First Challenge #1: Draw Mario!

You and your peers arrived in  Kyoto, Kyoto Prefecture, Japan, where the headquarter of Nintendo is located. Tatsumi Kimishima, Genyo Takeda, Shigeru Miyamoto and Reggie Fils-Aimé appeared in the room where your group was and presented the upcoming Mario game next year. However, they specifically requested for a redesign of the iconic mascot, Mario, in order to fit the atmosphere of the newest game, of bringing Mario into the world that we "live in".  

Your task is to redesign Mario. How you go about of the redesign, is up to you. You can use any medium you're comfortable with in order to performed this task (traditional, digital, painting, graphic design-such as recoloring, Photoshop or any other photo-editing tool, etc). The extent of the redesign can be minor or major. 

Those who redesign stood out the most will win the challenge.
