Damn the Celeste drawing is so cool! You can feel the whole vibe/ambiance of the drawing by how you use certain dark colors and shading! I think thats a very necessary skill to have to be able to draw a good story/comic. B)
Lol the glow is something i need to figure out myself too, everytime i feel like i understand it, i wait so long to actually try it out and then by the time i need, it ive already forgotten how to. XD

That means a lot Pinks! I don't think I'm quite cut out to make a weekly webcomic like some artists, but simple comics WAS in the plan this year so your encouragement makes it feel lot less daunting!
And I feel your pain, I LOVED the way I used to color and shade hair and eyes, but I ended up forgetting how! :'( I gotta practice getting back to that old style again. Thankfully I save all my SAI files so I can just look at the layers closely while I practice it in a separate window.

I've had Corel Painter Essentials on my computer 5ever and decided to finally sit down and actually learn how to use it... it's definitely not as intuitive as SAI but the brushes are very fun to try out their effects. Decided to do a 'photo study' type of thing-- it's a lot like replicating something but I wanted to experiment while doing it, so it isn't an exact match. The picture is the cover art for Condemned: Criminal Origins (an awesome old horror game from 2006... for its ambient horror, not the story. The writing is nonsense lol)
I added police tape to compensate for the fact I couldn't quite make out the bottom half of the person's face since it was covered with chains + some weird noise filter making everything grainy. The yellow is washed out to match the look of the cover art. No editing in post has been made, I only used brushes with adjusted grain and chalk where needed. Chains are hard to paint.

Next is a Met-Gala inspired design for my OC, Cernia-- this file is actually almost 3 years old. I ended up redrawing much of it and adjusted her color palette. Her horns finally match... let's hope I draw them the same way each time from now on lmaoooo
This was a huge endeavor to do so I left it as flatly colored. I don't plan to make this part of her usual design, it was just a fun experiment in how extra I could get designing it. Shoes are hard.
This is a WIP I'm lining right now, but I'm putting it here because she's another part of my Underworld death metal OC band. Hypnos is the personification of sleep, so I wanted to make her look like a sleepy lady.
In contrast to Nemesis, she sings with a soft voice that is capable of putting you to sleep. She does the non-screamo backup vocals and sometimes sings ballad-style solos. I'm thinking of having her play the synthesizer as her instrument.
Her overall palette is probably going to be a mix of blues, navies, and black.
She's laying down on her bed, I'm just too lazy to fill in the detail much rn. head might be too big but tbh idc
Speaking of which, I cleaned up the sketch of Nemesis I did. Can't stand how graphite looks so close up, it makes the entire thing look like shit since my pencilwork is sloppy
I can only do so much work in one sitting before staring at my laptop screen makes me feel sick, so this is all for today... hope y'all liked dis

Nemesis! I decided to make her wear white and black facepaint and be inhumanly pale. She fights monsters a lot for fun, hence all the creepy scars on her. She wins almost every time though
As before, Nemesis is best friends with another new OC I made-- Grimmy!!!!
She is a shinigami, whose real name is Grimilda (but she likes to be called Grimmy because it sounds cuter). She's the grim reaper's daughter and is supposed to be next in line after her old man retires, but she's actually terrible at the job... So she reaps Monster souls instead of human ones until her dad decides to un-ground her! Her eyes turn red when she performs special Reaper attacks. Grimmy isn't part of the Death Metal Underworld band (still lack a name for it...) but she's a big fan of them and often they go out to wreak havoc on monsters together. Girls Night!

I feel I made the head slightly larger than I should've but that's on me, I didn't do a rough skeleton like I normally do to measure out proportions. Still, I had fun! I'll be trying a different sprite-- probably the angry one
And last but not least: my Boogaverse OC Eleanor!!!! Originally I gave her a jumpsuit thing, but changed it to a tank top and pants to fit her basic 'just got out of Ye Olde Prison lol' look
I made a base for Eleanor so if you want her drawn in an outfit (liiiiiike a Hooter's uniform or.... seifuku... fufufu), speak your wish and I will grant it, it will be fairly fast. It's got white space so I can slap text into it.

Yes, Mioi has a mouth, she just has it behind a wall of skin she rips open to eat. It's gross. Oh, and she can talk just fine, she just has a lisp cause of how huge her teef are. Nothin' wrong with that.

This shouldn't have taken me a week of sporadic drawing to finish, but it did since I don't really draw every day like I should be doing. but I'm trying to minimize unnecessary strain to my left hand. (and surprise surprise, I post it way past peak viewing time, like I always do... lol)
Didn't really know what her right mitten-hand was doing in the original sprite, but it feels sinful of me to draw her hand wrapped over her titty like that so just pretend she's got an invisible purse strap she's holding onto. I realized too late I could've added a purse but I'm sick of looking at this so just TAKE IT!!!! :sob:

Hahaha, yeah it is Pickle Rick. There was a weird meme that went around of different characters/image macros with the text "I kid you not, he turned himself into a pickle! Funniest shit I've ever seen"... there's also ones that start with the character explaining who Rick is and that he turned himself into a pickle. I don't quite understand why this meme returned in such a format but my interpretation of it is that it's meant to reference the mixed response that Pickle Rick episode got. I figured Mioi would be the 1 person who actually thought it was funny xd
But thank you, I'll see if I can get my tablet driver to work later today and see if my hands remember how to draw lmao
