Jericho snoozed lightly

Zytaveon was fast asleep but thanks to his long time without water, his skin seemed to be peeling slightly. He scratched himself, causing a couple of his scales to fall off, dull and void of color.

John sat silently in his little office space, writing down notes and the tabs on how each pirate was doing. While Marina slept, he made sure to keep a healthy dose of water by her cell. He offered the other prisoners water as well. He sighed in relief to finally have a bit of peace and quiet. He took this moment to lean his head against his desk and close his eyes, taking a small nap.

Eventually a passing guard meandered past the pile of hay Zora had been hiding in. She heard the quiet clink of keys, so she knew it was time to strike.

She swung her belt so it would wind around the man's neck, swiftly grabbing the returning end and pulling back harshly so he would fall into the pile with her. Other than a few choked noises, he lost consciousness after a few more moments of applied pressure.

"Gotcha." Zora reached down and snagged the keys from the guard's belt before promptly covering him completely in the hay. She jingled the keys slightly to signal to Bleck that she nabbed them successfully, popping her head out of the side of the bale.

Florence had been escorted to her residence for the night after entrusting the set of assigned Dragon Eye members with the night shift. Having several prizes in her cell, she felt like there was no need for her to waste time being awake.

Jericho awoke and yelled to John, "If you aren't too far asleep, what time is it?"

John quickly woke up, startled. He looked to the cells and finally comprehended the question asked. He frowned slightly and looked at his wrist. He squinted to get a better view and yawned. He turned to Jericho.

"It's about 3:30 in the morning..." He rubbed an eye. "Why?"

"My manna regenerates soon. just wanna be ready for it."
Jericho moved to a somewhat meditative stance

(*Adele voice* Hello.... it's me...)

Marina was waking up, but not from Jericho's yelling alone. She was already becoming bothered with the severe itching brought on by the removal of her scales on her arms. "Ugh..." she fumbled in the dark to take off the bandages and began to scratch at the scabbed-over areas. "They took them all..." Marina barely managed to hold back a sob, remembering what Florence said to her.

"Be lucky we didn't take off the pretty ones on your legs. Then you certainly wouldn't be moving. Perhaps we should remove your nails as well, so you can know your place among humans."

That woman is a monster... Marina thought. Any dim moonlight illuminated her wide eyes.

Jericho's mana began filling quickly, "Looks like theres a lot here..." he murmured "anybody want an enchantment?"

"Hey, you, Johnny boy." Zyon whispered with a slightly raspy voice. He seemed very dehydrated. "Think you can give me some water or something? Kinda parched over here..."

John glared at Zyon and let out a sigh. He offered him one bottle of water and noticed that his skin was getting dull and flaky. He tilted his head knowing this was usually a thing only present in mer-people.

"Are you... a merman?" John questioned softly.

Zyon opened the bottle and tossed the cap at John's forehead before moving back into a corner in his cell. "Pssh, no! I'm not a frilly fish man! I'm a legendary treasure hunter."

John rolled his eyes before checking on Marina. He didn't say a thing to her and dropped the frequent bottle of water for her. He was hesitant about asking her a question.

"Ehh, Marina..? What's the matter?" John said softly. "You look upset about something..."

Jericho, (with a slight sense of boredom at the slowness, or lack, of current events) took interest in Marina, examining her face from range, and summoning a small mote of light just near her face.
