Long time ago, the world was led by two powerful clans: The Sword-Fighters Clan (Leader: Jack Tachi) and The Power of Fist Clan (Leader: Ryu Ken). The leaders—who inherit the power of the Gods for saving the world from brutal darkness—upheld harmony and peace across the world. However, one day, Ryu Ken’s heart began to fall due to mysterious forces. In the pursuit of power, Ryu wanted to bent humanity under his will—and the only way to achieve such goal was to get rid of his friend, whom he considered his brother, Jack. This lead to the Great Clan Wars, lasting for many ages, resulting in senseless destruction upon the world. In the end, Ryu Ken and The Power of Fist Clan was defeated. Accepting defeat, Ryu and Power of Fist left Earth—no trace of them will ever arise.

Jack Tachi, distraught that his friend had fall into the path of darkness, realized that potential darkness could be lurking in the shadows and corrupted more people. To remedy this, Jack Tachi did several actions: Jack Tachi and his clan stepped down from having authority of the world. From there, Jack Tachi split his own power and gave it to 8 worthy individuals in order to combat the darkness—enabled them to morph into powerful—but oddly fashionable suits called Power Rangers. It was said that throughout generations, Tachi and 8 Individuals’ descendants can passed down their powers if they're deem worthy. 

One day, Jack Tachi—now as an old man—was informed by Vanessa, his great-granddaughter and current consideration for the next inheritor of his power that a child was left abandoned on his front doorstep. With no information, not even a name, Jack took the child in, named him Julius and raised him as if he was his own. Since then, he became to trained both Vanessa and Julius—when he was at the appropriate age—of sword training. He quickly saw the skills Julius honed, becoming equal to that of Vanessa and became very impressed. Jack Tachi personally told Julius that he would even considered Julius as one of the inheritors for his power and become a Power Ranger. However, as Julius grew older, Jack noticed Julius’s heart began to sink into darkness—due to jealousy towards Vanessa's sudden growth and attention. When both of them were at the age of becoming Rangers, Vanessa—much to her surprise—was chosen to be the inheritor, not Julius. 

Enraged, Julius attacked The SwordsFighter Palace, confronted against Jack Tachi—and defeated him in battle. The Silver Ranger tried to stop the attack, but fell victim to Julius' excellent swordplay and gained the ability to steal the "Spirit of Light" away from him. With this, he declared that he was going to eliminated all the Rangers and obtained all the power to show the world that he is superior. However, all the rangers, including Vanessa, banded together and attack Julius head on. In a hard-fought battle—and the fall of Red Ranger's life—Julius was defeated. Vanessa was unable to take the final blow of killing Julius, and instead, deciding to use her power to seal him away in a dimension as a eternal prison. His last words:

"Fool! My ambition is eternal! I shall returned and reclaimed my deserved right as the most powerful swordsman!"

Bearing responsibility of not taking Julius' life, Vanessa agreed to continued her Grandfather's legacy of being the Head Master of the Clan (although she promised that she will never fight again) and trained new rangers to continue fighting against the darkness—and gained Jack Tachi's eternal youth. However, mysterious darkness became to vanished completely when Julius disappeared and the Swords-Fighter Clan became to diminished as generations passes by. Only three families she has consistent contact with remained close to her as others became to drift away as the world became more modern to the present day. Nowadays, SwordsFighter Clan is considered an urban legend and Power Rangers as nothing more than mythology. 

However, the people of Earth will soon learn, that such "stories" are indeed real... The dimension, unknown to Vanessa, contained powerful monsters .. and Julius will make his return. After 500 years, Julius finally escaped. His presence alerted Vanessa, causing her to take up the defense to repel his efforts.

Vanessa now has to track down all those who inherit the power...!

General Rules
  • Original Power Rangers RP.
  • Zords do not exist in this RP. Don't like it? Tough shit.
  • Do not introduce your "new story" as an arc without approval.
  • Don't distort things that were already established within the role-play.
  • Don’t try to make everything too convenient. 
  • If popular, the entire RP will have three major arcs.
  • Make sure everyone has a chance to post! The quoting system is extremely helpful if you fall too far behind.
  • Feedback is important! I cannot help you with your concerns of this RP if you don’t come to me.
Character Creation Rules
  • You can only have 1 OC. Exception is the Game-Master. 
  • If you wish to play as some of the villains, you need permission from me first. We're work something out.
  • Powers [Elements] are already determined based on the colors, including history of where all the characters are from.
  • 6 Rangers are available. Once all 6 are used, I'll not be accepting new players until further notice.
  • All characters will lived in the same area and attend the same school.
  • In addition, ages can be between 14-17.
  • Each Ranger has a sword(s) (axe/daggers/etc) as their main weapons. No "Guns/Laser-Guns" will appeared (hence the name, SwordFighters).

Notes: Powers are passed down if they're deem worthy. Although the Swordsman Clan has diminished overtime, the tradition of passing down the power still continues (but in different forms, future families aren't aware that they are actually passing down powers in a literal sense). Aside from Red, Green and Purple Ranger's families, all families will be "distant from the clan". Weapon cannot be repeated. If someone already claimed a sword, pick another.

Gender: Female
Age: 17
Ethnicity: Caucasian 
Personality: Adara is calm and collective, preferring to resolved actions through logical thinking then letting her emotions take action. Adara has a fashion sense, always wanted to try out the latest hit thing in the public. Adara is considered by Vanessa, to be a very capable leader because of those strong points. 
Background: Her family has reminded by Vanessa for generations after the defeated of Julius. Naturally, Adara was chosen to be the next inheritor in order to continued her family tradition of protecting Vanessa and the world from enternal darkness.

Ranger: Red Ranger - Spirit of Fire

Name: Hayate Hayai
Gender: Male
Age: 15
Ethnicity: Japanese
Personality: Hayate is happy go-lucky and always aimed to do the right thing. He tried his best to give his all for those he care about.
Background: Hayate comes from a middle-class family that moved from Japan to America in pursuit of a new way of life, and connecting with their roots with the Swordsman Clan, loctaed in Southern California. 
Weapon: Twin Daggers
Ranger: Green Ranger - Spirit of Wind

Name: Jordan Johnson
Gender: Male
Age: 17
Ethnicity: Black
Personality: Jordan is quite and emotionless and doesn't take no nonsense of foolish actions. He seems to be a rival of Hayate.
Background: Jordan's past will be revealed in the story, proper.
Weapon: Masamune
Purple Ranger - Spirit of Darkness
 
Name: Mari

Gender: Female

Age: 16

Ethnicity: Hispanic

Personality: Mari is a bit shy about meeting new people and tends to work on bettering her skills. She doesn't like talking to others by how shy she is but secretly wants people to see her skills and admire her. She's a bit naive but her heart is always in the right place. She almost always does what she is told and tries to avoid trouble as best she can. She is mostly quiet but can be pushed to a breaking point if provoked hard enough.

Background: Mari was growing up in a normal place and never really saw any sort of battle, let alone involved herself in such battles. Because she is so shy, she is often looked at as a weird person and confused for not being able to speak. She likes to practice in private and tends to watch people from a distance, learning about them from afar. She seems to not like centipedes and is terrified by them.

Ranger: Aqua Ranger. Water Element.

Weapon: Dual mini blades (Does that count?)
 
Name: Mackenzie Hudson

Gender: Female

Age: 16

Ethnicity: Caucasian

Personality: McKenzie is a typical mean girl in school. She gossips about other girls or hot dudes with friends and tease the rather shy/nerdy students. She is quite fashionable, never falling out of style. She is proud of herself and always talk about the things her mom and dad bought her, to everyone else's annoyance. Though, she is in fact a lonely teen because her parents are hardly home. She is secretly jealous of the other kids for having their parents around all the time.

She's also pretty squeamish, and hates staying in untidy places.

Background: Mckenzie  rarely lacked anything, except her own parents. They were never home and hired a babysitter to take care of her. By the time she was old enough to not need someone looking over her, they stopped hiring babysitters and only left reminding-notes to communicate before leaving the house. It seemed the only thing they cared about was her grades at school. She made up for it by showing off all the things she got to others to fish for compliments, or made fun of less fashionable girls to feel superior.

Name: Praxnum "Prax" Nexus Undying

Gender: Male

Age: 17

Ethnicity: Part Brit - Part New Zealand

Personality: Respectful, somewhat carefree, sometimes gets offended, could become honor bound if he ends up in a situation where such a trait is desirable.

Background: Average kid, got good grades and plenty of friends. In freshmen year he learned that his single mother had never married his father, and that he father was a traveling mercenary she had a one night stand with, and that one-night stand was actually against the mercenary's religion, meaning his existence was heretical to his own blood. He didn't take the news well and grades plummeted, ending the year after much stress and credit recovery with a C+ average. His mother is an accountant, his uncle a monk, and his other uncle a former detective turned PI turned president of an investigation business. Looking to become captain of a cargo ship as a career.

Wow, a PR RP? Now I've seen everything. Minor suggestion: The Earth Ranger should be black. Black is a a common sentai color.

Also is it too late to join or what?
 
"Black Ranger" is reserved for something in the future :maybe:

  • Personality: Shy, but very helpful and seemingly honest. Her shyness only adds to her mysterious nature, one that she rather intentionally keeps up.
  • Background: Doesn't talk much about where she's from, but if pressured she usually says Indonesia. She seems to have a fascination with ancient civilizations like Sumer and Babylon, and is taking college credit Archaeology classes at high school. She's relatively new in school and very mysterious, mostly because of being new. She's been to many other schools in the past.
  • Ranger: Spirit of Light, Silver Ranger
    Weapon: Spear

  • Background: Claims to be from Sumer, the ancient mother civilization. She claims to have been sent into the future long ago by a wizard, though whether or not this is true is unknown. She seems to have simply appeared in America around two years ago, and seems to have trouble speaking English. She has made few friends, and is seldom seen un-morphed. Nobody seems to know just where she came from or how the silver ranger powers came into her possession. She seems to just show up whenever to help people in need, and then vanishes just as quickly. She also seems to know quite a bit about making pottery.

Few things:
- Mezura being from the past, travel to the future and all that, needs to be cut. Mezura's backstory needs to be rewritten as "normal teenager" along with the others because this contradicts the established lore in the OP (the lore is crucial for details). She won't know that she had inherited "Spirit of Light" until RP itself properly starts.  
- No shields.
 
I was going to have it that she's basically crazy, not really from the past. But I will still change things up, okie-dokie Shinebro.
