As Vegetto Black's fist sailed towards Brachi, the doppelganger paid little attention to the pink goo wrapping around his forearm. His strength far surpassed Bara's, however, and despite the Majin's best efforts, the fist still connected strongly into Brachi's cheek and stretched Bara's tentacle.
However, the strike itself caused little physical damage to the fused woman, and Vegetto Black's eyebrows raised ever so slightly in surprise. Not of the attack failing, but at Brachi reacting the way she did as the black energy dissipated away from his fist. His smirk only raised a bit however, looking over Brachi in amusement.
"Interesting. You're not as stupid as I thought..."
Vegetto Black, however, audibly grunted once Majin Bara had yanked him fully away this time, slinging the doppelganger around by force against the ground. He grunted as the Majin slammed him finally into a nearby wall, falling to the ground on his rear with an audible thud as concrete cascaded down onto him. Vegetto Black sat motionless for a few seconds, yet soon swiped and smacked the debris around him away and rose back to his feet.
He stood tall, preparing to face off against the duo that had successfully counter attacked him. Yet once his black, ominous eyes locked onto Majin Bara and saw her transformation, Vegetto Black chuckled audibly to himself, finishing his first statement and having a change of heart once he saw her use such a powerful form.
"...but perhaps, I was wrong."
Vegetto Black did not have time to launch forward, however, as his entire aura and transformation dissipated in an instant from Spina's flourishing of Dark Energy. His eyes briefly lifted, a bit of concern in his expression but not nearly the same shock and surprise that Vegetto and Cayde both showed as they were forced back to their base selves. Both blinking in confusion, Vegetto audibly confused.
"What the hell is this?!"
However, as Vegetto Black looked on at the others in recognizing what happened, Whis also looked up. The angel's frown deepened, and he shared the same concerned but unsurprised expression as Vegetto Black; both looking towards the source that was Spina. A tantrum of this magnitude was not new to those two, both familiar with the effects of Dark Energy's dominating presence when fully unleashed.
And so, as Spina launched his attack on the duo, Vegetto Black quickly braced himself with his arms. His grimace deepened more than it ever had before from the attack; the technique inflicting extensive damage that completely dwarfed any of the other Breakers' attempts to hurt him. Pushing him back further along the ground, he eventually slid to a halt with Sinister Bernkastel at his side; the Red Witch no doubt having protected herself with her own Dark Energy and having faired better in resisting the attack than Vegetto Black. Yet the doppelganger stood tall and recovered; the physical might of his body still strong while he watched Spina hoist Whis into the air next with a raised eyebrow in genuine surprise for the first time.
Whis gasped, unable to resist Spina's sudden forceful lifting of the angel and tossing him high into the air. The angel had not recovered well since the beginning of the battle, and now with the Dark Energy completing snuffing out his capability to defend himself, Whis shut his eyes and accepted the devasting energy that suddenly unleashed upon him without a sound or word. The explosion rocked the ground entirely from its destructive force, and from the smoke cloud hanging above, the resulting effect of Spina's attack was made clear.
Whis' charred body parts rained down along side his blood, sickening thumps of the meat slamming into the surface and ringing out in near dozens of split pieces. Yet despite the gruesome carnage left in the wake of Spina's attack, Whis' life energy could still be sensed from every single piece that had crashed into the ground. The angel was not dead, surprisingly far from the brink of death despite his body completely mangled beyond a normal person's ability to recover. But Whis' body parts lay comatose on the floor, unresponsive and unmoving.
Vegetto was the first to audibly yell, his wide eyes of both shock and rage turning immediately onto Spina.
"What have you done?!"
Yet the Potara fusion did not move from his spot; how could he? Without his transformations or abilities to fight Spina, he knew he could not charge the older Saiyan or try to subdue Spina. Cayde watched on in silence as well, unsure of how to react now that Spina had attacked an ally directly.
Premonition of Finality (All can perceive)
Across the way, however, Cayde eyed the sight of the duo, specifically onto Vegetto Black. The doppelganger had barely moved for a moment in his stance, but once again, a strange and foreboding atmosphere built up. Vegetto Black's eyes were completely hallowed out once again, trails of a strangle black liquid seeping down from the sockets.
The doppelganger moved like a puppet on a string, walking around and up from behind Sinister Bernkastel. He knelt down slowly, an unnerving but calming presence in the air building while he gently reached up with both hands, lightly grasping onto the Red Witch's shoulders. Like a proud father reassuring his daughter, Vegetto Black leaned closer to her ear, and spoke in a voice that was clearly not his own. A voice that, somehow, seemed to reach your ears despite being nearly a whisper in the ear of the Red Witch.
"Look at him. So confused...to find meaning in his pain."
The creepy voice of the man continued, a strange sensation of calming yet still unnatural and daunting in how it resonated within you.
"Only purpose can cure his heart...and he believes that capacity for pain...for suffering...is his purpose. It's why he subjects himself so completely to this battle...because he believes he is resisting the poison of life. An escape from unending servitude...to an existence that has no purpose. We deny this pain...we are above such irrelevancies..."
The hallow darkness for eye sockets still bore into you, a knowing smirk building upon the face of the doppelganger as if he were speaking directly to you.
"We are not bound by logic. We...define its shape. We offer salvation from this...futile struggle..."
Once more, the premonition revealed itself to merely be an illusion. Vegetto Black stood at Sinister Bernkastel's side now; completely normal and battle damaged from Spina's attack instead of kneeling behind the Red Witch; as if he had never moved from his spot. He stood with a small chuckle, his eyes turning down to Sinister Bernkastel with a confident smirk in spite of the immense damage wearing on him from Spina's attack.
"The dog has lost his mind, he's so rabid that he's attacking his allies and doing our work for us."
His smirk widened slightly, devilishly looking back to Spina.
"I think it's time we wrap this up...now that the biggest threats are out of the way. Start by putting down the loudest one (Spina), won't you?"
