Mooli furrowed her brows and strained to fight off the growing resistance she was feeling rise from Vegetto Black's body, trying to react with equal force in subduing him. Just as her body was starting to give way, the real Vegetto had intervened in the nick of time. While her expression was still under stress, she managed to grin with the optimism that they could turn this battle around. Mooli raised one of her hands to the top of his head, thinking of slamming his head to the ground and letting the others dogpile onto him. Suddenly, however, her arms were only hugging the air.
"!?" Mooli stood agape, Vegetto Black's fist having practically materialized in front of her and slamming into her cheek. She was sent to the ground, spitting out blood and groaning from the world spinning around her. She could only grimace in response to the man's taunts, following his line of sight and quietly gasping seeing Vegetto crumpled into a crater not far from her. The Saiyan woman was too stunned to try and go after him again immediately.
Hearing Daiman's voice get closer to them, Mooli began to realize how much trouble this 'issue' Whis had was far beyond what she anticipated initially. "Witch of... Misfortune? But isn't she supposed to be the Witch of-" Spina's outburst cut off her question. Clearly it triggered something in Vegetto Black to go after him in kind, the looming threat having redirected itself to another person for the time being. As she scrambled for the crater to assess Vegetto's injuries, it set in how little the doppelganger had thought of them. He didn't use even a sliver of brutality on the two compared to Zenta. We're just flies to him. Not even worth killing. A cold bead of sweat rolled down her face as she hoisted Vegetto over herself, dashing over towards Daiman with her hand reached out. "Let's get the hell out of dodge! Anywhere but here--"
"SILENCE! You insolent s̵̛͍p̴̻͑e̷̟̊c̷͍̓k̴̼͝."
A man's enraged baritone voice echoed through a thunderous roar of thunder, radiating in a shockwave from a bolt of lightning that had struck the very crater Sinister Bernkastel lay in.
Even as her body was crunching and shifting its broken bones back into place, she was standing with steam billowing around her, her long hair clinging to her rain-soaked corpse like inky tentacles. Between the wet strands obscuring her face emerged her piercing red eyes that met Whis's -- only for a sliver of a second, seemingly doing the same to any of the Breakers she could immediately see in the vicinity. The black storm clouds above the area lit up in sync as the voice morphed in and out with Sinister Bernkastel's.
"You are a mere PIECE! Nothing but a stray dog blindly following the path of anyone that can control it! An existence that only lives to meet the ends others have determined FOR you! Trash to be disposed of the moment your superiors have no further use for you! Nobody can control me! Nobody can kill me, NOBODY! KNOW YOUR PLACE, YOU LOWLIFE!" The Red Witch roared at the top of her lungs, throwing out her arms as the shadows in the environment around the Breakers near Spina and Vegetto Black began to morph and twist, pinching off into black feathers that filled the air and began converging into monstrous crows that let out ear-piercing screeches and quickly swarmed around Avalon and his paper bird, attempting to impede his ninja art by slashing at him with their sharp talons.
"Playtime is over, old man." A hand reached out through the smokescreen and grasped the back of Spina's head, sharp black claws digging in and drawing delicate beads of blood that trickled down. It was only one hand but the strength behind it was impossibly strong for a grip of Bernkastel's caliber. The arm that the Red Witch used to hold Spina in place had been replaced with that of a beast; coarse black fur covering the thickened muscle. "You've made your choice." Her heavily damaged and broken ribcage cracked open even further, like a venus fly trap, sending out long steel chains lashing at the air in various parts of the nearby area to deter the remaining Breakers from getting in close. Each time Brachi came in close to attack Vegetto Black, a chain would strike at her in retaliation. Yet no move was made to immediately capture her.
"Where is she...." the Red Witch muttered under her breath.
Bernkastel, seeing the onslaught of chains complicating the accessibility of the field, frowning before drawing in a deep breath-- she had been forced to use Clear Mind much earlier than she would have liked. But it made the chains haphazardly whipping around much easier to evade entirely. Soon, the smokescreen cloud was approaching and Bernkastel could clearly see Vegetto Black being intercepted by Avalon and Brachi. This would be as perfect a spot as any to kill the man and end him once and for all. Bernkastel raised her hand forth and summoned her scythe, taking aim as she ran closer and closer to kill him; she could see herself slicing his arms clean off, easily slipping right in front of him, and then beheading him. It would all be over in an instant.
Bernkastel raised the scythe over her head, positioning it perfectly over Vegetto Black's arms to begin its momentum. I've got you now!
Right as she could feel it time to disengage Clear Mind, the very instant she was ready to release her bated breath, a large silhouette towering over the five fighters came into her peripheral vision.
"S̶TOP.̴.̴.̵B̷͙͍̓͛̄Ú̵̟̭͙L̴͚͊͝Ĺ̷̗̹̫Ý̴͈͚Ĩ̴̖N̸̳͚͈̑̈́̃G̸̱͂͗.̸.̷.̵.̶ ̸B̷ERN!" it commanded, cutting through the silence of Bernkastel's perfect, silent, idealized world that Clear Mind assured. The silhouette, unlike everything else in Clear Mind, didn't seem anywhere near impeded by the slowed flow of time. It stooped lower until a deathly pale young woman's hollowed red eyes locked onto Bernkastel with blood-stained tears streaming down its face. 'She' had a deformed body, hunched with multiple long gangly arms hanging off her like a spider. All wearing aged and faded dainty black-lace gloves, her body adorned in a faded pink dress and a massive hole where her heart would have been. Each arm held a different weapon; a gun, a branched sword, a sickled hatchet, a hammer and nails, and a ceremonial rake with jagged sharp edges. Everyone could see it, but for it to see Bernkastel plain as day through her safety veil of Clear Mind... was unfathomable.
She only locked eyes with it for an instant and lost instantly.
Not even a word formed in her mind, her eyes hardly widening in realization of her fatal mistake when the Witch felt a ripping, splitting headache zigzag its way all over her skull in blinding, searing-hot pain. The world as she saw it in Clear Mind became an abyss of black lined in red. Immediately, Bernkastel let out a high-pitched scream as she gripped her head seemingly in a desperate bid to keep it from what she believed was falling apart and killing her. Bright red blood spurted out from where she felt her head ripping open. The poor Witch was in so much pain, screaming was the only thing she could manage before falling to her knees, blindly reaching out for something, or someone, until her body could no longer sustain the damage. The Witch of Miracles collapsed in a pool of her blood, unresponsive.
The nightmarish figure raised the arm holding the pistol, and fired multiple rounds into the air in Brachi's direction -- bullets of candy that hit harder than lead and exploded shrapnel once they hit their target. Another hand threw a volley of giant nails into the air and struck them with the hammer aiming to hit anyone on the ground. "A̴l̵l̸ ̷o̵f̴ ̵y̸o̷u̵ ̷s̸h̴o̶u̸l̶d̷ ̸D̶I̷E̵!̵"
Sinister Bernkastel wheezed before breaking into a maniacal cackle. "AHAHAHAHAHA!!! How utterly pathetic! What's wrong? Did you see something scary!?" Animated with a sick glee, she tightened her grip on Spina's head and forced him to look at the Witch on the ground, kicking mud onto her as she continued mocking him. "Remind me again, old man! WHICH OF US IS THE FAILURE HERE!? Ahahahaha! I didn't even have to touch her! It really was that easy! Serves her right!!! Looks like this is checkmate, Whis. WHERE'S YOUR MIRACLE NOW?!" She asked, clearly reveling in Whis's horrified expression.
"So? How's it feel to have your precious Witch of Miracles struck down before your very eyes, completely powerless to do anything about it!? Tell me, tell me, don't you feel just awful!? How's it feel to be humiliated in front of everyone like this? Do you understand it now? How utterly beneath me you are in every way? And best of all--!" She leaned close enough for their foreheads to touch, Sinister Bernkastel's red eyes piercing Spina's with a Cheshire cat smile. "She has you to thank for it! They all do. You failure."
