Bought a book called The Warmth of Other Suns by Isabel Wilkerson
Very interesting book that examines the Great Migration [1916-1970s] through three characters, each given a different reason why they left the South to North and West of the United States. If you are ever interested in an exodus of Black Americans migrating to the North, along with hardships they went through, this is the good to pick up on. Wilkerson did an excellent job providing historical documents, evidences and accounts by Black Migrants on why they left everything behind. Be weary though, it does contains horrific elements, such as lynchings, and other accounts of massacres.
