DAY FIVE OF OCMAS: SPINA THE YOWL
There are three types of energy… life energy which exists in all life. Celestial Ki when one achieved enlightenment in mastering all three components of Ki. The last one is the result when one consumes a fruit called “Destroyer Fruit”. Once consume, it will kill one with malicious energy, called Dark Energy, that causes them to abandon all thoughts aside from the one they most desire. They will stop at nothing until they achieved that goal: hence those who eat the fruits are called “Destroyers”.
Yowls are offspring of Destroyers, and unlike the rest of the universe, their “ki” cannot be sense nor understood. The only thing they have is that their energy leaves a similar destructive, devastating aura like Dark Energy. They lack emotion and drive. More often than not, they are considered “plagues” and “unnatural” to the world.
While it is extremely rare, Spina is a Yowl. And because of that, he spent his entire life as an outcast. Unable to effectively feel for anything, constantly used as a tool and toss aside afterwards. Spina wandered the universe after his master abandoned him until he was picked up by Planet Jackers. It was until the meeting with Mex, Spina felt “something” in his body… and became a ride-or-die for him. Suyoi seemingly took a fancy of him in the later parts of the story (more on that later!).
