"I suppose it started late into the story. The Solaris conflict. My wife then girlfriend at the time, she knew of an ancient weapon my mentors had stashed away long again, was being reawoken. At the time I was fused to my adopted brother Shadow. Constantly struggling for control. But, in the end, we co-developed the Chaos Unfication technique and created Shaden, a proper fusion. Using our combined power, we defeated Solaris and prevented him from wiping out eveything. Though we spared him, now freed from mind control. Me and Shadow defused, and he took off. I spent some time with my lover, until he showed up." Atama said, recollecting old memories bitter sweetly.

"If you have any questions, feel free to ask." Atama stated. "It was when a new enemy showed himself. A man known as Judas the Betrayer. Feeding power from turning on others, he was a super human. No threat to you, but back then, I was sub-human. He wanted to fight me, so I took it to an old church. The two of us, I barely made it out of there alive. Knocked him out with a falling bell. I stumbled out of the church, feeling like a close, victory, and got gun downed by several soldiers stationed outside, waiting for me. I was laying there in a puddle of my own blood, on the verge of death, was a shadow fell over me, and the soldiers suddenly died from bullet wounds. An old ally of mine had come to my rescue, a man who was filled with the power of the demon god known as Chaos. He granted me the gift of his blood, restoring my life. I was thankful for him saving me, but little did I know the curse the blood carried."

"Curse?" Future Xenest parroted, which reminded him of the curses that he carried, as he had demonic power related to the Ansatsuken as well as blood tied to a celestial being known as Orochi, the Eight-Headed Serpent. Strangely enough, those two very powers laid dormant and appeared to be in a controlled state to boot, as neither power was at conflict with each other.

"Those whose veins course with the blood of Chaos are subject to his demonic whisperings. In a few decades, I was involved in a war between the Solarian Empire and a faction intending to forcefully ruin the solar system. In it, I gathered the Armor of Chaos, which had been scattered to prevent any from becoming his pawn. After I defeated the faction's leader aboard an old Star planetary destruction weapon, the war was over, and I had all of the armor. My will was no longer my own. That was the curse, and I paid for it with my life." Atama explained.

"Not, entirely. Despite all my training in the mind, my body was still my weakest point. It could only harbor so much energy at once, it could only sustain so many blows. The blood saved my fading life while I was dying on that hill, but in doing so opened a direct mental channel from my very body to Chaos. Vincent, my ally, he was so used to the dark powers inside him he shut off the voice. I wasn't. I listened to the voice's advice, and gathered the armor, my inclination to obey becoming stronger with each piece. I could've resisted, but I just didn't think of it, never taking the time to judge myself. A few weeks after the war, I ended up at a town, where Vincent had come to put me down. Chaos was directing me as his direct avatar, I was endangering everything I had worked for. So he shot me, six times, as a man on the run. My wife Luna was there, but she couldn't find how to push through. That was the night, I was carried away by a moonlight shadow. Energy burning bullets, who would've thought?"

"The violently way I died left me in a place that was a hollow mockery of my power. I was the Champion of the Dream, a man whose job it was to ensure hope and positive emotion. The Boulevard of Broken Dreams. An endless road in an empty city, alone for eternity. But a divine being took me from this world. This being was in a similar predicament to mine. He was trapped defeating Chaos in battle for eternity. The two of us joined forces, and through me defeating Chaos there purged my body of his blood. The end result of the battle however damaged my body when I was ressurected for what I had done. Once again I was dying. In an instant, two of my mentors and the future incarnation of myself appeared, knowing a way to preserve my life. That, was how the Angel of Darkness, King of the Moon, Atama was born."
