GTA San Andreas: Special Vehicles Guide

This post will explain how to obtain an unique Light Blue Pony van from the mission 'Toreno's Last Flight'. This van has a unique light blue body color, which means that you won't find this color of the van anywhere within regular traffic, nor can you get this color through a Pay 'n Spray.

gallery673.jpg
Please note that this Pony van can come either with or without the sound system at the back, so if you want to have the back of the van with the sound system, just retry the mission until it spawns with the sound system in the back.

How to obtain this van:

What is needed:
  • Storage space in the Doherty Garage
  • A Rocket Launcher (Heat-Seeking Preferred, you can obtain one when you drive into the airport during the mission 'Mike Toreno' as one of the Heat Seeking Rocket Launcher's spawn points is between the fuel canisters at the northeast of the airport.)
The Steps:
  1. Start the mission 'Toreno's Last Flight' as normal.
  2. When you get to the helipad at the downtown Police Station, you'll see the van standing there. You can choose to either take the van to your garage right away and then return, or otherwise simply
  3. Finish the mission by using the (Heat-Seeking) Rocket Launcher to shoot down Toreno's Helicopter, then take the van and drive it to the Doherty Garage.
  4. Save the game.

This post will explain how to obtain an unique grey slate Sultan car from the mission 'Test Drive'. Aside from the color, this car also comes equipped with a 2x Nitrous pre-installed in the vehicle, allowing for two Nitro Boosts before that goes away. Another thing to note is that this car can be obtained even AFTER you completed the main storyline missions, as 'Test Drive' is an 'asset mission' that is only required to be completed for the 100% Completion run of the game, thus once the mission is available, you can choose to complete it after 'End of the Line' if you'd so desire.

gallery750.jpg
How to obtain this car:

What is needed:
  • Storage space in the Doherty Garage
The Steps:
  1. Start the mission 'Test Drive' as normal, up until you're required to follow Cesar whom is driving an Elegy.
  2. Do NOT follow Cesar; instead drive straight forward after Cesar makes his right turn, which gives you a prompt that you failed the mission.
  3. Drive the car towards the Doherty Garage and store it.
  4. Save the game.

This post will explain how to obtain two vehicles from the mission 'You've Had Your Chips', of which you can choose which one you would like to keep. The vehicles are:

  • A unique Police-Blue Bravura
  • An All-Proof Brown Admiral
gallery758.jpg
The Blue Bravuragallery757.jpgThe All-Proof Brown Admiral

Considering the effort that must be taken to obtain the All-Proof Admiral, make sure you have saved the game BEFORE starting this mission!

How to obtain these cars:

What is needed (bold indicates a mandatory requirement):
  • AT LEAST access to the Rockshore West Safe House, located to the South-East of the Four Dragons Casino. It's available for purchase once you've completed the 'Learning To Fly' mission.
  • Also access to the Whitewood Estates Safehouse, located to the Northwest of the Airfield, which is also the closest to the Sindacco Counterfeit Chips Factory.
  • Body Armor
  • Satchel Charges
  • Sniper Rifle or the Minigun (Sniper Rifle is preferred)
  • Either the AK-47 or the M4 Carbine Assault Rifle to take out opposition quickly.
  • Parachute
The Steps:
  1. Start the mission 'You've Had Your Chips' as normal until you're back outside the Four Dragons Casino and are instructed to move to the Chips Factory.
  2. Go directly to the left towards a set of bushes beside the Four Dragons Casino. The Police-Blue Bravura is hidden there and ready for you to drive.
  3. Drive the Bravura to the Westwood Estate Safehouse and park the car in the garage, provided you've purchased the safehouse beforehand. This is important for later.
  4. Take any other vehicle available (preferrably any parked one to avoid any wanted levels) and head for the Sindacco Counterfeit Chips Factory located in the Whitewood Estates in Las Venturas to continue the mission.
  5. Once inside the factory, do NOT destroy the machines yet! Instead, take out the opposition using any other weapon (by preference an assault rifle) first!
  6. After you've eliminated all opposition, plant the Satchel Charges, but do NOT detonate these yet!
  7. Go outside the factory after planting the charges, and detonate them, this will make the Brown Admiral with Sindacco members appear.
  8. Quickly switch to your Sniper Rifle or the Minigun and kill the driver of the Admiral first, stopping the vehicle and then take out the others! The Admiral will LOSE its All-Proof property once the goons enter the factory, so you have a small window of time to prevent them from doing so!
  9. Enter the Admiral and drive back to the Four Dragons Casino, try to locate and drive through ANY Police Bribes you can find to get rid of any wanted level you may have accumulated.
  10. Once at the back of the Four Dragons Casino, do NOT drive through the mission marker! Instead, park the Admiral just outside the back entrance and leave the vehicle.
  11. Equip the Parachute and strike at the Admiral until flames come out of the hood! Make your way into the Four Dragons Casino Back area, but keep your screen focused on the Admiral!
  12. Let the Admiral explode, then quickly enter the mission Marker to finish the mission.
  13. One the 'Mission Passed' jingle plays, quickly turn to your left and confirm the wreck of the Admiral still being visible on your screen.
  14. Now comes the difficult task of pushing the wreck of the Admiral to the Rockshore West Safe House. Any strong vehicle like a Secucar, Firetruck or any other car may suffice, or spawn a Dozer by using the 'Itsallbull' cheat, which can make the job of pushing the wreck easier. It's also advisable to marking the safehouse's location on the in-game map with a target marker.
  15. Once you've pushed the wreck to the Rockshore West safehouse, make sure the wreck is aligned in the center before pushing the wreck into the garage!!! The wreck has a chance to despawn if it's pushed into the garage at an angle or hits a wall, thus making the wreck disappear and forcing you to redo the mission ALL OVER again!
  16. Once the wreck is in the garage, let the door close, and open it back up to see the fully restored, ALL-PROOF Admiral there for you to use at any time. DO NOT SAVE THE GAME JUST YET!
  17. Drive back to the Whitewood Estates Safe House to confirm the Police-Blue Bravura there first, then save the game!
  18. If done right, you now should have a Bravura with a unique Police-Blue body color and a brown All-Proof Admiral at your disposal.

This post will explain how to obtain an unique Black Perennial from the mission 'Big Smoke', going back to the beginning of the game this time. While it is a bit of a hassle to do, the fact that I'm posting the guide for it here proves it IS possible, giving you a vehicle with a unique color already in the first mission, unless you used the trick to nab the unique pink Voodoo lowrider first as described here.

gallery759.jpg
How to obtain this car:

What is needed:
  • Storage space in the Johnson House Garage
  • Body Armor
  • Any firearm you've picked up, but a sub-machine gun like the Tec-9, Micro-Uzi or MP5 or assault rifle like the AK-47 is recommended
The Steps:
  1. Start the mission 'Big Smoke' as normal, up until you're instructed to go on the bike after the Ballas destroy the Black Perennial. Do NOT get onto the bike just yet.
  2. Push the wreck of the Black Perennial all the way back to the Johnson House Garage. Best vehicle to use for it is a vehicle with a high front, such as a Huntley, Firetruck or Ambulance. Be careful as you may get fired upon by the Ballas, if that happens, jump on top of the wreck and take the pursuing Ballas out. This is where the Body Armor comes in as it will give you just enough protection and time to take the enemies out.
  3. Push the wreck into the garage, making sure it does NOT despawn, then move back so the garage door closes, which will RESTORE the vehicle.
  4. Confirm that the vehicle is restored first, then drive all the way back to where the bike you're supposed to get on is (indicated by a blue marker on the minimap), and continue the mission as normal.
  5. Once you've completed the mission, check the garage if the Black Perennial is still there, just to be sure. If that is the case, go in the Johnson House and save the game.

This post will explain how to obtain a Bullet-Proof Forklift from the mission 'Robbing Uncle Sam'. This vehicle can be obtained simultaneously with the unique green Mesa, of which how to obtain that is described here.

gallery790.jpg
How to obtain this forklift:

What is needed:
  • Storage space in any safehouse garage, Verdant Bluffs would be the closest.
The steps:
  1. Play the mission 'Robbing Uncle Sam' as normal, until you have to get into the van after loading in 6 boxes using the very forklift.
  2. Make sure any opposition is dealt with, then drive the Forklift to any garage of choice, Verdant Bluffs or Johnson House is recommended regarding distance.
  3. Return to Ocean Docks (objective is marked with a blue marker on the minimap) and continue/finish the mission as normal.
  4. Return to the safehouse where you stored the forklift to check on it and 'confirming' it, then save the game.

This post will explain how to obtain an All-Proof Sentinel car from the mission 'The Green Sabre'. This car is a bit tricky to get and requires a mission failure, but if done right, you can enjoy this All-Proof car at anytime.

gallery800.jpg
How to obtain this car:

What is needed:
  • Storage space in any safehouse garage available, for distance purposes it would be wise to go for either the Johnson House or Verdant Bluffs.
  • Body Armor
  • A Minigun with AT LEAST 100 shots! This is the most tricky one as this gun is rare, and the only spot in which this weapon can be safely obtained is from an underground parking garage in Las Venturas, which is normally inaccessible at the time (you can enter Las Venturas, but at the risk of a 4-star wanted level)
The steps:
  1. Play the mission 'The Green Sabre' as normal until you have to go to the Mulholland Intersection to save Sweet.
  2. Drive to the battle zone, but do NOT enter the red marker and do NOT kill ANY of the Ballas!
  3. Use the Minigun and fire AT LEAST 100 shots at the nearest Sentinel. While it initially damages the car, after about 100 shots, it gets converted to an All-Proof state!
  4. Get into the car and drive away to your safehouse, but AVOID the red marker nearby!
  5. Doing this right will eventually give a mission prompt that Sweet has died, which fails the mission. Let this happen and store the vehicle in the garage.
  6. Save the game.
  7. Return to the garage, retrieve the Sentinel and fire at it with whatever is left of any Minigun ammo you have or even the Sawn-off Shotgun, or use Molotovs or whatever other weapon you now want to use on it. If you see that the vehicle does NOT take damage from that (not counting popped tires), you've got yourself an All-Proof Sentinel to use at your leisure.

This post will explain how to obtain an All-Proof Sanchez bike from the mission 'Badlands'. As stated before, All-proof means that a vehicle is Bullet/Damage/Explosion/Fire/Melee-proof, meaning it can NOT be destroyed by 'conventional' means, unless you hit it enough times while wearing a parachute, dump the vehicle in the water, or tip it upside down (in case of cars) for example.

gallery803.jpg
How to obtain this bike:

What is needed:
  • Storage space in any safehouse garage available, this includes the garages at the Palomino Creek and Dillimore Safehouses (provided you purchased those) as well as the Doherty Garage in San Fierro (which is accessible by this point, even BEFORE it becomes an actual save point).
  • Body Armor (for protection against the feds)
  • A few weapons (Shotgun, Grenades, Sub-machine gun), for both defense against the Feds as well as to test the bike as described below.
The steps:
  1. Play the mission 'Badlands' as normal until you arrive at the snitch's hideout at Mount Chiliad. Kill the feds, but NOT the snitch!
  2. Let the snitch enter the parked car so they'll try to make their getaway, get on one of the Sanchez bikes parked beside the hideout and just follow the car down the mountain.
  3. When reaching the mountain base, ride the bike past the point which is the finish point of the Chiliad Challenges, and ride it to the beach down south.
  4. Ride the Sanchez on the beach and carefully into the water, just enough where it'll make you 'fall off' the bike, but not too far from the shore.
  5. You'll eventually get a message that the snitch got away, which fails the mission. When that happens, move back to the bike and push it back to the shore enough to get back on it and ride it out of the water.
  6. Test the bike on it's All-Proof property by firing at it with a (Sawn-Off) Shotgun, or toss a grenade or two towards it from a safe spot. If you see that the bike does NOT take damage from it (Shotgun blast should 'push' the bike away even at that), you've done it right and you now have an All-Proof Sanchez at your disposal.
  7. Ride the bike to any of the available safehouses of your choosing and save the game.

This post will explain how to obtain an Explosion-proof Banshee from the mission 'Gray Imports'. Explosion-proof means that the car will NOT receive damage from rockets, grenades or satchel charges for example.
gallery428.jpg
How to obtain this car:

What is needed:
  • Storage space in any safehouse garage available, Verdant Bluffs is the closest.
  • Body Armor
  • Sawn-off Shotgun, MP5 and/or AK-47 with plenty of ammo is recommended due to the warehouse shootout part.
The steps:
  1. Play the mission 'Gray Imports' as normal, optionally store the vehicle you used to get to the docks in the first place, as driving it through the mission marker makes it both Fire and Explosion-proof.
  2. Continue the mission until you have to chase Andre, the leader of the Russian mobsters in charge of the negotiation with the Ballas.
  3. Chase him down to ground level, and kill him BEFORE he can get into the Banshee that is waiting for him at the main entrance area. Make sure the car is visible before doing so!
  4. Get into the Banshee and drive it to any safehouse of your choosing to store it.
  5. You now have an Explosion-proof Banshee to use for yourself after you save the game.

This post will explain how to obtain an All-Proof Maverick Helicopter from the mission 'Misappropriation'.
gallery85.jpg
How to obtain this helicopter:

What is needed:
  • Storage space in the Verdant Meadows Hangar.
  • Body Armor
  • Sniper Rifle
  • Tow Truck
  • Assault Rifle like the M4, just in case you need to deal with the remaining opposition.
The steps:
  1. Play the mission 'Misappropriation' as normal until you're close to the village where the snitch is hiding. Do NOT approach the village as this will alert the agents patrolling around it!
  2. Keep the village Aldea Malvada and the Maverick Helicopter which is parked at the back in sight/on screen at all times!!!
  3. Find a vantage point where you can see the snitch's head clearly and use the Sniper Rifle to shoot him once. If done right, he should be moving towards you. Let him come close,.
  4. Take the snitch out which will make him drop the evidence dossier and collect it, which completes the mission. Now get back into the Tow Truck and drive towards the back of Aldea Malvada where the Maverick is parked, while keeping it on screen, as it will despawn/vanish when off-screen!
  5. Position the Tow Truck's crane to where it meets the nuzzle of the Maverick and lower the crane to attach it onto the nuzzle. You'd hear a 'click' sound-type effect if done right.
  6. Raise the crane which will also raise the nozzle of the helicopter, which indicates it is attached to the Tow Truck. Now drive towards the Verdant Meadows Aircraft Graveyard.
  7. Drive the Tow Truck and the Helicopter into the large hangar.
  8. Lower the crane to release the Helicopter and drive out of the Hangar, letting the door close, but keep the Helicopter on-screen when you do.
  9. Once the door closes, approach the hangar to open the doors and confirm the Helicopter is there. If this is the case, you now have an All-Proof Maverick at your disposal. If you're not sure if you succeeded, test this with weapons like the Sawn-off Shotgun, Molotov Cocktails and/or Satchel Charges. If the helicopter does NOT take damage from ANY of these weapons, you've done it right.
  10. Save the game.

This post will explain how to obtain an All-Proof Savanna from the mission 'Photo Opportunity'. This is also the Savanna owned by Cesar Vialpando as it is bright red with red seats.

gallery813.jpg
How to obtain this car:

What is needed:
  • Storage space in any safehouse garage available, the Doherty Garage is recommended.
  • Body Armor
  • Sawn-off Shotgun with a good amount of ammunition, Hitman skill recommended.
The steps:
  1. Play the mission 'Photo Opportunity' as normal until you've met up with Cesar Vialpando near the Fleischberg Brewery at Blueberry.
  2. Step into Cesar's Savanna, but do NOT drive to Angel Pine yet. Drive first to Los Santos and enter the 8-Ball Autos Bomb Shop located at El Corona, near Unity Station
  3. Once you see the message that the car is fitted with the bomb, drive towards Angel Pine and enter the marker to let Cesar exit the car first, the drive it around the corner to the right and stop once you see the marker on the roof to your right.
  4. Activate the car bomb, you'll see a message on-screen that says the Bomb is armed. Exit the car and immediately run up to the roof and into the Marker.
  5. When you're in the camera view, switch to your left, you should see the Savanna blow up. Do NOT move the camera away from that position, not even when Cesar says that the ones they're looking for arrive!
  6. The mission will fail as you did not make a photo of the arrivals. Move off the roof and you should see the wreck of Cesar's Savanna right beside you.
  7. Now you can use whatever means you wish to get the wreck to the Doherty Garage. Use the Sawn-off Shotgun to make the wreck move, until you find a vehicle that is suitable enough for you to push the wreck on to the garage, like a Tanker or, if you find one at the Angel Pine Junkyard, a Dozer, but make sure the wreck stays on-screen at all times, as it will despawn/vanish if you don't do this.
  8. Once you've got the wreck to the Doherty Garage, push it inside when the door is open. Let the door close up which will restore the car.
  9. Open the garage. You now have Cesar's Savanna, All-Proof, for your own use at any time.
Should the above attempt fail and you want to try it again, or if you just want to do the mission again even if you succeed, this is one of the missions that has a Trip Skip option available should you happen to fail the mission the first time. This allows you to bypass the traveling parts both to where you meet up with Cesar Vialpando at Blueberry as well as the trip towards Angel Pine.
