I think you'd get a good idea of whether or not it will turn your laptop into a potato oven if you download the demo and try it out. My brother can run CSGO on his Macbook Air laptop fine, but it turns his laptop into a space heater if that's any good as an indicator. I'm not a computer whiz so I just install stuff I visually estimate can run without my laptop being able to fry eggs on it. I think if you have a Dell or smth it should be fine.

My laptop has 4 GB Ram and was able to run Heroes of the Storm when I played it for the D.va skin. I mean, it didn't run like absolute shit, but it's was fine and wasn't causing troubles. So I guess I could try out the demo and see where I can go from there. :think: Where do you find information of the graphic card anyways?
The amount of dedicated PC RAM needed to run Payday depends on if you have integrated graphics (most likely) or not (definitely not likely unless you bought a nice, pricey laptop). With integrated potato graphics, you definitely need at least 6 gigs of RAM to properly run Payday, especially if you're one of those people who don't close their 200 Google Chrome tabs before starting anything else. It would probably run OKish on 4 gigs, but it's definitely a no-go on 2 gigs unless you have dedicated graphics, which it's highly unlikely you do with that little RAM installed unless it's a laptop from 2007, in which I will personally vouch that it runs like garbage.
For comparison's sake, my laptop runs off 6 gigs of 2133 mhz DDR4 RAM (higher speeds = better for integrated graphics) and the Intel i5 7200u with the HD 620 (it's equivalent to a lower-end PC graphics card from like 2014) and it runs Payday like absolute shit. Grey can't run it at all on his own Laptop.
Here's my guide for determining whether or not a laptop will be able to run the game:
1: Was it released no earlier than 2013?
2: Was it expensive ($700 range) at release?
3: Does it have a dedicated graphics card (can find that in your laptop specs. Message me if you can't figure it out on your own)? What model is it? What model is the processor?
4: Does it have more than 4 (dedicated) or 6 (integrated potato) gigs of RAM?
5: Does it have a fast hard drive? Some games will suffer a big performance dip from not being able to load in textures and such on time.
The farther up the scale it fails, the less likely it is to run Payday 2 (or any other game, for that matter) well.
@Loopy Whoever said that the HD 3000 series would run Payday 2 well must have been fucking high when they said that. You definitely need the HD 520 at minimum to run it at anything more than absolute 1999 potato.
