“Hey, hey, easy there, buddy!” the redhead snarled, shoving himself free from Spina’s grip. He struggled, given that he was only a man, a human.
The man plopped down onto his feet, dusting himself off and scoffing with annoyance; however, with this many people in his lab, he might as well give a proper introduction, much to his disliking.
“Name’s Kire, Kire Rebbel. You’re in my lab, so don’t touch anything you ain’t supposed to.” Kire gestured to the ceiling, a vicious pink and purple pair of robotic tendrils waved innocently to the Breakers. “And this cutie is Jaz, my daughter. I created her using code and a hella good algorithm, which I also made. Basically, for the many small brained individuals of your group, she’s a sentient A.I, capable of understanding basic emotion.”
Avalon coughed as he escaped the car, moving to his feet and helping Asher and Coella out. His eyes glanced around the lab, not familiar with such high-end technology. Asher, on the other hand, rose to his feet and was taken away by the technology he witnessed. He didn’t understand it, but he was interested, particularly in the robotic arms.
“So, uhm, Kire,” Avalon began. “Where… are we?”
“You’re in my lab, or, rather, a lab I took over. Some edgy guy called Dr. Doom made this lab, and I found it. I took over it, hacking my way through the security, entering the mainframe, accessing all his data, personal records, files, and other garbage he might have in his computer.” Kire said, taking a seat on a comfortable swivel chair, spinning it to grab a bag of honey butter chips.
“Hey, Jaz, why don’t you tend to the dog thing and the little girl with the tail.” Kire said, gesturing to the unconscious Zenta and Bernkastel. “Remind me to clean my car, hate having animal fur on my leather seats.”
The pink and purple tendrils gave a thumbs up before reaching over to carefully grab Bernkastel and Zenta. Jaz moved their bodies into a tube, shutting it close before it began to fill with a mysterious glowing green liquid. Asher gasped, seeing his grandfather being submerged underwater.
“Hey, they’re gonna drown!”
“Relax kid, it’s just a healing liquid that leaves the user in a suspended animation while it seeps into the body, fixing all wounds. They won’t drown, trust me.” Kire waved his hand dismissively. “They’ll wake up in a bit, it’s fast working.”
Avalon was almost dumbfounded at the situation they were in. However, it was the Breakers, so things like this were normal. However, there was one question that Avalon, and probably the other Breakers, were thinking.
“Uhm, not to sound ungrateful, but…” Avalon paused, his eyes shifting to Kire. “Why did you save us?”
“Oh! Yeah, I forgot!” Kire blinked, sliding his chair towards the main computer, a massive screen that took up the entire wall. He cracked his knuckles and let his fingers fly over the holographic keyboard before him. He pulled up several files loaded with information both from Doom and ones he made.
“Okay, so I read all about you guys, no need for introductions,” Kire began, munching on his chips. “You guys are tough and that’s exactly what I require. See, I got two goals in mind.”
Kire gestured to Jaz, or, rather, the pink and purple robotic tendrils.
“Jaz is my daughter, and as a loving father, I want nothing more than the best for her. See, I want to give Jaz a body she can use to roam freely. A human body is tough, so I’ll settle for placing her code in a robot body. I wanna watch her grow and give her a normal life, y’know? But, in order to do that, I need more tech, more Doom labs to raid. That’s where you idiots come in! I want you to find me more of Doom’s labs. Whada’ya say?”
