"I doubt something like that will happen..." Future Xenest said as the trip continued on...
After a few days, the strike force entered orbit of the planet Deliani.
"Xenest, we are being hailed by the Gencore Tech Alliance." A Martian replied.
"Open channel." Future Xenest said.
"Martian vessel, this is Transon Lohk of the Gencore Tech Alliance. We have detected your presence through our advanced radar system. State your purpose for being here." A man whom appeared on the viewscreen.
"Our apologies for the sudden alarm, but we're having a group of our foremost friends missing ever since the power surge on Gyges commenced not too long ago. We're hoping to get some information as to how they have been sent into a dimension parallel to ours. They, like us, are from a group whom aided you in fighting off soldiers of the infamous Planet Trade Organization." Future Xenest asked.
"Yes, I recognize you now. We've been trying to make sense of the fact that the planet repaired itself not too long ago, but we could attend to that later. What is it that you seek?" Transon asked.
"One of our vessels whom remained near Gyges reported that there had been a spatial anomaly on the moment the planet Gyges had been destroyed due to the massive power surge. We've been trying to locate it or find an alternative to enter the dimension our friends have been taken into as well as identifying what kind of spatial anomaly had appeared there. We hoped you could have some information that could aid us in our search. If not, or if you're currently too occupied with bringing your own technology up to speed again, we will not hold you up any longer and leave the planet in peace." Future Xenest said.
"Hmmm, I appreciate your consideration. What you may be looking for is a Stargate." Transon said.
"A Stargate?" Future Xenest asked.
"Stargates are big distortions in space. Stargates are believed to be some sort of rift created by a massive black hole. While this theory holds up among science fiction writers, the actual phenomenon behind the stargate is unknown. It has been suggested that these are portions of space created in the big bang which formed the universe. It is believed that time is the "fourth dimension" so therefore it may have quantity and react in the same way as other phenomena. The Stargate in our quadrant appears to either distort time or space, perhaps both. The few ships that have explored the Stargate and returned reported massive changes in location. So massive are these apparent changes that no recognizable constellations have ever been found in any direction from the captains who have passed through. Therefore, there is either a tremendous shift in location or time to produce such unexpected results. No ship so far has spent enough time through the Stargate to determine what the actual result is. This problem is compounded by the fact that independent ship captains have reported arriving in different locations, suggesting the Stargate's destination is not fixed. It has been suggested that if you travel through the stargate to reverse course immediately and head back." Transon said.
"We understand, but we have no intention to leave our friends behind." Future Xenest said.
"Very well. You uphold loyalty to your comrades, which is good. The only stargate we know of is located in a region between the planets Ixmucane and Camanis. But be careful, there may be hostile forces present trying to close the stargate." Transon said.
"Thank you for the information, we will proceed to the planet Ixmucane immediately. Tenochi-01 out." Future Xenest said, closing the channel.
"Helm, order our escorts to form up and set course for the planet Ixmucane, maximum warp." Future Brachi said.
"Our escorts are ready and are maintaining their formation. Co-ordinates for the planet Ixmucane have been received, course laid in." The Martian replied.
"Engage." Future Xenest said, after which the strike group moved towards Ixmucane at maximum warp.
