Disgraced beginnings: A.U DBZ ( potato/hairball)

"The hairball might not be so useful, but I want all these planets cleared faster." Replied Vegeta, pretending he was discussing a new planet. "Now just get back to the damn pods."

He clicked a button on the scouter to reconnect it to Raditz' scouter. The fighting seemed to have stopped. He didn't really care though, if the slave had managed to win then it just proved he had overestimated Raditz's usefulness.

"Nappa. You make the report." Vegeta demanded in his usual bossy voice. The prince often pushed small task like that to either Raditz or Nappa (like a little brat. XD)

(xD Oh yes)

Resetting the damned hairball Raditz for various reasons that he didn't ever really discuss much, Nappa felt he had his good reasons for disliking most of the alien's that worked under Freeza. Most were not friends in the army, only mildly tolerating each other at best and being enemies at worst. Besides that though,  Nappa could have cared less right now as he just wanted to get off this dead planet and make the report like Vegeta told him to do.

"Yeah, I'm on it" Deciding to get back to his pod as he tried to forget about the fact that Raditz would be getting involved in their plan, the Saiyan was honestly kind of beginning to 'regret' treating the idiot so harshly. Sure, it was deserved, but it made it a pain in the ass when you were made to work with someone you hated.

......................

Meanwhile, back on the ship, the fight between Isvan and Raditz was long over and the aliens who had crowded around the training room where it had started were back at their duties, the same going for the slaves who had been put to clean to take up time. It didn't seem any of the soldiers knew that an entire group of slaves were being kept in an old storage room to recover from various injuries, the threat of them being found only being a reason for the hidden slaves to keep quiet despite their pained states.

Of course, that didn't stop any of the soldiers from taking notice that some slaves occasionally went missing, random roll calls of their living cargo sometimes indicating that one or two were gone and needed to be found or destroyed depending on the situation. Two missing slaves, in particular, had captured the interest of a few soldiers though...a troublemaking human and a girl with a seemingly broken power level that had gone missing during Isvan and Raditz's earlier fight somehow. They would need to be found obviously, but no one seemed to be in any rush as everyone was on with their duties as usual for now.

(Of course ^~^ You take your time though, alright? Don't force yourself to reply.)

It had been about a week or so ever since Maren had gotten into his one-sided fight with Raditz, the human having been severely beaten down despite doing his best to show he was capable of defending himself. It had been humiliating for the teen to taken down so quickly, especially when he had always prided himself on being able to give the hurt to anyone who screwed with him. Of course, that was the least of Maren's concerns now that he had healed relatively well from his injuries, him having snuck back into his position of cleaning alongside Aelith relatively easily despite the occasional questioning of where the hell he had been.

The answer from Maren was always the same; that 'he had been here all along', cleaning as he had been put to do. Sure, it was a pretty stupid answer but it was enough to keep him out of serious trouble as long as he avoided Raditz, him not desiring another fight with the Saiyan that he knew now was practically unwinnable. The most Maren could do right now was to keep out of the way and hope that he would eventually have his shot at getting home, however far away 'home' may have been by now.

(Sorry for the long wait xD)

This have gotten dull for Raditz as the week passed. Nothing really interesting happened after that one good fight he had with the Torian. It had always been like that. One little moment of excitement, gone in an instant. Though, he had something to look forward to now. Vegeta and Nappa had told him via the scouter that they had found a good planet, but they would need him for this one. The two saiyans were going to join Raditz on #915 soon. Despite not wanting to hang out with the two bullies, who tended to make him thwir punching bag, Raditz would do anything to be able to go out there and fight something again.

His trend of thought was interupted by the announcement being made through the speakers on board. They were preparing for the landing on Freeza 915.

==============

"You heard 'em. Get in line." Said the Torian.

Isvan stood with his arms folded. He was now in the low-class battle armor, with the Frieza logo on the left torso. Despite looking a intimidating with the new scars on his face and the outfit, he didn't use the bossy tone of voice like most of the guards. After all, he was once a part these people he was now supervising.

"He sure got promoted real quick." Aelith commented in a whisper as she joined the line.

(It's alright xD I have been busy as well.)

Having done his best to keep a low profile ever since he had managed to recover from his 'battle' with Raditz, Maren wasn't stupid enough to think he stood a chance against any of the other various aliens that controlled the ship after the beatdown. The ever constant ache in his ribs being there to remind him of how he had screwed up, the human had by no means lost the will to fight...he simply knew he needed to completely recover before he could have another shot at proving himself.

Usually cleaning alongside Aelith to pass the time and seem like he was useful, Maren was slowly losing hope that he would ever be able to get back to Earth. With how far this ship was going and how outnumbered he was there was little chance that he was going to be able to get back home anytime soon, if ever. The thought of it usually being in the back of his head despite trying to block it out, Maren really only felt comfort in Aelith and the time he was able to spend with her, regardless of their situation.

Only being about halfway done with their cleaning on the day every slave was ordered to get in line, Maren kept a bit of a stoic face to hide the ache he still felt in his chest as he got together with the others. The sight of the damned Torian being in a position of power was more annoying than anything to the teen, him, along with nearly every other slave not being aware that he had plans in mind with getting the position.

"He's nothing but a traitor" Muttering under his breath when he heard Aelith comment about the sight of Isvan ordering them around, Maren wasn't sure how the alien had managed to rise above being a slave but it was an immediate reason for him to not feel any liking towards the individual.

"He hadn't done anything bad to any of us." Aelith shrugged. With a little shake, the ship landed successfully on the planet's surface. The large door slowly opened, revealing the scenery outside. The planet's sky was green-ish, the land seemed rocky and dry. The ship had parked on a concrete platform of a space station. There were several soilders coming out to help with the unloading.

Raditz watched as the slaves were hurried outside to be taken to the mine. He had noticed Maren among them, which was surprising considering how he was certain he had broken quite a few bones of the brat. Hmph. Someone must've given him the healing water. Oh well, he still had lots of chances to mess with the brat later.

"Hm, true, you do have a point...." Muttering under his breath despite feeling resentment towards Isvan getting out of slavery so easily, Maren wasn't aware of the fight he had gone through with Raditz in order to get the position. In the human's eyes, it almost seemed like he had simply been given it for no other reason than someone wanting to do so. Whatever the case was, Maren had little feelings towards the Torian as the ship began to land onto a yet unknown planet.

Not putting up much of a fuss as he and the other slaves were hurried out of the ship to soon be taken to the mines, Maren did notice the sight of Raditz among the various other soldiers that were around them. The thought of the fight they had had a while back was enough to make the teen's blood boil as he wanted a rematch sooner than later, his determination to prove himself overriding common sense as usual.

'Just wait, I'' get back at him, and whoever that damned Freeza idiot is too'

The soldiers dragged and pushed the slaves on a newly built road. They were led on foot for a while and eventually stopped at a large cave entrance. There, several other slaves that were brought there before them were already working, breaking stones or pushing large cart of attles outside. Each of them were given a tool for their own assigned job. Maren was given a pickaxe and told to go break the glowing crystals out of the stonewall of the cave like most of the male slaves. The few female were assigned to separating the rocks and the minerals, then put them on the wagon.

(Alright, is it time for us to discuss what shall happen in the future of this story now that we have hit a milestone? :3 I do have a few ideas in mind but I am curious if you might have any. It seems we have both been pretty busy lately so I totally understand that we can't reply as often as he used to.)

(Ok :D I also have some ideas. You wanna talk here or should we move to PMs? Though if you have a Tumblr it'd be easier)

Maren not seeming to be the least bit pleased as he and the other slaves were herded to the mine's where they were to work, likely until they died, the human knew very well by now that he was by far the weakest one of the group, even Aelith likely being stronger than he was with whatever 'mysterious' power she possessed. So far it seemed like every alien he had encountered so far had something that made them stick out and was useful to their captors, Maren himself just kinda being...there. Of course, it wasn't exactly a bad thing as it made the human less conspicuous and less prone to trouble, but that didn't help his ego from being convinced that he could still beat up the likes of Raditz if he really put his body to the task.

The Saiyan so far being the strongest being that Maren had encountered and fought, the human was naive enough to assume that he was the strongest out there as he was given a pickaxe along with the others around him. Oh, if only he had the potential to bury the sharp edge into someone's skull...maybe he would be able to prove the point that he wasn't just some weak Earthling who couldn't hold their own, Maren smashing it into an odd type of glowing rock that seemed to pulsate when shattered like some living entity.
