Good Days

"I am rather distasteful of all the atrocities that have bestowed on you. It's rather... disgusting, to say the least." Artic nodded and touched a button on her gauntlet. "However, do you have any more information about this Nep character? I believe it's humorous that such a horrible being possesses a childish name... I'll keep the information recorded on my gauntlets to aid my comrades."

"Yeah, any idea where they're all holed up?" Damara said, made a bit uncomfortable by the waterworks of the poor puppy. "Who knows what they're doing with all the money coming in from selling this stuff..."

Lightwave's battle cry moved Mex. "So cool!" Mex thought to himself.

Perrito smile and bow to Lightwave. "Once again, I cannot thank you enough!" He wipe away the tears. "It's quite alright. You must know the enemy if you are attempt to topple their efforts and free our people." He responded to both Ross and Artic.

"Nep and his gang, according to what I gather, are called "Jackers", where they will hijack a planet to take their resources and sell it to the market." Perrito said. "The hundred men seems to be mechanical warriors or at least wearing some heavy armor. We don't know where they originated from, but they are highly skilled in combat. Nep... My people and I only saw him once. He appeared to be a man in armor from head to toe. His face was never revealed. He spoke in a sinister tone..." Perrito paused for a moment before speaking again. "He has large fists that is heavily coated in powerful Chi. My people are not fit for combat, so he easily slaughtered all of us as if we were nothing."

"So, this Jackers folks... they're pretty strong, huh?" Mex seems interested of their strength.

"Yes, they are truly an formidable group. I don't think anyone can stand against that." Perrito said. "N-not that I have any doubts, but these are truly terrifying... as where they are located... they are over there mine-field, about 15 km south from our location. It has a single, large factory that towers everything we had ever built. It pours thousands of white smokes into the air. It's hard for us to breathe with their destructive work."

The construction of the hut for the group was finished. This lead all the smaller puppies to surround the group. First, the small ones seems to be curious of Artic. They began to played around her tail as if they were lost in a trance.

Secondly, they looked up to Damara. As their beanie eyes started onto Damara's, they asked her an question.

"Whoa! A single eye! Can you see better with one eye?" One of them asked.

The other group surround Neatnik. They don't seem to be afraid of his appearance. In fact, they are rather curious. "They say Good Days is strong! Are you strong, mister?" One of them asked Neatnik.

Ross thinks "We are defiantly not facing normal thugs. I faced worst odds before." Ross says nicely "Mex I think you may be getting that fight you wanted."

Neatnik's eyes widened a little. He was surprised the puppies weren't afraid of him. That's a first...

"Yes, we Good Days are strong." He answered. He patted one of them on the head. They were so adorable. "You're not scared?

"Interesting. This Nep person sounds like he wishes to compensate for something. Sounds rather pathetic if you ask me. I'm not impressed but fear not small puppers, we will assist you."

Artic poked at her gauntlet and a small hologram appeared from it. She typed away at a pad on her gauntlet which showed many symbols, all native to her race. As she added information about Nep to aid them later on, she felt something paw and play with her tail. She instantly jutted forward and seemed shocked, almost scared. It was obvious she took too much pride in her tail. She noticed the small puppies and grabbed her tail, hugging it close to her body while gently waving them off.

"Ayiyiyi! Stop! Halt! Desist! Abstain! Cease your actions, please!" Artic's cheeks turned a hue of pale blue. She seemed a bit embarrassed. "I implore you to please not touch my tail! As beautiful, refine, majestic and dignified it is, it's a tad sensitive when not in battle. I highly urge you young puppers to resist the crave of touching such a magnificent tail."

Artic frowned slightly, having a soft spot for the puppies. She didn't know if she should let them play or remain prideful of her tail.

"Using Chi like that with armor... I guess our work will be cut out for us." Damara said, feeling a bit less invigorated by the prospect of who they were fighting. If that guy lands one hit on me, I'm gonna get pulverized... better keep him at a distance. Same with his underlings.

She stopped thinking when she saw lots of little puppies approach her about her large eyeball. "I can see pretty far, at least, I think so. How is it to see with two tiny ones?" Damara answered with her own curious question. "It ain't 'funny looking' for you folks?" She seemed to like the attention, at least far more than the kind she had gotten from during the ceremony.

Lightwave went into the now constructed hut, sheathing his sword.

"Possibly mechanical, at the very least heavy units... A hundred of them... I'll have to use my mass combat teachings from the Academy... If they are robots could I chain together exploding their power sources?" He asked himself.

[Sorry for the late response, college had eaten away my time to do any serious posting.]

Mex cracked his knuckles as he smile from cheek-to-cheek. The thought of a challenge excites him and he's eager to test out strength of these opponent. "I definitely hope so, Ross. This is making me pretty excited. Whatever these 'Jackers' people are, bring them on!" He suddenly remembered something and turned to Perrito. "Hey, Mr. Leader." He asked, seems that he forgotten his name. "What's with the black smoke from earlier? We when first arrived here, there was a huge cloud of black smokes emerging from your campsite."

"We were... honoring our fallen brothers and sisters, killed by the savage Jackers." Perrito's voice shifted to a sad tone once again. "So we burn the crystal gathered from the ground--it released a black smoke as an result. We believe that it helps them pass to the afterlife."

"Ah... sorry for saying that. I didn't mean any disrespect." Mex apologized.

"It quite alright, you're here. All of us are honor to have you guys stay here and put an end to this misery." Perrito stated. "But I see that the children are quite attracted to the atmosphere you lots have brought... so this is Good Days."

The puppies continued to gather around Neatnix, they were not afraid of his appearance. One of the puppies spoke up when Neatnix prompt them with a question. "Why would we be afraid of you, mister?"

"Yeah! We are never afraid of our heroes!" Another spoke out. "Can you really stop those big mean bad guys?"

The puppies continued to play around with Artic's tail, some of them tried to swing it around like a jump-rope. "This is pretty interesting! Most of our people don't have long tails like this!" What's your secret?" One of them asked Artic.

"We don't see very far!" One of them answered Darama's question. "We usually follow the scent with your nose!"

"Nope! You looked pretty cool with one eye! I wished I had a single eye!" another one of them said.

From afar, a cry for help can be heard. "Perrito! It is time!" was repeated multiple times.

Lightwave stood up, unsheathing his sword back into a one handed stance, grasping around for his shield, eyes turned from curious analyzing into fierce determination.
