Its almost time for E3! Posts your thoughts here.

I'm personally super excited for Nintendo's Direct!
I
also wonder whether Sony will reveal something around that time too.. since they wont be partaking in this event.

E3 is coming up... so I'm stoked to see what kind of games that will appeared in it. I'm waiting for more information of Sword and Shield and hopefully, they shed some light on SMT V.

Google just presented their "gaming console", in the loosest term possible, earlier today:

Don't know how to feel about this. On the one hand, it's neat idea that you are able to play games without the need of a console, but the constant streaming, along with a monthly subscription, along with charges with games (they claimed that only some games are free) and the constant need of the internet. The ownership of "these games" aren't actually owned and can be revoked at any time... doesn't sit right with me. Physical copies or riot.

I'm not a fan of google attempting gaming so i'll stick to Steam and my consoles

Right?

Of course, I'm not saying that Google shouldn't attempt to enter the gaming market, but the concept that they're aiming for... seems a little off when I think about it. If you have shitty internet, in a sense, this practically isn't made for you. On the offhand when there's a power outage or a disconnection, how would this benefit it?

Of course, I don't know every single lick of details about the thing, but here a few things I saw:

You can then play them in a Chrome browser, on your TV via Chromecast Ultra, or on the Pixel 3 or Pixel 3a (Google expects to support more devices in the future). There will be two kinds of Stadia subscriptions: A free Base subscription, or a $10 a month Stadia Pro subscription. The Base subscription will let you buy and keep any game in the store and let you play games at a resolution of 1080p at 60 frames per second. Pony up $10 a month for Stadia Pro, and you’ll get an experience similar to PlayStation Plus or Xbox Gold. That means heavily discounted games, and a few free games each month. The free games will stay on your account as long as you subscribe to Stadia Pro. You’ll lose access to the free games if you move to the Base subscription, but then get them back should you ever resubscribe to Stadia Pro. Subscribing to Stadia Pro also means you can play at 4K, 60fps, with HDR and 5.1 surround sound if your network can support it.

Google thinks it’s pulled it off, but you’ll need decent bandwidth. Doronichev said you’ll need at least 10 Mbps for 720p and 35 Mbps for 4K—5 Mbps more than Google claimed back in March. While Doronichev didn’t note a requirement for 1080p at the time Google did send me a statement today saying “10 megabits per second will get you at least 720p 60 fps but you’ll often get 1080p at that rate. We have an adaptive algorithm that gives you the best possible quality based on your connection at that time.”

Hmm...

I think Google's thingy will need a lot of tweaking once it comes out because I dont think many people will be able to enjoy it optimally unless they have a really good internet connection + good screen + money for the games that you basically dont really own anyways.
But I'm curious to see how itll do. Its not really my thing since I prefer Nintendo Games in general anyways. XD

Speaking of Nintendo.. they confirmed that Luigis mansion, Links awakening and that Marvel game will be playable at e3. Also maybe the Pokemon game too but im not sure about that one..

Yeah, they confirmed that Pokemon Sword and Shield will be playable during Nintendo Treehouse. This should give users the first taste of the game. My issues is wondering the frame-rate of the Dynamax battles; does it slow down or it's smooth sailing from there?

Yeah. I don't think the idea of these kind of consoles will replace console gaming, and especially since Nintendo Household games will always remained on Nintendo... that's a hard dream to defeat.

I also wonder if Square Enix will finally released a trailer for that upcoming Avengers game they have been teasing about?

Saw the Xbox Live Conerence.

Not too impressed. Didn't care for most games (and some of them were playable on other consoles). Some colorful games look cool, but that's about it.

Project Scarlet looks interesting. Seems like everyone is moving forward to less loading times, but the way they were describing the things made it felt like it cost thousands of bucks lol.

Halo was cool, but I wasn't overly impressed.

I'll be skipping the Bestheda one after the "oops" of Fallout 76 lol. Tell me what's goes on in that one :maybe:

This years e3 was soooo mediocre. So tired of first person shooter with realistic and dark graphics.

Only looking forward to Nintendos conference.. its gonna be the best one for sure. The bar isnt even that high. XD

Yeah. These shooting games are starting to look the same, lol

Nintendo Direct was pretty good! Loving the colorful elements and actual gameplay content.
