The Reality Vortex: The Black Rose

Victor thinks "Sence I don't want to risk dark energy controlling a summon like the field of flowers." The white cat jumps on victor's shoulder.

The wolf is looking for attacks of opportunity and the scarecrows are wafting to take blows.

The strange distortion remained, but Vegetto Black now moved in real time as the bullet split into multiple rounds. He quickly threw his arms together in a defensive posture, being engulfed on the impact shortly after.

A strong gust of wind blasted the remaining smoke away in tandem with the dancing white tails. Vegetto Black watched on in perplexion; a detail indicating the Saiyan was still mortal in some capacity.

Yet as the shards were sent flying inward, Vegetto Black grimaced in pain, his physical body unable to prevent the incoming attack. As his energy was attacked directly, he crashed down to the ground after the new beast had formed, struggling to crawl up to all fours. He panted heavily, sweating while his physical body strained and worked to recover the damaged inner life force it worked so diligently to protect.

Vegetto Black kept wide eyes, taking a brief moment to look around. His attention soon landed on his intended focus, his dual voice shouting towards the pair battling in the distance.

“Bernkastel!! To me!!”

Yet despite his call for help, Vegetto Black was far from helpless. Even as he looked towards Bernkastel, his physical body worked to build up his natural defense against anything you planned to do.

It grows stronger by the second…in fact, it has already grown strong enough to tank forces capable of leveling small cities.

You are wasting time, reading this and thinking of what to do.

As Vegetto Black called out, Whis perked his head a bit in attention, roused from his thoughts in how best to advise the original Bernkastel on her anxiety. A familiar ominous pressure jogged his memory; his eyes darting around.

The angel quickly glanced to the others, a realization finally dawning him. He suddenly raised his voice urgently, shouting towards the others battling Vegetto Black.

“Breakers!! There’s something else here; a limitor that is influencing you! Block it out and power through!”

Premonition of Finality (All involved in the battle with Vegetto Black)

Don’t listen to the traitor. You have the strength, you can do this.

Every story has an end.

Make this one Black’s.

Bernkastel looked confused and frustrated at the same time since she could not tell the source of this 'inner voice' that seemed to consciously urge her into the battle faster than she was ready to properly act upon. There was no 'voice' behind these seemingly intrusive thoughts, no different than a passing thought. But she instinctively felt that this was not her conscience speaking. It only added to the noise in her head. "Quiet, quiet, just get quiet," she hissed through gritted teeth.
=======
"Nice one, buddy! Ya hit him where it hurts!" Mooli shouted, though she was still reeling in shock from the way her kick landed on Vegetto Black and Coella's intercepting threw her off course further away from the man. Seeing Vegetto Black try to get backup, she furthered Whis's urgency. "We can't let the other one (SiniBern) get close or it's all over! We need to finish him off now while the shell's weakened!" She opted to go straight for Vegetto Black, propelling herself down in an arc to ambush him while he was on all fours; she hooked her arms under his and clasped both hands on the back of his head to immobilize his upper body best she could.
=======

Sinister Bernkastel eyed the Old Saiyan silently for a moment, listening only to the rain showering the damaged terrain around them. She gave an amused snort. "I suppose you wouldn't. You playthings aren't expected to think... it's what makes you so easy to move around on the chess board. But it seems even with this body of yours, you're reaching your limit." Her crimson eyes followed the trail Spina's blood made as it mixed in with the ground. "That's a shame. I can't remember the last time anyone could return my blows like you. The rain really burns when your face is freshly blown off, you know?"

She began to inch closer to Spina step by step like a cat closing in on a battered bird. "The time's come to finish off what remains of this life of yours." Spoken in a gentle tone, her words carried a certitude to them as her figure seemed to become gradually enshrouded in a dense, shadowy aura that carried the same feeling of pressure that her aura generally exuded. Only her red eyes illuminated her face, smirking with gleeful anticipation. Sinister Bernkastel reached her arms out, letting out a sinister giggle as the black cloud of malice began to concentrate itself in the center of her chest and radiate where her arms were facing. The murderous intent was palpable around her, the reactive rage of Spina attempting to kill Whis first clearly still dictating what she would do with Spina's fate at her hands. "Try to think of your happiest memories. They'll become your afterlife while I grind your wretched vessel to dust."

Sinister Bernkastel had Spina within striking range, ready to pounce on him when Vegetto Black's voice rang out. She turned her head in his direction with an audible clicking of her teeth; the shadowy miasma receding its malevolent reach back to the natural contours of her body. Hearing Whis's rallying of the others, the Red Witch's face contorted with resentment and as if to defy the angel, she turned on her heel away from Spina. "Sending them to die in your stead, bastard!? Quit hiding behind your defectives and come die with some shame!"
==============
The original Bernkastel reflexively looked in Vegetto Black's direction -- it was merely habitual -- but her eyes locked on to him. That's right. I'm wasting too much time thinking and not just doing it. Thinking in itself is my limiter. He needs to be destroyed. Before he destroys us. How will I do that without thinking!?

Bernkastel focused in on Vegetto Black's order as it reverberated in her head, closing her eyes and repeating it as a mantra to make it the only thing her mind and body could think of doing -- not how, not where, not when. She began to walk forward before engaging in a sprint. To him!!

“T-thanks, Mooli. Sorry… Cayde, this is the best I could do for now…” Daiman felt that his entire body was on fire. He could hardly breathe because Zenta’s technique was too much for him. “Gah, what was I thinking? I should’ve used something else! How can anyone even use this move… He’s probably insane like I thought…”

The moment Vegetto-Black called out for evil Bernkastel; Daiman had just enough strength to take another look at this doppelganger. His eyes widened upon what he saw; the realization of who she was soon turned his face into pure terror.

“W-wait… that’s who we’re fighting?!” Daiman’s voice became panicked upon seeing her. “That’s the Red Witch of Misfortunes! I saw a documentary about her and others like her on TV!”

Daiman struggled to stand, but the heavy toll from Zenta’s attacks was still weighing him down. “She’s been causing so much mayhem in so many cities before she disappeared. Everyone just assumed she got coined… but to think she somehow involved with you guys…! This is bad! Rumors have it that whatever they appears, misfortunes will surely fall!! And she's one of the worst one, like a curse! Forget fighting! We need to get out of here!” He warned the Breakers.

He turns to Asher, Mooli, Coella, Victor and Dielec, since he is familiar with them the most. “W-we have to get out of here… if she’s around, we’re all doom!"

==

“Red Witch…?” Spina overheard Daiman as the Red Witch walked away. He soon let out a slight chuckle. “That’s what I thought.”

Recovering from his wounds, the old Saiyan dashed with an intense look on his face. Having no regards to others, including the injured Zenta, he tackled the Red Witch from behind. In breakneck speeds, slammed the Witch against the ground before dragging her body across. “Ha!” He let out a grunt before tossing her near Brachi, Bara and Whis.

Approaching her as he ignored any thoughts from the “outside voice” that attempt to pierced his thoughts. Spina shoved Brachi, Bara and Whis out of the way as he stood above her with a raised fist. “You’re no Witch of Miracles. You’re not even Bernkastel. You’re nothing more than an imposter.” He threw the first punch against her face, knocking her deep in ground as crater formed beneath them.

“A fake!” He threw a second. “A failed replicate!” He threw the third, the fourth, and soon a rapid pace of strikes. “That brat called you misfortune! Yet this is the best thing you can do!? The power of the Witch, yet you let this freak [Vegetto-Black] order you around?!” He shouted as power of his punches became stronger. “To think I let you toss me around to see what you’re made of… only to be left disappointed. The worst of all… that damn Angel acting all high and mighty thinking he train someone powerful… and yet this is the result I see?! Pathetic.” Spina stopped his attacks and jumped back few steps away. He took a stance and taunted the Red Witch. “Come, fake Bernkastel. Disappoint me more.”

Cayde looked on, having silently watched the entire display unfold; completely caught offguard from the level of potency that Daiman added onto his attack in their combined strike. The android soon joined the others as Daiman made his statement, interjecting with praise at the apology.

"Don't be kid...that was great. We-"

He stopped, however, as Daiman lamented on Sinister Bernkastel's title: the Red Witch of Misfortunes. Cayde blinked, glancing over towards the opponent engaged with Spina near Bara, Brachi and Whis.

"You sure? Looks like the old man's got her under control over there..."

Premonition of Finality (All involved in the battle with Vegetto Black)

Vegetto Black grunted and grimaced, Mooli's hold over his hand pinning him in his position. He struggled against the hold, still damaged from the potent attack, but his resistance growing underneath the Saiyan woman. Strangely too, as he continued to empower himself, his energy did not rise in typical fashion of a normal Saiyan. Instead, raw and brute strength began to mount; Mooli's grip over the doppelganger beginning to slip and wane against the raw power.

However, before Vegetto Black could break free, a sudden burst of ki swelled and spiked near the team. In a flash, a blue streak of energy tore through the air and appeared in an instant next to Mooli. The original Vegetto had arrived, fully transformed in his Super Saiyan Blue state, and had brandished a Spirit Sword of his own in his right arm.

In an instant, he lunged forward and stabbed directly into the immobilized Vegetto Black's abdomen with the blade. And just as you were all promised, he was successful in tearing through the defenses of Black's physical body; the doppelganger hacked and coughed up blood on the floor with a new energy sword lodged in his abdomen.

How beautiful this carnage could have been if it was more than this odd pair of Saiyans jumping Vegetto Black. Imagine the might...of all the Breakers bringing this poor, meaningless being to heel.

Oho...but it isn't enough, no. If all of you had simply attacked with all your might...everything could have ended here. But that's not possible with who you are, how lacking you are. You always look to answer split-second decisions with ten minute opinions...so afraid to take the risk. Like the boy there, you are too indecisive. You lack conviction. You lack vision and courage, letting the world go by and your opportunities slip. Standing in the back, waiting for victory to be handed to you. Oh, by the way, you should really look out for that counterattack-

"HA!"

Vegetto Black's harrowing battle cry could be felt as the scene had completely shifted; the doppelganger propelling forward now instead of being immobilized under Mooli. His fist had clocked Mooli's right cheek, knocking the Saiyan woman back as he rose to his feet. His smirk widened, a small trail of blood on the corner of his lip while he stood; the scar along his abdomen from the Spirit Sword stab earlier having sealed. Vegetto Black glanced to the side for a moment; Vegetto now resting in pain inside a newly formed crater, and the doppelganger chuckled while he taunted Mooli.

"Sorry, you were way open there."

Yet Vegetto Black turned away from the gathered Breakers fighting him, raising his right fist and wiping the blood away on his face. His eyes followed the original Vegetto first, taking one moment to look over the identical copy of himself in complete and utter disgust, before turning his eyes up to Sinister Bernkastel. Strangely, his own thoughts and feelings could easily be felt this time, his attention trained on Sinister Bernkastel and Spina across the way.

His disappointment was first; upset and annoyed that his ally did not arrive to defend him against the Breakers' ambush. However, those feelings of selfishness faded quickly; the doppelganger recognizing he needed to help his teammate now that Spina had routed her. Despite his own flaws, Vegetto Black soon shot forward in his desire to protect his only friend; aiming immediately towards Spina.

Whis watched Spina and Sinister Bernkastel's fight as the pair approached, quickly attempting to scoop the limp and injured Zenta up. The angel barely made a sound as he stumbled to the side, shoved to the ground with Zenta by Spina shortly after moving. The angel had fallen to one knee, carefully laying Zenta back onto the floor while he watched on again.

His expression grew pale as Spina spoke and taunted Sinister Bernkastel; his eyes widening. He cared little for Spina's disrespect towards him about the pair, but instead of finding comfort in Spina having the upper hand momentarily, Whis looked on in uncharacterstic horror as the older Saiyan tore into the psyche of his former pupil with his damning speech.

More beauty, more austerity in the elegance of decay.

So watch closely, everyone. See this traitor's worst fears come alive.

This is where it begins:

The end of your story.

Victor summons what looks like a seed made of light. Victor thinks "this should help those kids regenerate some stamina and a bit of health faster even in a fight." The seed simply floats behinds victor as it uses its powers to help his allies.

(I’m going to focus on the last couple of posts since I’m super behind lol. Let me know if I oversaw some stuff.)

“Whoa!” Asher gasped, being saved by Coella’s magical airbag. He checked himself, as if to confirm with Coella that he was fine. “I’m okay. Thanks a bunch, Bunni!”

Asher directed his attention to Vegetto Black, realizing that this match was not something he needed to take lightly. In a way, his blood ran cold upon looking at Vegetto Black, still seeing Zenta’s blood on his Gi, but it also made him incredibly upset.

“I’ll make that jerk pay for hurting Grandpa!” Asher snarled to himself. “But he’s too strong to fight alone! I bet if me and Bunni team up, we can beat him.”

Avalon listened to Daiman and his suspicions were confirmed. This other Bernkastel was not a direct copy of the original. His eyes narrowed as he stared at Evil Bernkastel, trying to figure out what she was. One thing was for certain; however, they needed to leave.

If what Daiman says is true, then we need to get out of here. I’m not sure how strong, or how close, that Bernkastel is to ours, but we shouldn’t take risks, not when Zenta is down… Avalon thought to himself. Spina would be a great help but he’s not himself, and then we got Vegetto Black to worry about. Bernkastel is strong, but she can’t do this on her own. No matter how much I think through it, we can’t win this!

Avalon flew on his paper falcon, swooping down and next to Coella and Asher. He called out to the group.

“We need to leave, now!” Avalon warned.

“But we need to stop them! I got a bone to pick with that guy anyway!” Asher pointed at Vegetto Black. “He hurt Grandpa and I’m going to kick his ass!”

Listen to me!” Avalon shouted, his voice serious and stern, causing Asher to flinch slightly. “I understand you want to enact revenge but now is not the time for it. This guy nearly tore your grandfather in half from your recklessness!”

Avalon noticed the stunned expression on Asher’s face, his voice then lowered slightly, knowing he might have been too rough on the youngster.

“Look, your grandpa needs help, and I doubt he’ll get it if we get our butts whooped, right? Right now, we gotta get out of here, somehow, and help your grandpa.”

Asher glanced at Zenta who was breathing heavily on the ground, struggling to keep a rhythm to his breathing. Even with healing, Asher can tell that his grandfather was not doing well. Swallowing his pride, he nodded once towards Avalon, matching his demeanor.

“You’re right! Let’s just get grandpa out of here!”

Avalon nodded in response, realizing that Asher, at least, was willing to listen to reason despite his need to fight and beat Vegetto Black. His eyes glanced at the other Breakers, trying to figure out how to approach this situation.

“Okay, I think I got a plan. You and Coella grab Zenta while I do my best to distract Vegetto Black. No matter what happens, just get out of here, kid!”

Avalon hopped on his paper falcon as it flew up in the air heading towards Vegetto Black. He noticed the original Vegetto return and attack his evil counterpart. In a way, he felt relieved that the original Vegetto was back, but not enough to be happy about it.

“Great, two trash talkin’ psychopaths. Can hardly tell the difference…” Avalon sighed but quickly remained turned his attention back to the task at hand.

With swift hand signs, Avalon tossed some smoke balls from his leg pouch towards Vegetto Black, hoping to at least distract him for a few seconds. He summoned some water clones of himself, each one running to Vegetto Black. One clone simply latched onto his back and the other two clung onto his legs to hinder and annoy him.

"That's the way it is," Brachi said, recovering after Spina's sudden move and overhearing Avalon, "those villains always having these self-absorbed claims while in reality, they're no better than the very people they despise so much. Then again, why waste words on someone who will NEVER understand a thing of what we truly represent..."

With that, Brachi transformed into Super Saiyan God, ready to spring into action as she had observed enough of the opposition, while Bara merely frowned.

"Body snatchers such as our 'friend' Black over there will never be able to grasp the true essence of an individual... they may be the physical part and act like it with the strength it possesses, but without the proper mentality or soul, it will ALWAYS be incomplete... faulty... defective... never being able to truly grasp the thought process of the original, nor of its memories... and with that lack of foresight or care... it will always be second best, a second-hand copy that in the end proves to be no better than the original..." Brachi said, calculating her moves as she discreetly dropped tiny specks of ki from her fingertips as if she were laying out a minefield of sorts, wanting to set up a trap for her current comrades to capitalize on.

"And that, my friends, is what is going on here... they call us 'The Breakers'... I couldn't, for the life of me, understand why they address us as such... maybe they feel that all we're good for is to 'break' something... how ironic that they will be proven right in one aspect...," Brachi said, before Bara or Dielec could interject, "by us breaking their self-imposed vision about us... by breaking their rules and their plans, and leading them to the breakdown they so rightfully deserve... the Breakers and the Broken... with the villains on that last part..."

Brachi then began to fuel her right fist with energy, counting on Avalon's clones to keep Black busy, before suddenly charging in and clocking Black right in the kisser, flashing momentarily into Super Saiyan Blue before her fist hit him, after which she switched back to Super Saiyan God, as if she never changed into Blue to begin with.
