The Paris Opera House [Original]

The play opened with a prelude. A story of two kings arguing over the wisdom of idealism over cynicism. While there were minor rumbles in the seats and stage lighting... And guards. Guards running to and fro.

Aquario kept an eye on the guards moving around, assuming that Jacen's skeletons might have cause a distraction. He didn't make any moves yet and stared at the play, trying to see some sort of damsel as Magiana described. He seemed a little frustrated since he wasn't entirely enjoying or understanding the play. As usual, his harsh criticism was obvious.

"Have any clues as to who may be the hostage, Magiana?" Aquario whispered.

"Not yet... you scan the audience while I keep an eye on the stage." Magiana whispered back, eyes trained on the movements of the actors on stage. Though the guards and rumbles put her off.

"If a woman doesn't show up on stage then we check elsewhere."

The curtains closed for a good minute before reopening, Act 1 had begun. A simple cottage grove with a peasant woman singing of her loneliness, with about a good dozen family members right behind her looking confused. The guards stopped their movements but the sounds of gunshots slightly managed to break the sound of the opera.

"I think we might have some business soon, Magiana..." Aquario whispered. "While the guards are distracted, we should snag our hostage and flee."

Aquario slid on hand into this large sleeve and gripped his wand, ready to unleash a spell when Magiana says she's found the hostage or if things blow out in their faces.

"Right... hmm.. would that be her?" Magiana whispered. She was willing to wait a few more minutes in case of more females would enter the stage.

"If only we knew what she looked like..."

The family members started to sing about various things that defined them into one big number, with the woman providing snippets until the very end where she lead them all in one final melody. A stage light was right above someone and was starting to get knocked loose.

Aquario looked at the stage and only assumed that where the spotlight landed was their girl. He knew that they had to hurry before someone catches on to him and Magiana. He bit his lip, still looking behind him to see if the guards were coming in their direction.

"I can only assume that she might be the star of the show." Aquario whispered. "But we must hurry in picking her out, looks like the guards are catching on..."

"Should we make the lights go out?" Magiana whispered. "We can't just run on stage..." She saw the light looking like it were about to fall, unsure of how they should go about doing this.

"Maybe we should cast a spell to make everyone around fall asleep..."

"Looks as if this place is coming apart..." Aquario whispered. "However, a sleeping spell sounds like a good idea."

Aquario dipped his hand inside his large sleeve and pulled out his wand. He effortlessly waved it in the air to emit what looked like stardust and glitter. It continued to swirl around him until he began to engulf the entire audience. He made sure Magiana was left out of the range o the sparkling mist.

"We must hurry, this spell only lasts for a short while."

"Okay. Time to hustle now..." Magiana gripped her wand in her hands, standing up while figuring out a quick way to the stage. She figured they would just climb on and search to see which one would be the hostage, and see if they would meet back up with Jacen behind the stage's curtain from there.

She looked at the area behind the both of them, hoping nobody was going to crash in and catch them red-handed. Mags didn't want to risk hurting any of the patrons in the theater.

The quickest way onstage it seemed was through a corridor from the lobby behind them.

The guards and actors noticed all of the now sleeping patrons, the actors running for their lives while the guards looked around, guns at the ready.

Aquario stayed behind in order to keep Magiana some back up. He huffed at the guards who had their guns ready and loaded. His frown only got bigger and he braced himself for anything that may happen. Of course, he was still willing to defend the young mage with all his might.

"Alright, let this be quick..." He whispered to himself. "And with no casualties..."
