.

“Lock on to the Breakers, Jaz, I’mma rev this girl and make ‘er purr real good. We takin’ those losers outta here.”

“You got it, dad!”

The man tossed the joint out the window after one last puff before the engine roared to life, flaring with voracity that was followed by the shrieking of the tires that kicked up more dirt. The car’s scissor doors opened, and inside was a comfortable leather interior, for sure, blue lights lined the inner frame for aesthetics; however, the feminine voice from earlier spoke out once more.

“LOCK ON. TARGETS ACQUIRED.”

As the car swerved, shifted gears, and drifted, it circled around Spina first. Spina suddenly felt a strong pull; one he could not escape. Suddenly, like a fly fighting against a vacuum, Spina was sucked into the car. The same happened to Avalon, Asher, and Coella as the car zipped by them, stuffing them into the backseat with Spina. No one could escape the pull of this car as it drifted and skidded by.

“Goddamnit, why is there so many of you guys?!” The man complained, rushing towards Cayde and Vegetto next, the two suffering the same fate, stuffed in the back seat of a car. Once by one, each Breaker, even Mooli, Whis, and Daiman, were taken by the car, cramped into the backseat. Faces were pressed against the window, bodies tangled with each other, music blasted, and the smell of marijuana filled the car.

“Hey, I’m getting you idiots out of here. Thank me later.” The man scoffed, making a sharp turn, flinging the Breakers against each other from the inertia. If one were to glance at the man, they would see his entire right arm was robotic, clutching the gear stick, shifting it expertly, while his other arm was flesh, gripping the wheel.

“Jaz, does the teleporter work?”

“Yes, but you must acquire a certain speed…”

“I got it.” The man glanced back, addressing the Breakers. “If any of you guys throw up in my car, I’ll fuck you up. Now, brace yourselves.”

Suddenly, the car turned wildly and came to a full stop several yards away from Vegetto Black. The air was still, as if the Saiyan and car were having a showdown.

“Dad, that man is dangerous…”

“’Naw.”

Suddenly, the car revved louder than it had before, kicking more dirt and debris as it sped faster and faster towards Vegetto Black. There was no sign of stopping, shifting gear, or moving out of the way. The engine revved louder, and the car moved faster until electricity, sparks, and flickering lights began to appear on the hood of the car.

Faster, faster, and faster still! Until…

The car was engulfed in a blue-green light that resembled and sounded like electricity. The energy pulsed a few times, each pulse getting quicker until the car exploded into a tuff of green smoke mere seconds before hitting Vegetto Black. Beneath the Saiyan’s boots were lines of fire where the tires were moments before.

With a sudden screech, the Breakers, the mysterious man, and the car came to an immediate stop. The low purr of the vehicle hummed softly before silencing itself as the man turned off the car. The butterfly doors on all four sides opened, causing some of the Breakers to spill out of the car, freeing them from their cramped space. The area they were taken to is a lab with a giant computer monitor with multiple windows open, several cables on the floor, and countless snacks and cigarette butts on a desk.

Vegetto looked on in awe as Mooli made her demands known, and charged forward to attempt to fend off the massive beast before the Breakers. He glanced down, squeezing his right hand into a fist in an attempt to feel any of his energy, but it was useless. His expression soon sombered, glancing around to the others as they expressed their own confusion and being rendered useless by the effects of Spina's Dark Energy.

He glanced to the older Saiyan briefly, but watching on, only confirmed how fruitless it was to even attempt to flee. Spina's pressure, while significant, seemed to be like a dark flame struggling to stay alive against the monstrous sea before them in the Red Witch. And next to her, stood Vegetto Black; a man with monstrous natural strength, speed and power even without his ki.

Vegetto held a similar sentiment with Avalon: this fight was over and there was no where to go that they could run to in their current, limited capability. The duo was set to end them, it was now only a matter of how they wanted to go out against them.

Vegetto glanced down and gently pushed Daiman back, but even though he felt it was futile to even run, he echoed Mooli's sentiment.

"Get out of here with the others, kid. I'll help her stall them...we'll buy you time."

The Potara fusion didn't wait for a reply, and quickly bolted forward in a sprint. Without any ki to bolster his speed and power, he arrived at Mooli with labored breath already and quickly knelt down; his white gloved hands seizing the hilt of the hatchet that wasn't within the grasp of the massive Lambda above. He roared out and his arm muscles flared outwards as he also fought in vain to push the hatchet back; his attention only diverting for a little bit until Spina's barrier broke from the new arrival.

Vegetto Black's eyes immediately narrowed, listening to Sinister Bernkastel respond to his command posed as a question. He shifted his attention down, but in his mind, he felt growing disappointment and confusion at her response. To him, she had realized and agreed with his own biased viewpoint of Spina, but now her call to action had completely shifted focus away.

Her call to the giant monster above to attack the other Breakers already elevated his distrust of her judgement, looking down at her and wondering why the Red Witch had chosen to complicate his simple command further. Vegetto Black remained silent initially, however, waiting to see what Sinister Bernkastel would do. Perhaps she was commanding the beast to target the Breakers so she could focus solely on Spina herself; a move she would have to take since the effects of Dark Energy nullified his arsenal with ki.

However, his frustration grew as soon as he saw Sinister Bernkastel target the source of her hatred: Whis. The man's expression grew in anger, but not to the full extent of the original Vegetto's whenever his pride was slighted. Vegetto Black stared down, prepared to speak out against the motion to attack Whis' body parts instead of Spina, but then Spina's ominous cloud of Dark Energy was broken.

He barely shifted his head in time, Kire's car zipping past and slamming into Sinister Bernkastel. The doppelganger watched on with wide eyes momentarily in shock and concern for his only friend, but the new arrival drew his attention as he met Kire's stare with his own perplexed, curious expression. Vegetto Black kept his arms folded as he listened to the two assess who he was and if he was a Breaker, but stood silently. His own scowl soon returned, the disrespect forcing it out of the prideful man without fail.

Vegetto Black watched on, the car zipping through and snagging up each Breaker one by one; he spent no energy in that moment checking on Sinister Bernkastel. Cayde and Vegetto both crammed into the car with wide eyed, confused stares, barely able to grasp what was happening as they were all smushed together with Whis' chunks of body parts jumbling around the backseat of the car as it maneuvered through the area wildly.

Then the air grew still, the car and Vegetto Black on opposite sides. The doppelganger looked on, but as soon as he recognized what he thought Kire was planning, Vegetto Black's cocky smirk grew. He flashed his white teeth in the devilish grin; despite having no access to ki, Vegetto Black's natural strength had risen to heights near planetary in destruction and durability. A mere car, in his eyes, would do little to stop or damage him.

Vegetto Black unfolded his arms as the car revved at him, walking quickly towards the impending clash. And just as the car reached Vegetto Black, the doppelganger lunged forward with his right leg to simply stomp the hood down into the ground. Instead, the car vanished into thin air before him, and Vegetto Black glanced around in confusion while the fire licked at his boots and the green smoke wafted up from the ground around him.

The Unknown Lab

Spilling out of the car once the doors opened, Vegetto and Cayde both collapsed onto the floor with heavy thuds. The Potara fusion was first to spring up to his feet, confused with rips in his white gloves near his palms from trying to fend off the hatchet with Mooli. His first instinctual motion was to check on both Mooli and Daiman now that the group had a moment to breathe.

Yet his eyes shot up as he watched Whis' chunks of charred meat shoot out of the car on their own. The momentary pause in Spina's intoxicating Dark Energy gave way to the angel's ki flaring up dramatically; each body part flying into each other in quick succession. Without even a spectacle of energy to mask the sight, the charred meat somehow instantly morphed back into the taller angel in an instant; fully clothed and completely free of any markings along his body.

Strangely, Whis stood without a hint of fatigue or pain in his expression. Yet the damage was clearly significant; the ominous cracks indicating an individual was close to being coined formed along his body. That even though Whis seemed to defy the laws of pain, injury and fatigue, he was on the verge of his limit.

Cayde briefly shook his head, while Vegetto moved over to check on Whis. The android briefly looked around the lab, his mechanical voice addressing no one in particular.

"Ok...magic man in a magic car. Wasn't on my bingo card for how we'd escape certain death from evil Burn Castle and Vegetto, but I'll take it..."

Beach City Outskirts

As the flames from the car's intense tire tracks began to fizzle out and die, Vegetto Black stood with his back towards where Sinister Bernkastel laid from being flattened by the car. The doppelganger did not attend to the Red Witch mostly because he knew she was too powerful to be seriously injured by the car in his mind. But in his dual voice, anger seeped through and crept in. Another reason began to build on why he didn't immediately to move and reassure his only friend after the Breakers' escape; his question and tone clearly indicating it.

"Why didn't you kill Spina like I told you to?"

A familiarity in the rhetoric was there; this was not the first time the two had argued about what goals to focus on. Vegetto Black stood with his face hidden from the Red Witch; awaiting her reply with the frustration and disappointment palpable in his dual voice.
