When there is a walking escort mission and throw in a billion enemies at once for you to fight off. Worse when it's a game over if the person you're trying to protect get hit once.

When you enter a room in the level that's chock full of healing items, and after you get them all and walk toward the back, the game automatically saves so you can't tell if you're going to get the most difficult boss battle ever or not

That grinds my fucking gears xD

When you first start up the game, you can skip the developer's logo, but you can't skip the publisher's logo.

When you make a jump but Crash fucking slips because his damn shoe laces are untied...

"WHOA!" - Crash Bandicoot, N-Sane Trilogy.

The quote that haunts every player's dream.

Insane is right.  :wagh:

Where you're fighting the boss and you wipe the floor with them. Yet, in the cutscene, it shows the boss manhandling you as if you owe him money, and what you did in the boss fight didn't matter.

What's the point of letting me fight him if it doesn't change the outcome?

Can I say I despise the RNG lootbox system in general? I get that it's meant to make you pay money to get multiples at once and increase your chances of getting something good in a small amount of time, but I find it a shady practice for a game that costs 60 bucks retail and requires a special subscription to actually play any of it and does not have any offline/non-competitive content to offer.

During boss battles, where the boss uses a move that hits all players which you can block, but your AI doesn't, leaving you as the one man left standing.

I'm looking specifically at those capable of using that Peeler Storm in Xenoverse 2!

Games that run entirely on a Rock-Paper-Scissors mechanic with no skill involved whatsoever. >_<

Don't get me wrong, there ARE ways to do this right (Pokemon has shades of this and Monster Hunter Stories is this done VERY right) but usually it's just selecting an attack and praying it works. And if your luck is anything like mine, it won't work 90% of the time.

When the only way to defeat a boss is to trip them up and stun lock them because their guard is unbreakable.

When enemies stun lock you and take you from 100 to 1 in an instant.

When the combo doesn't register so you fall to your death a few times trying to use a combo move to clear a gap.

When you nearly finish a boss and then get hit once by the adds and die, wasting twenty minutes.

Screw the Force Unleashed 360 version.

this isn't a general thing but I absolutely despite Hanzo's scatter arrow and its bullshit kill physics

how is it when I aim at the floor and do it, nobody is killed but someone always snipes me with that thing from 20 meters away at 2 hp!?

Luck-based minigames in a game that usually rewards skill, like the stupid pachinko machine level in Super Mario Sunshine.

When the game goes out of it's way of having a super hard boss battle and the awards you get afterward is no longer worth it.

Breakable weapons in a dungeon game and the overreliance on using items to prepared them; otherwise, they are lost forever.

Yeah unskippable cutscenes before a boss fight suckkkkk. Especially if you keep losing again and again and agaaaainnn.

cliffhanger endings when there is no sequel to the game  :notrust:
