Though Armor's helmet hid her emotions behind a metal shine, she still paused to look over Imani at that poignant question. Cold, hard metal gauntlets locked fingers with Imani's outstretched hands to get the girl to stop moving.

"Hold still, just a moment." She stated in a colder voice than the reassuring pleas that she had talked in earlier. She let go of Imani's hands, metallic boot steps around Imani giving sound to where Armor was. The boot steps stopped when Armor walked behind Imani. Imani's blindness must be affecting her more, because she felt an unease in her stomach. As if her body could tell there was something wrong with it. But that must've just been a fear reaction because as soon as it came, it was gone, probably from Armor being weird. There were more metallic boot steps, this time Armor circling back to be in front of Imani.

"You'll live. You got out of that explosion with mostly blindness, I think. You still need a ride to the hospital but, I can say for certain you won't die Imani." Armor stated. "Come on, elevator's just a bit further away."

The EMTs looked to each other, and then to Jordyn after loading her into the ambulance. One EMT climbed into the vehicle while the other shut the doors and got into the driver's seat. The one that wasn't driving secured Jordyn's stretcher, before sitting down.

"To be honest, the old man in the chair? Whatever the explosion did to him, there was a large, burn like gash across his neck, head slumped over. Barely breathing. I don't know if he's dead or not, but they put him into another ambulance anyways rather than cover him up with a sheet. What members of your class that weren't visibly injured in some form were being taken by a bus to the hospital to get checked out."

Two hours later. New York City Health & Hospital.

Imani had been given a limited physical examination and eye examination. She was told that her blurry vision should recede with enough time for rest and given a blindfold if her vision became too strained. In addition, she had no visible injuries but like the class was at risk for hemorrhaging, and recommended that she stay at the hospital for a day for observation, and to tell someone if she had any symptoms of internal bleeding. She had also been given a band aid and infection prevention for the spider bite. In addition, her father had been phoned to tell him that there had been an accident with Imani in it, but that she was fine and he could come see her when he was able to. Lastly, it was mentioned to him that the treatment costs would be paid by the Walker family.

Imani herself was in a bed in a hospital room. Possibly able to see, possibly not. Though she was certainly feeling strange. She had been told her father had been called about the accident. Lastly, she could hear voices outside her door.

"Come on, let me see her, please."
"You were apart of the class that were in the blast, you shouldn't even be up."
"I was in the bathroom when the explosion went off!"

Jordyn had been given a limited physical examination and a mental exam. She was told that her falling unconscious might've been an allergic response to the explosion combined with spider bite and to stay awake for several hours before sleeping in case there might be any issues. In addition, she had no visible injuries but like the class was at risk for hemorrhaging and recommended that she stay at the hospital for a day for observation, especially if she fell unconscious again and started to bleed. She was instructed to stay awake at least until nightfall and tell anyone if she had any symptoms of internal bleeding. She also had been given a band aid and infection prevention on the spider bite, and a dose of anti-allergens. In addition, her legal guardians were told of the explosion and that she had fallen unconscious but woke up, and that for the moment she was fine and it wasn't an emergency they needed to come immediately for. Lastly, it was mentioned to them the treatment costs would be paid for by the Walker family.

Jordyn herself was in a bed in a hospital room. Anti-allergy pills and stimulants left for her in case she needed them. Though she was feeling very, very strange. The vision from when she had fallen unconscious would remain in her memory, along with brief fragments of that pain she felt from her consciousness being torn apart. Her room door had been left open, and she could hear sounds from outside it. The sounds of someone struggling to move and groaning against themselves.

A man limped into view, wearing a black suit and jacket, along with a pair of grey pants. From the way he was limping, he must be someone who needs to sit down most of the time. He lacked any sort of head gear, revealing blacker than black hair, an unnatural color. From glances he gave, he had red eyes and a young face. He paused for a moment, right outside of Jordyn's room, and pulled at his neck, suddenly tearing off a large set of wrappings. With that accomplished, he continued to walk on.

Imani's vision was still a little strained but she was careful not to force her vision too hard or rub her eyes. She took notice of the cute band-aid on her hand, remembering the sharp pain she felt during the presentation. She picked at the band-aid, just barely lifting it off to see small bite marks. She didn't remember any animals in the room, so she only assumed it could have been part of the blast. Imani perked her head up to hear the voices outside, unable to properly identify them since they sounded slightly muffled to her.

"Huh..? Who's at the door?" Imani said softly to herself. She rose her voice for the people to hear on the other side. "You can come in! I'm awake!"

I wonder if Daddy is coming over... He must be worried sick. I still feel a little weird tho', it's probably my nerves acting up.

Jordyn was trying to stay awake, although she felt increasingly exhausted due to the lingering pain og her head. But she was afraid that if she fell asleep too early, the nightmare would come back again. She was messing with the tv remote attached to her hospital bed until something else caught her attention.

Without blinking, she watched the figure skulk and limp forward past the doorway. Jordyn felt herself break out in a cold sweat and she forced herself further into the covers. Once he was gone, she released the breath she was holding and fearfully turned away from the door.

She convinced herself it was a hallucination caused by the medicinal cocktail and whatever was leftover from the harrowing experience she had the day prior.

"It wasn't real, you're just sleep deprived and it'll never come back..." Jordyn muttered to herself as she popped another stimulant pill.

Out of all the people who could've possibly been in the hospital, it was none other than Sia who came into the door way. Dressed in the same clothes as that morning, she looked no worse for wear from an explosion she reasonably should've been a part of.

"Imani! I came by to-" She started to say.

"You really should not be out of your room, miss." Said a nurse interrupting Sia, having followed her into the room. Sia responded with an annoyed face.

"I told you already, I was in the bathroom when the explosion went off! Those things are like tornado shelters or something, I'm fine. I would've left if my dad didn't force me to stay here."

"Fine. Just remember to flag down someone if you develop symptoms of internal bleeding. You know, why your father has you here." They replied before walking out of the door.

With the nurse no longer pestering her, Sia took a seat in the room and looked to Imani with her red eyes.

"Hey, how are you holding up? Eyes feeling any better?"

- - - - -

The man continued to limp on, uncaring of the bandages he just tore off his face or anyone having seen him. And just as Jordyn predicted, he didn't come back, nor reappear. Instead of him coming back, walking in the same direction was a girl with tanned skin and black hair, making wild gestures with her arms as she seemingly followed the man.

Perhaps say three three minutes later, Draven poked his head into Jordyn's room.

"Hey. I got bored and tried to find something interesting. I think I just saw Old Man Walker roaming around... He seems fine. Anyways, uh, want some company? I found a lounge on this floor."

"Hey Sia, you look barely scratched." Imani giggled. "I'm doing fine, thanks. My eyes are a bit blurry, but I think I'll manage. Sheesh, what a day, huh? Everything just happened in a flash and next thing I know, we're in the hospital. I wonder where Mr. Spider-Man went or that lady in the Armor... I guess they left to do their own things. I'm kinda worried about the two others that were there with me and Mr. Petranov..."

Imani blinked hard, trying her best to not touch or rub her eyes. She rested her head on the pillow.

"But what about you? You mentioned that you were in the bathroom when the presentation lost control, so I guess you just got minor injuries, huh?"

Near the Hospital main entrance, a man appeared, frantic and worried, banging his large hands on the counter.

"Where is Imani?! Where is my daughter?! I must see her now!" The large muscular man demanded. "I want to see her now! I was notified of some horrible thing that happened at her school, so take me to her or I'll find her myself!"

Jordyn turned toward the door with a slight startle in her bed. Her eyes were wide, but she visibly relaxed seeing it was Draven.

"Oh, hey..." Now that she thought about it, the man passing by the door looked a lot like the Principal. But she was completely confused because of what the paramedics had told her regarding his injury.

Should someone with a broken neck be wandering around his room alone? It wasn't a drug-induced hallucination? Then again, somebody was following him, so maybe it was a nurse or a relative following behind him. She put a hand on her forehead and rubbed furiously at her eyes, which had burned a bit from the sleep deprivation.

"I guess he's sturdier than I thought... but sounds good. Hospitals aren't my thing... they're kind of creepy at night. And my mom's working the overnight shift, so she probably won't see me until tomorrow morning to pick me up." Jordyn tried to lighten up the mood about what happened earlier. "God what a day, huh? We get nuked by a giant bowling ball AND bitten by spiders to top it all off. Someone should really call an exterminator."

Sia ran a hand over her arm, glancing at various parts of her body.

"The bathroom's walls prevented most of the explosion's energy from hitting me. Lucky, I suppose. Wasn't lucky enough to avoid bumping my head on a wall from force, though." She put a hand on her head. "I'm fine, I'm fine, it's a minor bump, promise. Really wouldn't be here if I didn't have to, but at least I can use my time to check up on you. And I hope the others are okay, too. And Doctor Petronov, of course. From the sound, the explosion was quite, something." She looked back to Imani. "But you seem to be mostly okay, so the others shouldn't be too bad off. I'm really glad you're okay Imani."

- - - - -

Draven raised an eyebrow and gave a puzzled look to Jordyn.

"Sturdier? I mean, I got off from the explosion relatively lightly, and the Old Man was farther away from it than we were. You or the other girl didn't get totally messed up, did you?" He asked, before glancing to a window, catching a sun low in the sky. "Also, yeah, hospitals get very creepy at night. I hope there's enough time left in the day to do something other than lay around in bed, something to change up the scenery. Hate to be trying to get killed and bored. Honestly, I think someone was trying to call an exterminator on us!" He added before chuckling, and then switching to a somber look.

"My grandfather already came by and made sure I was fine, with my parents, so they're gone for the day. Sorry to hear about your mom... But at least I can help keep you company. Did you want to go to the lounge, get out of this room?"

- - - - -

"Knock that off before I have to step in!" Yelled a voice from behind the large man. "You can't just barge into a hospital and demand to be shown your family while making gestures of physical violence towards the staff!" Behind him was a young man, couldn't be much more than having recently stopped being a kid, maybe 20, with black hair, red eyes, and pale skin. Dressed in a grey jacket, grey pants, and black boots, all of his clothing had blue accents to them. "That's not how this world works! You will wait until the hospital can verify your identity and allow you to go up there, and you will do so quietly. And if that's a problem, you can take it up with security."

As the young man was saying this, two officers were walking into the room, investigating the disturbance. The receptionist running the table looked absolutely unphased at the large man's demands.

"There is no need to get so agitated. If you simply give me your ID and tell me who you're here for, I can provide where your daughter is and what room she is in."

"I guess you're right. I dunno, the paramedics must've just been worryin' too much since, well, how often is it you get a call about a big ball of light blowing up and blinding nearly everyone in the room for a hot minute? The Old Man looks more delicate than he is I guess." Jordyn laughed. "They said I was allergic to whatever bit me, I think, so maybe the meds they got me on has me talkin' crazy. Not like the allergy didn't have me acting funny in itself... if it weren't for everyone seeing Spider-man, I would've thought the whole thing was a weird dream."

She sat up in her hospital bed and stretched her legs. "But your idea sounds way more interesting than sitting here watching cable on their crummy monitor all night. I'll take the lounge if it means I can do something fun while I'm supposed to stay up for a while longer." Jordyn yawned, reached over, and grabbed some of the medicine they left by her bed. "And I'll take some of these for the road... my head's been kind of achy."

"I'm glad too, I just hope the others aren't as bad." Imani frowned. "But something really cool happened while I was down there. I couldn't see a thing and a lady was there to guide me. I wish I could have thanked her but I was so scared that I didn't even ask for her name. I think she knew Mr. Spider-Man, however, I don't remember seeing her in the presentation until after the explosion. I guess I was so caught up with seeing Mr. Spider-Man, I didn't even notice her."

Imani let out a sigh while she fiddled with her thumbs.

"After that, I don't remember where she went... Aww, shucks, I should've asked for her name, at least. Well, maybe she's good friends with Mr. Spider-Man, and if that's the case, then she's sooner or later going to appear, right?"

The man, flustered and worried sick about his daughter, growled in annoyance when pestered by the boy and the security behind him. He dug into his pocket and pulled out his Driver's License before shoving it to the receptionist behind the counter. He ran a hand through his grey hair, trying his best to calm down before the situation got worse. He was still flustered, shaking in both panic and rage.

"Her name is Imani Mariana Santos, please tell me she's okay. She's only a young girl!" Her father said in a worried voice before turning to the man behind him. "Forgive my outburst, I am just so worried for my little girl. Nothing like this has ever happened and I only heard of an explosion in her school. I immediately thought of the worst. Please, just take me to her!"

"Another hero present at the explosion?" Sia asked, red eyes briefly confused before lighting up. "Wait, I do remember a female's voice ordering people around in the chaos. I didn't get a good look at her, too busy trying to figure out what happened, but there was someone there. She must've been the one who helped you out. But if she was there, they'll probably mention her name in the news reports once all the details get figured out. That way when she reappears again, you'll know her name." She stated before tilting her head.

"Assuming she reappears again. But if she is friends with Spider-Man, then she is bound to show up again, like you said."

- - - - -

"He does always sit in a chair and I think I've seen him walk with a cane once or twice across the years." Draven remarked to Jordyn as he led her out of the room. "So I guess he is less delicate than what would suggest. Maybe things looked worse than they really were back at the school. After all, Spider-Man was there, big flash of light, it does sound like a weird dream. And, the way you reacted to the bite being an allergy, makes me feel a bit better about your state. Thought you might actually, you know, die." He added in a lower voice.

"There's a drinking fountain over there if you get thirsty or need to take some of those meds you took with you." Draven pointed as they arrived at the lounge. It was a small alcove kind of thing, not very big in terms of space. There were a couple of chairs, a microwave and counter, the far wall from the entrance was more or less just a glass pane, and there was a large TV hooked up to the wall. Quite an older model, but of much better resolution than the room ones. Draven went and switched it on, changing the station to a news channel.

There was a crowd of reporters in front of the entrance to some building in the middle of Manhattan, and in front of that crowd was a podium with an individual in a suit.

"There are some details I cannot reveal to the public right now, but the device that caused today's disturbance earlier is currently still at large. Though normally it would be turned over to the police for investigation, we've prepared a safe storage place here due to the unknown affects it has." The individual said. Seems Draven turned it on mid speech.

(Put in spoilers due to length rather than actual spoilers.)
"Some students mentioned there being a second masked individual present after the explosion but not before, who were they?" One reported asked.

"Spider-Man told us that the heroine named Shadow Armor appeared after the explosion to help out, and surmises she was in the neighborhood at the time. She assisted with helping move students to the hospital before disappearing. We thank her for her efforts. Please do not attempt to interview her, Spider-Man has requested that any inquiries to Armor will be forwarded to us, and we will give the answers back to you. She has much of a private life as the rest of us, and we've offered our help for media attention to her."

"Why was Spider-Man at the high school before the explosion?"

"He has declined to answer us on that. We do not know."

"Will he tell you once the device has been secured?"

"We would like to think that. But super hero business often involves private life, and we cannot release any private information without consent from the other parties."

"What if he doesn't tell you?"

"Only the CEO of Parker Industries can interfere with Spider-Man's decisions and demand information from him. It will be a question of why he was there for after the device is secured, not before."

- - - - -

The receptionist looked over the driver's license and then to the computer, typing in his daughter's name. After reading the screen for a moment, she handed the ID back.

"Your daughter is on the third floor, room 302. She's with the rest of her class under observation. The message you received should have included all of the details, as I'm not at liberty to discuss them. Next." They answered the large man. The young adult stepped forward, handing over his ID. The receptionist looked at it and then the two whispered for a moment.

"Same floor." The reception remarked. "322." The young man merely nodded and started to walk towards the elevators, motioning for the large man to follow.

"Come on, you're worried about whether your daughter is okay, well my family's up there too, so I might as well make sure you find the right place." He remarked as he walked, keeping his back to the large man. By this time the security had left for more important matters, disappeared from the room.
