Future Xenest then went to the tube containing Present Brachi, whom was still floating within the healing liquid, while her tail was waving slightly to and fro due to the motions of the liquid itself. Future Xenest couldn't help but place a hand on the tube itself, sighing sadly.

Future Brachi remained silent, as if knowing that it could have been her inside that very tube... and given Present Brachi's own personality, she would be in a state of Tranquil Fury, Heroic Safe Mode and Berserker combined, which was quite a contrast to her own more rational and calmer posture. Future Xenest himself sighed.

"You know, for some reason I am happy that this didn't happen to you..." He then said to his wife.

"Because of what my counterpart would do?" Future Brachi asked.

"Not just that... I would most likely go completely insane... I almost lost you back against that cursed Dread Saiyan... I don't want to experience that ever again." Future Xenest replied.

"And I don't want to lose you like I lost you not too long ago... you really need to work on other ways to still do what you want to do... all that rage has culminated into what happened to you just now..." She said.

"I am aware of that... but the thing is, I wouldn't know how to... I've been driven by my own anger for so long... I wouldn't know how to look past it... yet..." Future Xenest replied.

Future Brachi remained silent, acknowledging the fact that even Xenest had his limits...

"All those years I wanted nothing more than beat that bastard's face into pulp... and despite my wrath being satisfied on that part, I still felt it deep within... almost like a part of me which I've gotten used to having around..." He said.

"You've been keeping your rage active to protect your loved ones ever since I've resurrected them," Dread Master Bestia said, approaching him, causing the two to turn to her, "I cannot and will not deny you have been successful in those efforts so far, but now you've also felt the full effects of your body being unable to hold all of that rage... which is why I used my powers to inhibit yours to a degree, to give you room to both make your body more resilient and, primarily, urging you to find alternative ways to do what you need to do. Don't forget that enemy forces will be able to exploit that anger at some point, the Dread Saiyan being a prime example, simply to turn that rage against you, which will be your undoing."

Future Xenest could understand where Dread Master Bestia was going with this; he already lost control of his rage once recently and this bit of information would be useful to heed to Bestia's advice.

"I do have to commend him on one thing," Deramas said, "regardless of the cost, he was still able to do what I've only dreamt of doing. I never realized that such pure, undiluted emotion can push someone so far in order to defeat an adversary whom has been making our lives miserable."

"Emotions have always been a great source of power in some way," Dread Master Bestia said, "just one push is enough to send someone over the edge and ascend to a power which they had no idea of that they could reach it. Many examples have been witnessed of people ascending to new powers, simply because of being overcome by emotion, whether it is anger, frustration or even desparation."

"It seems your Dread Saiyan was my Ultima. Something to relentlessly push myself against." Atama said. "But Ultima ruined my marriage. Part of the reason my daughter's heart is frozen." He then chuckled.

"Emotion only ever helped me once. Another difference between Solarians and Saiyans."

"I don't think the Dread Saiyan can be exactly compared to this Ultima of yours. He was completely void of emotions and relished in psychological warfare, if only to mentally break his adversaries." Dread Master Bestia said.

"That he did," Future Xenest said, nodding at Atama, "and although we were initially blocked by having them resurrected earlier, due to a rather conniving plan executed by Bestia and her comrades, everything did come out alright in the end."

Dread Master Bestia nodded at this, remembering a conversation she had with Brachi, Vegetto and Dread Master Raptus about this matter...

Flashback...

'Present' Brachi was back with Dread Master Bestia, the two having first a decent chat that almost appeared to have a mother-daughter bonding part to this before entering the training center themselves.

Both of them were currently watching Brachi's counterpart and her husband unseen. Brachi could feel that Dread Master Bestia was remaining silent on this.

"There is one thing I'd like to know..." Brachi then said, breaking the silence.

"And what would that be?" Dread Master Bestia asked, turning her head to Brachi.

"Why did Dread Master Raptus vaporize the souls of their children back when we were still enemies? Was it truly an attempt to break them by making them believe their children were wiped from existence and that their objective was forever lost? Or was there a different motive behind it, like a secret test of character?" Brachi then asked.

Dread Master Bestia blinked at this, sweating a little. She remembered that scene and the line she spoke at that.

"You believe you can achieve your goal by defeating us, yet you fail to grasp the true depth of your rebellion. The Masters created life, and now, we shall take it away..."

"I... I don't know exactly... I think Dread Master Raptus can answer that question the best." She eventually replied, looking down.

Brachi looked towards Dread Master Bestia and saw the melancholic look on her face. She nodded in understanding, as if she somehow felt that even now she was very ashamed of herself.

"I don't expect those two to ever forgive me for what I have done, not that I'd deserve it anyway, even though I did redeem myself in a way by bringing the ones they lost back to them." Dread Master Bestia eventually said.

Brachi nodded in understanding.

"So, what are you actually planning by joining us in this crusade?" She then asked.

"By trying my best to ensure that you won't befall the same fate as me and make sure that everyone can from now on see me as a worthy ally, regardless of my past mistakes so that I won't end up like a different God of Creation I once heard of." Dread Master Bestia replied.

"It was to temporarily destroy their hope."

The Dread Master soon appeared in a small plume of black smoke, joining the two away from the others.

"Their motivation was to restore their loved ones, and if you had succeeded in restoring them on that world, their tenacity and will would have decreased immensely. Vengeance is a more powerful ally to those two, having known death and anger more than love and peace, so we replaced their drive with a thirst for vengeance when you forced our hand."

He crossed his arms behind his back.

"Had we not done so, they would have died in the battles you endured."

Brachi nodded.

"I understand," She said, at least now having a full understanding as to why this was done, "and it appeared to have paid out in spades for them. I take it you must have seen Future Xenest being able to channel all of his pent-up agression and unleash it in a massive attack. I don't think I've seen that with anyone before."

Bestia nodded.

End Flashback...

Future Brachi chuckled bitterly.

"It's amazing how one can only be pushed so far... the irony is that my husband and I were almost considered a threat ourselves, because of our relentlessness..." She said.

Deramas tilted his head.

"How come?" He asked.

"Well, you could say we were obsessed with our goal of having our loved ones resurrected without any strings attached to it." Future Xenest said.

"Strings attached?" Deramas asked.

"Since the Dragon Balls have been useless to us, we sought other ways to get what we wanted. What we meant with 'strings attached', we simply mean any kind of price to it. There have been stories around how some people have been granted wishes by sorcerers, witches and other deities or any other being with some kind of wish-granting power, without realizing or knowing what the consequences would be." Future Brachi said.

"There are stories of people being granted wishes, which causes the user or someone they love to be consumed by greed and go back to the wishmaker to continue making wishes. Other variations include the infamous 'making a deal with the devil', where the devil supposedly grants a wish for free, but there is still the proverbial fly in the ointment. And since we would have none of those things happen to us, it has made our quest harder, but us not less determined." Future Xenest said.

"That reminds me-" Atama said before rubbing his temples. "No, not now..." He then relaxed. "It's subsided. Old Judas sought power, and I ensured he paid for it with his life."
