"No..... No ..." Maki looked at Future Xenest's lifeless figure, the young angel shaking at the sight. It brought back horrible memories of when she saw Oriko die, and a dark feeling crept in her stomach, showing as a dark aura on the outside. Oralie was nowhere to be found and Maki's dark aura was getting stronger.

"I'm too weak... I can't protect anyone.. WHY?! WHY DOES IT HAVE TO BE LIKE THIS?!!!?" The dark aura enveloped Maki, the ground around the angel eroding away, as if the energy were acidic. For those around Maki, it would be best for them to stay away, for once the transformation has started, it CAN NOT be stopped without another light user around.

Something broke in Atama at that moment, and he rose from the ground, feeding on the Darkness just to maintain his state of being awake. And he stumbeled down there towards Future Brachi.

Future Brachi didn't hear Atama approaching as she was currently grieving too much to pay attention to it, crying bitter tears as it only added to the pain she had to endure. Deramas remained silent, but looked up as he sensed something approaching them. It didn't appear to hold any hostile energy signatures or anything, but it didn't appear to be either Martian or Hubrin in nature...

Atama sat down next to Future Brachi, dimly looking at the remains while being in a state of threatening to fall back asleep at any moment. Constantly drawing on the energy around him just to replenish his own fatigued muscles. The angel was faintly aware of the dim irony of the situation. Had he not sacrificed his own energies to try to aid Xenest, his friend might still be alive.

Deramas blinked as he suddenly was confronted by a tall woman wearing a facial mask, stopping in front of him. He took some steps back, evidently intimidated by the power she radiated, before she silently walked towards the distraught woman and the petrified fallen warrior...

After a few minutes, Future Brachi calmed down enough to look up, blinking at seeing Dread Master Bestia standing there close to Atama and Memora.

"You don't have to say anything; I know what has happened," She said, "if it brings any form of relief, the others in the Hubrin Fortress are still alive and still within the healing tanks, although their condition has taken some heavy blows... Ruthas had used an illusionary spell to make it appear they were gone from the tanks... but in reality..."

Future Brachi looked down.

"So... what that monster said was true... by attacking those demonic clones... some of the damage inflicted did go to them..." She said in a shaky voice.

"However, by killing Ruthas first, the connection between those demonic clones and your friends had been severed, which in turn had saved them from death..." Bestia then said.

Future Brachi blinked at this.

"So you mean..." She began.

"Your husband's sacrifice wasn't in vain as he went directly after the source of those clones. Had any of those clones been killed BEFORE Ruthas' own death, then the feedback would have killed the respective person within the healing tank. It's almost comparable to how the people Dabura had turned into stone can be freed by killing that demon, or how some people can be freed from being mind-controlled by taking out the one who is in control." Bestia said.

This brought a smile to Future Brachi's face as, despite the consequences of his own actions, Future Xenest had in fact saved their respective counterparts and their family and friends by killing Ruthas first.

Atama drew a bit more on his emotions and the energy around him, enough to let him focus and use higher level thinking for a little while. He looked at Dread Master Bestia.

"Are you an angel of death?" He asked.

Atama sighed.

"A creator eh? I think you can tell what happened here. Should be obvious enough." He said depressed, and walked over to the unconscious Memora.
