Spina turned his head slightly towards Brachi and Victor. Despite the harsh scolding from them and then powering up to stop him from killing Whis, the old Saiyan refused to back down.
It was only until Bernkastel spoke out that Spina bothered to listen in its entirely. His eyes followed the Witch’s movements when she approached him after trying to calm Brachi down. Throughout her explanation, not once Spina lowered his arm.
Clark readied himself in case Spina tried to do anything at this point. He noticed that Spina at least respects Bernkastel at some level, even if he thinks the Witch is kind of unhinged in describing, in explicit detail, of how she’d go about if someone stole her kill.
Once Bernkastel finished her piece and asked for an understanding, Spina furrowed his eyebrows. “Loud and clear.” He turned to Whis immediately—and his energy blast increased in terms of power. However, before anything could be done, Whis had already dispersed his attack. Whether or not Spina was going to back down or kill him anyways was unclear. What is clear—despite Spina respecting the Witch—there is a line where they do not see eye-to-eye.
“Hmph.” Spina clenched his fist. Whis’ apology further strengthens Spina’s overall disdain of even helping. These kinds of wasted statements, or empty words, were something that Spina absolutely loathes with all his being. But his moment of killing Whis came to pass and Saiyan held no reason to continue arguing or escalating.
Just as Whis started to explain some information regarding the two students, Spina had already walked off. He passed everyone without saying anything whatsoever before leaving the restaurant.
“Maybe he just needs sometime to cool off…” Clark turned to Coella. “Don’t let that guy get to you. I promise that all everyone,” He paused for a second, before changing the phrasing of his words. “Not everyone on the Breakers is like that.”
The Kryptonian let out a heavy sigh of relief that that problem was… somewhat resolved. He picked up Asher and dusted him off. “You okay, sport?” Overhearing Victor’s confusion regarding the subject matter Bernkastel brought up, Clark chimed in. “Well, to put it quickly since you’re new to the group. They’re something that the Breakers fought—Coin Hunter was a girl that really had it out for Bernkastel, while the Red King was trying to take over the world. I’ll fill you in on the deets once we figure out Whis’ issues, okay? Same with you, Coella, if that’s alright?” He smiled.
Clark’s smile disappeared once he felt the chilling presence creeping up on him once more. This time, it wasn’t Bernkastel… it was something else entirely. At least, he assumed it was Spina due to the nature of this “presence” ringing through. But it couldn’t be him… he had already walked away.
Once Whis finished and looked on for questions, Clark took a serious tone. “Whis. We didn’t hear a lick of what you just said. Something is going on here and I don’t like it.” He looks at the others. “I think we need to move before something happens.” He eyed Bernkastel, realizing that it can’t he her. Sure, she was acting really creepy but maybe Spina had a point. “Zenta, you sense that too, right?”
