The Reality Vortex: New Roads

Brachi's eyes narrowed, studying Panich's movements and keeping her guard up, while also being wary of the wisps moving about whom at this time were also aimed towards the Saiyan Princess in their offensive, before sensing Panich having teleported behind her, turning to face her as she went on the defensive, blocking or parrying whatever punches and kicks Panich threw at her, looking for an opening for her to counter on, ready to strike at the Saiyan Princess with a fierce kick to her side.

It should be noted that while Brachi had a stern expression on her face, she was instead trying to read Panich's expression or emotion while remaining alert on her movements, trying to figure out the motives behind Panich sudden Face-Heel Turn, with the determined expression on Panich bringing back some memories of the past within the amalgamate herself, memories of previous experiences of past battles, not in the least those of her creators/fusees in the first place.

"Quite funny," she mused during her bout with Panich, "I could have been in your place had things gone any different within those three years."

Due to Cuki's immense rage, she was attacking completely head on, however, since she was fighting so rash and sleep deprived, the damage she received would be worse on her tiny body. To make up for this, Cuki's strength was similar to the power she used against Doom, although more contained. Her speed and attacking force was explosive and unpredictable, very familiar to a few Breakers. She was a glass cannon.

As the Coin Hunter attacked Cuki, she took the hit and flew back, crashing through her own apartment as it struggled to repair itself. It took the girl a few seconds to compose herself again before bursting out of the apartment and back towards the Angel-Coin Hunter. Her skin showed cracks from the damage she took, something also familiar to the Breakers. As both beings rushed towards each other, Cuki's palms burst with pure white energy as she was quick enough to grab Angel-Coin Hunter's leg and lift him over her head. She continued to run, dragging the Hunter against the ground before throwing him towards her apartment. Normally, anything that Cuki's palms touched would either have its chi blocked off or get numb; however, the touch Cuki made on the Coin Hunter's leg started to tingle until metallic spikes started to come out of his leg. They were small but very uncomfortable if the Coin Hunter put pressure on his leg.

"You're all the same..!" Cuki shouted in two voices. "All of you!!!"

The mist grew thicker and thicker the more Cuki got angry. At this point, the ones flying in the air were no longer able to see the ground by how dense the fog is but were able to make out the ones caught in it, at least for now. Cuki let out a powerful roar before rushing back towards the Coin Hunter, copying his intention of giving the enemy no time to rest.

Reality Metropolis

Gogeta's eyes widened, his body rapidly contorting and shaking under the volatile power of the lightning that Ultraman unleashed on his body. He grunted as he was punted upwards sky high, smoke and wind blasting out in every direction from the force of the hit. Gogeta soon came to a halt, facing towards the ground and floating in an attempt to gather himself from the small combo. His eyes widened once again, his blue and golden fire erupting outward with a thunderous roar and his arms flying forward to brace against the incoming electricity.

The lightning cracked violently against the fusion's hands, exploding outward like a torrent of deadly water crashing against the wall and arcing outward in every direction across the sky. Gogeta grit his teeth, his muscles in his arms shaking violently as he cackled manically.

"Ha ha! This is pure energy; Whis' technique should work here!! Here goes; body, don't fail me now!"

As the lightning struck Gogeta's hands, the fusion gradually began to roar with a thunderous pitch that resonated to match the power of the energy crackling in the sky above Reality Metropolis. The blue and golden fire rapidly grew and expanded outward around Gogeta's body in an ominous shine, the sparkles radiating heavily off Gogeta's forearms as the lightning was seemingly sucked in through his palms. Gogeta's body rapidly expanded outward, growing into the monsterous size of Broly's Legendary Super Saiyan state as he kept his arms outstretched; absorbing the monsterous power Ultraman launched at him mere moments ago. His smirk widened, suddenly bringing his arms above his head outstretched as what appeared to be a blue flame begin to spark and ignite at the end of his palms.

"Stardust Fall-"

The small, volatile flame suddenly ignited with devastating golden energy, Gogeta hurling his arms down and both palms pointing to the ground nearly ten miles below him.

"-Times One Hundred!!!!"

Thousands of blue streaks of violent energy laced with golden lightning suddenly arced out in a massive dome shaped barrage; pure golden electricity crackling with ominous booms that radiated for hundreds of miles in every direction. The overwhelming nature of the attack threatened to undo all of Ultraman's previous work to protect the inhabitants of the city; each blast on their own capable of leveling a galaxy hundreds of times over. Small tears within the fabric of reality itself formed as each blast arced down, heading straight down in Gogeta's attempt to clearly level the entirety of Reality Metropolis, his body beginning to shrink back to normal as the energy was unleashed.

"I'm your villain Ultraman!!! I've never been a hero of justice, but if that's what you are, then show me your resolve!! Save them all from me if you can!!"

Reality Metropolis

"Interesting mechanic behind that gauntlet. Well, we'll just have to see if we can stay around long enough to force the hunter's hand. Just make sure nobody dies before we come back." Bernkastel ended the transmission of thought as soon as more explosions roared around her. She turned her head to watch Gogeta rain uncountable blasts down below them, her face gaining a twisted grin.

It didn't even matter to her that Gogeta was unleashing enough power to blow away the rest of the city-- like everything else leading up to it, Bernkastel only saw it as a test of Ultraman's will. Witnessing someone recover from the abyssal hopelessness like he did brought her glee almost on the level of mania; toying with opponents who didn't show resistance or even an iota of despair wasn't fun. What's more, she despised watching the blind sheep revere people who were just cowards underneath a fake exterior. Vegetto wasn't a hero, and he wasn't strong-- he was as good as dead in her eyes since there was nothing in him but defeat. She granted his wish to bring Doom to them for the tools after all-- it was what led to all of this madness. He abandoned them in the wake of that aftermath, their very burden to carry, and yet he was allowed to be seen as a hero? She was no sheep, and as long as that was her truth, she'd never consider him as anything but a weakling.

Ultraman was different; she wanted to take it even further-- Bernkastel wanted proof that he deserved to be seen as a hero. This was his only chance to redeem himself as worthy of that title after all the piercing denials she threw at him. Either Ultraman would follow through this attack with a miracle only someone called a hero could achieve, or he would fail-- and she'd get to enjoy ripping that sense of determination back out of his very soul and grind it back down into the dirt. Maybe she'd even turn him into a Coin and push him onto a square of wet cement just so she'd step on it every day, a reminder that he'd forever be underneath her shoes.

"He wants to be a hero in the truest sense of the word, right? Then, Ultraman, this very moment will be the deciding truth!" Bernkastel spread her arms out, shouting in pure excitement as the blasts rained down from the sky around her, her eyes illuminated in emerald while her body built a radiating aura. "Prove you are worthy of being called a hero or die a coward!"

Cuki’s Apartment

Spina’s Perspective – Third Coin Hunter

The Third Coin Hunter and Spina landed on different sides of the destroyed complex after their initial collision. The old Saiyan frowned, seeing a slight difference in power without the usage of the coin. “Hmph. Based on that, I don’t think I have to worry too much… this level is more than enough to take on the likes of you.” Referring to his Super Saiyan state.

Spina clenched his fists tightly and asked the intruder a question. “So what’s your game? Why are you targeting us, Hart?”

“Game?” The Third Coin Hunter spoke out—it spoke out in a female voice but wasn’t something he heard from Hart. It was slightly lighter, soft, yet, quelling with sheer rage. “This isn’t a game. It is survival and a way to find a solution to problems you refused to fix.” The Third Coin Hunter took on a battle stance as their gauntlet started to activate as the mist from Cuki flooded the area. “I was there you know.”

Spina narrowed his eyes. “What?”

“I saw the battle with my very own eyes. The universe collapsing within itself, unable to handle the rapid strength you Breakers display in your last-ditch effort against the one called Doctor Doom.” The Third Coin Hunter. “And that bitch Bernkastel flinging our bodies around as tools, to weaponized against her opponents.” The gauntlet began to light up as Spina’s widened in revelation. “And because of that, she created our sad state.”

The sudden rush of the mist twirls around the area due to the fight from Cuki and the Second Coin Hunter, the strangeness of its properties seemingly mask not only their appearances, but their energy signatures. In one second, the Third Coin Hunter was there, and the next, she was gone.

“Wait…” Spina felt malicious aura from all sides; malicious thoughts from Panich, from the Coin Hunters, and from Cuki herself. He looked back and forth to locate the Coin Hunter. “That’s wasn’t our fault—” His eyes narrowed at a sudden fist slamming against his face. He tumbled back on the ground several times before landing on his feet. He lifted his head as he wipe the blood off the side of his mouth.

“Coin Activation: World War Hulk.” The Third Coin Hunter said. “This is more than enough to fight you head-on.”

Spina stood up as his expression changed. “Why did you drag Panich into this?”

The Third Coin Hunter positioned herself by putting her right foot forward, left foot slightly back. They arched themselves slightly forward to display a “beast leaping for its prey”. “She is a lost soul seeking for answers that you fail to provide. I’m simply have her a way to seek out her family, something you Breakers, do have any care for—you were so concerned about your own lives being inconvenient, that you failed to consider the aspect of others. Don’t be surprised that she ended up our side.” As the mist surging on, the Coin Hunter disappeared from Spina’s eye.

Spina looked around in all direction, but unable to determine their location, he was getting attack at all sides. The old Saiyan failed on the floor after taking massive damage. “God damn… Cuki is spiraling out of control…” Spina narrowed his eyes again, sensing a familiar pressure he gotten from their training battle. “This pressure… it the same one I felt earlier…” He shook his head. “Why the hell is she acting like this… she been out of for too long now.” Spina stood up and spat out blood towards the ground. “Fine… I’ll show you no mercy then.”

Cuki’s Perspective – Second Coin Hunter

Crashing through the apartment complex, the Second Coin Hunter landed on their feet on the other side. Recovering from the attack from being drag, they noticed metallic spikes emerging out of their leg. “That’s some power…” Second Coin Hunter uttered. “But it lacks… technique.” Pressing on one leg that isn’t affected by the spikes, the Second Coin Hunter bolted forward in a burst of speeds to collided against Cuki in a thick fog.

The collision between the two turned the mist around them to twirl like a fiery tornado, blocking others from seeing them. The Second Coin Hunter went on the offense first, delivering rapid blows against Cuki before jumping back, noticing that they won’t be dashing around due to the metallic spikes. “You… no… I don’t care of your reasons.”

The Second Coin Hunter raised its hand as particles of energy formed around their hands. “Cease your rage as you taste ours.” A giant sword of pure light appeared in their hands. The Second Coin Hunter pulled their arm back and brought it down towards Cuki.

Brachi, Bara, Cross’ Perspective – First Coin Hunter

The First Coin Hunter nodded. “Good. Give them your all. The Breakers are strong, but your will to find your family is stronger.” The First Coin Hunter took several hits from Bara’s attacks and crashed against the ground. However, they grabbed Bara’s head tentacles. “Don’t talk as if you understand. You know nothing.” Strange cracks erupted around Bara’s head tentacles and within seconds, completely turned into small particles.

Raising their arms towards Bara. “I’ll show you rage…!” Using powerful psionics, the First Coin Hunter split Bara into several pieces within an energy bubble and send them to various directions of the apartment complex—upon impact, it sends a powerful explosion. The First Coin Hunter turned around against the wisps following and trailing after the other Coin Hunters and Panich. “Don’t underestimate me.” Doing a similar tactic, the first Coin Hunter trapped all the wisps following them (not the one merging) into energy bubbles and sending them to various direction towards the ground. “I’ll handle the bag of bones.”

Reality Metropolis

Ultraman’s eyes narrowed when Gogeta absorbed the attack and launched it towards not just him, but the entirely of the city. The sensation of defeat came once again in his mind—the despair in full force knowing that he was unable to match against the powers against Gogeta, let alone Bernkastel. He fell on his knees as he stared at the brilliant sky turned into a minefield of diamonds trailing downward.
“I… I can’t do it.”

Ultraman muttered as his eyes turned grey. He wanted to escape—he can’t be a hero nor a seeker of justice. As Bernkastel said. “He was barely an enemy”, what good can Ultraman be as a hero.

[flashback]

“Where the hell is Superman? I can’t sense him anywhere.” Ultraman said.

“It seems that Superman… no, every single Superman had vanished.” Owlman said. “Across the multiverse. You’re the only one here, Ultraman.”

Ultraman’s eyes narrowed. “Then why was I left untouched….?”

“Hmph. Perhaps not even this mysterious force can handle an egomaniac like you?” Superwoman said. “Besides, shouldn’t you be happy? Now you’re the “only tough guy around”… like that means anything.”

[flashback]

“Show me your resolve!!” As the blasts of brilliant lights rained down towards the city.

[flashback]

“There’s a difference between you and me. I don’t kill my foes… I let them live so they can practice their abilities, which inspired me to do the same. That way, I have experience to fighting against those that are able to stand against me. You… Ultraman, are weak. You kill your opponents, so you lack experience of a real challenge. What will you do when faced an enemy you cannot overcome with rage and unable to put that powers of yours into good used?” Superman said with a smile. “Would you run away?”

[flashback]

Ultraman stared to the sky of pure fire as his body shook from fear. The fear of loss, the fear of irrelevancy, the fear of losing whatever he has to maintain himself.

"Prove you are worthy of being called a hero or die a coward!"

In the moment of truth, Ultraman can either stand or allow himself to be swallowed in darkness. Perhaps, it’ll be easier to let Gogeta destroyed the city and himself be turned into a Vortex Coin. No point fighting against the literal powerhouse—yes… this was the thought Ultraman had in his mind.

[flashback]

“So what’s your name?” Hart asked.

“Huh…?” Ultraman stared into Hart’s eyes as he noticed that his cup was empty. “Oh, Ultraman…” He looked up, seeing Hart’s face being confused. “What? Got something to say lady?”

“You don’t look like an Ultraman to me.”

“Huh!? Then what do I look like then!?” Ultraman shouted, but Hart’s smile and the way she looked at him caused him to calm down. Something about her smile made him feel something for the first time, something that not even Superwoman gave.

“You look like…”

[flashback]

[video=youtube]

Ultraman clenched his fists tightly as he held his head up high and leaped upward to the air. The beams of light raining down on the city suddenly changed direction before impact—it went straight to Ultraman instead. The erupting energy was absorbed—and causing him damage—into Ultraman to the point that he was engulfed into a ball of pure light—away from the city, leaving no shockwaves nor affecting the buildings around its vicinity. In the ball of light, a figure can be seen as he slowly raise his head. Arching his back as he scream as loud as he can as the energy poured into his body—unlike Gogeta, his body did not expand. As the energy absorbed within his body, a golden flair shine from his body like a raging sun as his eyes color changed to a mixture of green, blue, and gold. As the damage is present on his face, losing his right eye in the process, the Kryptonian stood in silence for a couple of seconds.

“I am no hero, nor am I a coward.” The Kryptonian spoke, raising his hand in the air. “I am…” A sudden blow of three strikes landed on Gogeta despite the considerable amount of distance between them—each landing precise hits on the fusion and sending shockwaves in directions that doesn’t affect the city. The golden flair glittered from his body as new clothes appeared around him, as he lost his signature curl, becoming wavier along with the rest of his hair. His eyes is filled with stronger determination than before—a change had occurred. After the first initial strikes, an barrage of rapid blows erupted on the fusion—but they left no shockwaves despite the power behind them.

“Me.”

-----

A lone helicopter was hovering in the sky that managed to catch some fraction of the battle—only showcasing Gogeta’s declaring himself as a villain as he rain down destruction on the city, and Ultraman seemingly stopping it.

“D-did you see that Chad?” Stacy witnessed with her own eyes. “This is unbelievable.”

“Y-yeah…” Chad clears his throat. “No wonder our peers wanted us to see it with our very own eyes.”

Bara grunted in pain at this, thankfully her control over her Body Manipulation allowed each particle to grow back into a mini-sized Bara, before each of them fired several teleporting energy spheres at the first Coin Hunter, before reassembling to become Bara herself, who then launched a large energy sphere, being the Vanishing Ball, towards the coin hunter, which was then followed by a fierce Mouth Energy Wave, using the energy wave to distract the coin hunter, before she detatched parts of herself and sent them towards him, each part turning into sawblades, ready to cut into the coin hunter as if to get payback for what the Coin Hunter just did.

"Like YOU are one to talk!" The Majin snarled at him during this.

Cross says "Who did say I underestimated you." As a shadow trayed to stab the Coin hunter that Cross was speaking too(from behind).

All battle with in the apartment

The fell and as what ever it fell on began to hover and started to go after Pinch and the other coin hunters. The rest went back to the Bigger wisp as it made more Jacks and wisps.

Gogeta eyed the transformation Ultraman underwent in silence, his arms lowering. His shocked stare took hold from the sudden strikes on his body, floating back a bit and barely steadying himself as the barrage soon unleashed on his body. He rocketed around from the multiple strikes, and he suddenly let out a thunderous shockwave of energy in every direction to break the small combo.

He panted lightly, his grin rising a bit as he steadily floated down to the street level. Gogeta lowered his arms a bit for a moment, staring Ultraman down with a cocky smirk before flicking his arms out and up in his signature battle stance.

"Heh...those hurt a bit. That heat and pressure...that calm energy around you...it's like I'm fighting Ultra Instinct."

Gogeta crouched down slightly, preparing to leap.

"Show me more!"

The fusion suddenly closed the gap to Ultraman in the blink of an eye, the cement and ground exploding upward from the sudden dash. Gogeta's eyes had narrowed into the same, ferocious stare he had when unleashing his power and focus purely on one target: the fists he flung forward each with purpose to overwhelm and stagger Ultraman once more. Three punches flew forward first at undetectable speed; an attempt to punch his stomach with the right fist, his left swinging up in a heavy uppercut, and his right elbow flying forward in an attempt to smash his elbow into Ultraman's cheek.

If successful, Gogeta's left leg would lung forward in a direct kick at Ultraman's right shin, flinging his right leg up shortly after to try and slam into Ultraman's hip.

Cuki was feeling the immense pain from the collision the Coin Hunter did against her body as well as the punches he inflicted on her. She had to take a moment to take a step back and catch her breath until she noticed the large sword made of light attempt to slam on to her. As it slammed down, debris and dust flew all over, indicating that Cuki might have been hit. There was a small pause before the Coin Hunter would begin to feel the sword move on the other end. As the rubble disappeared, Cuki was seen holding the end of the sword above her head so it would not slash her. Her left hand was entirely white as she kept her grip on the blade her arm shaking to keep her strength up and against the Coin Hunter. Her right hand lifted into the air as the mist and fog began to surround it, hiding it completely from view.

"I have done nothing other than being good to those around me, yet you subject me to rage warranted to the others," Cuki said in her dual voice as she pulled her arm out of the mist to show her entire arm encased in a semi-transparent metallic skewer, smaller than the Coin Hunter's sword. "If you wish to lump me with the actions of the others, THEN SO BE IT!"

Cuki pulled her arm back and thrust it forward to jab the Coin Hunter right on the shoulder while crashing through buildings and rubble. As Cuki continued to crash through buildings, the spike stabbed through the armor and, eventually, the Coin Hunter. The shoulder of the Coin Hunter would begin to have similar metallic spikes come out from her shoulder and spread across her entire right side. From this point, Cuki's eyes were no longer the calm and peaceful green but chilling and ominous blue. The young Saiyan's innocent and joyous face was full of hatred, rage, and distrust. A meer look into Cuki's eyes would not only send shivers down anyone's spine but also show the immense distrust she harbored. It was odd, it was like looking at two beings who harbored the same pain.

Bernkastel watched the blasts rain down on Ultraman in anticipation for what he'd do next, her eyes wide as she stared from afar. For a mere split second, she saw the look in his eyes waver-- just a moment. She didn't expect him to tank the attack head-on, unblinking despite the blinding light.

With her grin ear to ear, she giggled in manic glee. "Kihihihihi! Magnificent! Truly magnificent! It's so wonderful, it makes my blood boil! Let's GO FOR THE GOLD! Hyahaaaa!"

Bernkastel spread her arms out as five blue beams of magic energy arched out from her, the lines following a serpentine curvature as they sailed through the air towards Ultraman from behind while Gogeta struck at his front. Darting through the air erratically, the beams had 'arrowheads' like the heads of snakes, iridescent in the light. Their bites would feel like puncture wounds, but they would detonate as an energy explosion rather than simply stab into him.
