The Reality Vortex: New Roads

Gogeta’s eyes both turned inward, cross eyed staring at his bang in confusion as Bernkastel batted his singular bang admist being nuzzled within his spiky hair. He reached up, happily stroking the back of the cat’s neck from within his hair now that he had regained minimal function in his casted arms thanks to Cross’ healing spell.

He suddenly let out a loud yawn, rising up out of his seat on the couch.

“Sleep does sound really good right now, I’m beat! C’mon little buddy, you can sleep in my room tonight!”

Gogeta sauntered to the closest room he could find, his only method of discerning rooms in making sure he didn’t walk into the ones he saw the other Breakers disappear into already. Grinning, he lightly sprung forward into the air, gently crashing onto the soft mattress after promptly shutting the door.

“These beds are even comfier then mine back home! The Breakers have it made here!”

Cross says in a very as matter of fact "If I listed all them we would be hear till the end of this eternity." A book on a very esoteric subjective appears in his hand. Cross finds a nice seat and starts to read.

Cross says "you kids have a good night."

On her turn, Brachi retreated to her own chamber, seeking the solitude to meditate. It was obvious she still missed her friends deeply, especially Gervene and Majin Bara... and even though she kept the Bara coin with her, she wanted her friend back in the flesh with her. Once she sat down on the floor of her room, she proceeded to meditate, hoping that this would at least calm her mind enough to process what had happened, where she had gone wrong and how she would be able to fix her mistakes and avoid any future disasters.

The day was finally over as the Breakers retired to their rooms, with the newly recruited adjusted to their new living spaces. In the meanwhile, Spina stared at the ceiling, thinking about what had transpired today.

“3 damn long years. Doesn’t feel like much time had passed…” The Saiyan talked to himself. “And yet, so much things have happened….”

It was an exhausting day. Although the Breakers had plenty of problems with frequent challengers throughout the years, it never escalated to this level.

“Would you watch them fall into the preying hands of a selfish god over and over, or would you guide them towards a life far more liberating than that? Think carefully now."

Those statements ringed in Spina’s head. Did the Breakers do the right thing by informing the arrivals about their situation and then left them to build a society for themselves? Should they have more influence on them with their strength? "Perhaps Ultraman was right about us being so inactive, and letting things get out control. Perhaps that was Voice expected us to do? No... Voice seemingly looked eager to have a population on his own."

Spina thought about the Ultraman battle and their overall reputation. Their reputation is tanking like a sinking stone in an ocean. What would be the appropriate approach on dealing with these kinds of situations? Brachi sprung off and nearly choke Ultraman. Gogeta loses his mind when it comes to battle and goes for the absolute kill. Even Cuki step out of line and snapped.

“When one acts out and they cannot be controlled through reasonable and rational means, you have to dealt with them accordingly with strength. Make them fall in line or break them to do so.”

Spina placed his arm over his head. “Best to get some sleep….”

Morning – Cuki’s Apartment Complex v25

The stars barely risen over the horizon and Spina was already up and ready. He was outside, attending to his garden. Watering the plants to grow beautiful flowers, delicious vegetables (even though he personally isn’t fond of them) and wide range of fruits. When not training or caught up in a scenario, he’s usually at the garden.

“Alright, that should do it…” Spina tipped his sun hat, impressed of what he has accomplished. He heard flocks of crows, the colors of their feathers flicker from one to another instantly. When these birds appears, it will give an indication that morning had come.

The flock of crows opened their beaks wide and let out a devastating shriek; it sounds like a man screaming in absolute agony.

“Morning… better get things ready for the halfwit.” Spina put away his gardening tools in the shed as the crows continues. Heading to the training area building that sits outside of the apartment complex. It was a room that contain the ability to expand greatly on the inside, even when the building doesn’t seem huge when looking from the outside view.

Pressing a button, it turned a regular room into a barren wasteland. Once he chosen the appropriate area, he jumped on a rock and sat there, waiting for Gogeta to show up.

--------

The crows flung around the apartment, utterly screaming to alert that morning has come. They peck against the windows, so their screams can echo from the glass throughout the house.

Cross thinks as he finished another book on a esoteric subject "That time already."

A loud, obnoxious alarm clock rung out consistently in strong, timed beeps in the room alongside the heavy pecking of the crows. However, despite the small bit of sunlight trickling into the room housing Gogeta and Bernkastel with the loud alarm ringing, Gogeta happily snored and laid completely sprawled out on the bed. His loud snores were almost as loud as the beeping alarm, perfectly off beat and filling the void of sound in between each alarm beep and crow peck while he continued to sleep through the alarm set for the exact time needed to meet Spina.

Bernkastel's ears flicked in direction of the blaring alarm and sound of screeching crows, letting out a low growl from being stirred awake so soon after she got used to Gogeta's thunderous snores. Not that it mattered, since the sleep she got was just a restless dream of her past. It didn't feel nostalgic to dream about Lambdadelta anymore, it just made her pine for someone that wasn't there anymore. Which was a new feeling to get used to as she used to handle long periods of time without seeing that girl's face by herself. Bernkastel was surrounded by people but deep inside she was still alone.

From the dark tufts of hair on Gogeta's head, Bern's head popped out with a cat's yawn, looking around to find the alarm before remembering that he was supposed to be up for training with Spina. She peered over his forehead to see he was clearly still sleeping like a log, huffing through her nose as she hopped onto his chest.

"Wake up, you fool."

... He didn't move. Bernkastel tried again, with a firmer tone in her voice, but it didn't make the man budge. Letting out an annoyed feral yowl of a cat, she sat on the pillow and bit onto his ear to forcefully tug at it so he could wake up.

"TIME TO GET UP, YOU NIMROD!"

Gogeta's ear stretched at the mercy of Bernkastel's bite, his head rocking around the bed from the force of her tugging. However, the fusion remained happily locked in his deep slumber despite the cat's current efforts, his loud snoring ringing out without missing a beat.

Cuki barely slept the night, constantly thinking and making plans to stop the Coin Hunter. She groaned at the crows cawing and pecking at her balcony window and knew she did not sleep the night. She rose to her feet and stretched her body until she heard her joints pop and bones crack. Overnight she piled up some notebooks on various plans on how to approach and defeat the Coin Hunter. Most of her plans were thrown out but there were a few she worked on. She glanced at the remnants of the mirror she owned, slapping herself awake and fixing her hair.

"Alright, it's showtime."

Cuki left her room with a notebook in hand as she made her way to the kitchen. She was quick to prepare some tea for herself and write down a few more notes in her notebook. It was odd since she did not say her usual good mornings or even offer to make breakfast. Her mind was entirely focused on her notes.

Hold on... every time he's about to change, the Coin Hunter said something. He said something like 'Powering up Coin' then the name of whatever the coin was. Wait a second..! I think he can't change his coins without announcing them! If that's the case then--

Cuki's train of thought was disturbed by the loud alarm clock blaring from Gogeta's room. Her eyes narrowed before she closed her notebook and growled under her breath. She opened one of the cabinets and pulled out a frying pam before heading over to Gogeta's room. When she opened the door she was even more bothered by how loud he snored and flatten her ears on top of her head. She lifted the pan over Gogeta's head but stopped noticing Bernkastel.

"Oh, pardon me, Bernkastel."

The young Saiyan gently lifted the kitty into her arms and on to the floor. She gave her a little scratch on the head before turning back to Gogeta. She did not hesitate to slam the frying pan on his face, not caring if she hurt him or not. It was odd for Cuki to be needlessly cruel, particularly to Gogeta but one can argue it is her lack of guidance or Bernkastel's influence. It was hard to tell but it was certainly a little off from her usual character. A smile formed on her face, seemingly enjoying beating Gogeta awake with a frying pan. It did not seem she would stop hitting him even if he did wake up.

"Wake up, brute! Your snoring makes it hard to think and your alarm clock woke up the entire city! You got training today, so gather that destructive energy and make yourself useful!"

The pan slamming into Gogeta’s face did little to wake the fusion, however. His arms flopped and flailed as his body rag dolled from under Cuki’s aggressive strikes, but Gogeta’s blissful and happy snores continued loudly in the room as he remained fast asleep through the beating.
